anyways, anyone else play opposite instruments?

I switched from trumpet to bassoon. A completely necessary switch, because I hated playing the trumpet, and I LOVE playing the bassoon!
The first woodwind I played was the clarinet, though... I guess it's kind of trumpet's opposite.

Flute to Tuba. Though it's actually pretty common from what I've heard. But, of course, the tubas hate the flutes and such. And I also play the saxophone, and a lot of tuba players seem to not like the sax. So yeah. And such.

Let's see, I started off with clarinet, then switched to flute, then trumpet, then bari sax to alto sax. Now I'm a clarinet again, but I'm bound to go to oboe soon...

Uh, Saxophone to Oboe? Not that weird, I guess. I plan on learning different instruments that all use different embouchures, though...Got reeds covered, same with double reeds, and I plan on learning brass next, probably Trumpet, and then Flute. I figure that learning all of the different embouchures can help me learn even more instruments...fingerings aren't a problem for me.

I'm not sure if it's weird, but I'll give it a go. First I played flute then clarinet then trumpet then baritone. I still play all of these. But I take the Baritone more seriously.

I'm switching(i didn't switch yet. razz ) from Flute to Trombone. (Everbody knows that? xD) So I guess most woodwind players switch to a brasswind and vice versa? I think i'll like Trombone more than Flute because Flute isn't something I wanted to do. razz

I don't switch instruments. I just add them. xd I started off on flute, added picc., then marimba, and now I'm learning alto sax.

I played clarinet, then went to percussion, then to alto sax, and when I get to high school which is in a few months, I'll probably do orchestra in my sophmore or junior year. I might try cello or violin.
