These islands are the closest to the main land. Designated Recon Isles because they are used to scout out for invasions. Also, the Recon Isles are the only way into the Water Kingdom by land after entering into their boundaries. With boats that will take them to the other main cities. Also, since this is a scout base, it is also a main military base.

Two of the six islands have forts on them. One is the front island of the chain, and the other one is the sixth. The front one is a bigger, more fortified base, and the last one isn't as big, but fortified as well. The six islands are bridged together, but the ropes can be easily cut. The first three islands are the only one with beaches, the last three are surrounded by cliffs, making the second base more valuable and easier to defend.

With shallow waters, and high cliffs, it was a no-brainer to make these islands the entrance to the Water Nation.

Knowing the scouts places since he used to be of the water kingdom. He wanted to see what the air would do. Moving in the high cliffs he climed in a small cave about halfway. Sitting down just avoiding being seen. Now he would wait for them to come and then he would move and watch. He was no idiot. He had his reasons for being here. Rukku smiled.

Kiro got off the boat that took him from the Continental Capitol to the Recon Isles. the first heavily fortified base before the main Capital of the Water Nation. The six islands were made from the water and land, and even though he didn't want to say it, and the fire, to create a perfect defense against the main land. He bypassed the first two islands, and landed on the third, the last one with a sizable beach for any size boat. As he climbed up the stairs to the higher grounds so he can cross to the sixth island where he would be stationed at the moment.

Kiro finally reached the farthest of the two fortresses. The one closer to the Capital. He always did like this one better, it had better natural defenses, and it could be held with just a handful of men. As well as no beaches, and all cliffs, it was the best place to keep held up. Only the one rope bridge was the way to get here, and after it was cut, no one else could get on the island without climbing the sheer cliffs. Siege weapons couldn't reach them, except for catapults, but it will be ery difficult to transport them to these islands, and get to the island before this one without any open beaches on that island. They'll have to start at the Third Isle.

He settled down in what will be his room in the fort, and got ready to address the troops, they would want him to say something now that he was there, and give them some news. He got ready for his talk.

Taun's small ship sped towards the farther of the two fortress islands. He nudged Zig so she could wake up. "Oi, sleepyhead, were almost here." He said quietly. Seeing that she wasn't going to wake up with that, he stepped back and unceremoniously threw a bucket of cold water on her.

Zig nearly leaped out of the boat as cold water shocked her out of her sleep. "What was that for!?" she shouted angrily. One of the things she hated most was being woken up. When she was drowsy she wasn't the nicest person. Sopping wet clothes hung loosely on her small frame as they dripped into the boat. "Ugh..."

Taun couldn't help but laugh as the sleepy air elementalist nearly leapt out of the boat. He tried to stifle it but only succeeded in falling overboard himself. Sopping wet, he crawled back onto the boat, still chuckling about the fate of his friend.

As Taun fell in the water Zig felt a certain sense of vindication. She couldn't help, but begin laughing as well as the water elementalist dragged himself bag into the boat. Even if she did despise the fact that she was still wet the hilarity of the situation kept her from having a straight face. "Even though I didn't have a hand in it myself I believe that fall just set us even again."

"I believe that you are right my friend." Taun said with a laugh. "But we should probably change out of these sopping wet clothes if we're going to see the Water Knight." He walked over to the middle of the ship and lifted up a trapdoor. "Do you have extra clothes? If you don't I have a few extra sets of clothes."

"I'll have to check," Zig said as she started digging through her bag. She managed to find a decent pair of pants, but she was short on shirts at the moment. "Seems I'll need to borrow a shirt. I wonder where my extra one got to..." Zig appreciated Taun's thoughtfulness and the fact that she wouldn't have to dry her clothes herself. It probably wouldn't be prudent to be using up her energy on such a trivial matter.

"Alright," Taun said before gesturing down the hatch. "Go down the stairs and to the left there should be a small closet with a few extra changes of clothes, take what you need. I'll wait up here for you."

"Thanks," Zig said with an appreciative smile as she tucked a damp strand of hair behind her ear. Carrying the pants down with her Zig found a shirt that wasn't huge on her and changed into both it and her bottoms. Then she climbed back up to the deck and shook out her hair a bit. The silver strands glistened with water droplets and then fell flat into her face covering her eyes. "Well, that's helpful," Zig said sarcastically while pushing her bangs out of her face.

Taun centered and pulled the water out of his clothing, taking the salt with it. As he deposited the blob back into the ocean he saw Zig coming back up on deck. Taun laughed at her biting remark, he walked over to her and said, "Would you like some help with that?"
PostPosted: Wed Sep 03, 2008 7:10 pm

"If you wouldn't mind," Zig replied. Her hair never bothered her until it was wet. Then, it could never avoid hindering her eyesight. "My hair dislikes being wet almost as much as I do."

Kiro was approached by a watchman, and was told that there was a boat sailing for this or the island before it. Kiro thought it was interesting, since you couldn't land on either island. The cliffs were too big and the hidden rocks at the bottom would rip the bow and stern from your boat in seconds. He got up, and followed the man to the wall, and looked at the incoming boat. He recognized them from the castle, during the huge fight that started this mess. He would welcome them, but rules were rules, first they would be tossed into detention cells, because of the Queen and King being so precaution. What a shame though.
