Aside from a seminal Sabbath song, Iron Man is also the subject of Marvel's latest superhero movie which I went to see today. And it was...
Surprisingly good. The action scenes are kept on a tasteful leash to avoid the idiotic gawk-fest that was "Transformers" from last year, though there is a little too much product placement for Audi. Robert Downey, Jr.does a great job with the character, the relationship between his character and assistant Pepper Potts (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) is kept reserved and not forced at all, and the underlying critique of the US military-industrial complex is smart, a rare accomplishment for a superhero movie. In all, the best superhero movie I've seen since the first Spider Man, and certainly worthy of a sequel.
Anyone else seen it?

I've only heard good things about it. Like that it contains a Suicidal Tendencies song. Should be seeing it soon, I hope.

i allready gave up on marvel movies a long time ago
about when the terrible casting of xmen began or so..
the hulk was really the final edge...
am curious about the new one though...edward norton wanted to set that mistake straight...
anyway...iron man can only be better then i expect it to be... xp

I loved the movie myself. I thought Downy did well with the role, the design for the costume was pretty awesome as well.

I think it was probably the best Marvel movie. I nice relief from all the recent disasters they've dished out.

And It's going to take some sharp filimmaking to make Captain America not look corny. I mean, he's a dude clad from head to toe in star-spangled spandex. That's a challenge already.
