A NES! Go me! I bought the console, two controllers, and a game for a low, low price of 9$. Crazyness. Now it is promptly sitting next to my Wii.

Sweet. Old School gaming rules.
My only old school consoles are the SNES, Sega Genesis (Inoperable) and an original Game Boy (AKA, "The Wonder Brick").

Arios V and an original Game Boy (AKA, "The Wonder Brick"). YEAH! I used to have one of those, till a battery exploded inside it and made it a bit dangerous. I once touched it, didn't know the battery had exploded, and then licked my fingers (had hair in my mouth I think) and... battery acid = yikes. I was very sad when I had to toss it. I think I kept it in a box until my parents moved out of their old house and I went to college. D: Poor poor gameboy... Rest in peace... And... My dad sold my brothers NES. D: How lame is that! He was like "Yeah, I got about fifty for the system and fifty for all the games." I was like "DUDE! NOOOOO! You could've gotten SO much more for it! Or just left it to meeeeeeeee! crying "

Of course, I can't really find the two games I had for it (Super Mario Land and Monster Truck Rally). Dude.....that bites. Sell it to the right person and you can get at least $300 for the console and like $300-$600 for games.

I'd give anything to get my Genesis and all its games back. Thankfully, it shouldn't be too hard to find a second-hand one...
Emulators just aren't the same ;_;

Hear, hear. That's all I got now too. I wish I had my old top-loader NES. I still play tetris and Gremlins like once a week. sweatdrop

Emulators just aren't the same ;_; My Genesis is out of commission, the years in storage took it's toll. Thankfully I know a place around here that sells refurbished Genesis. Just need to get the money for it....and hope that all (or at least most) of my games still work. Emulators suck....it's harder to play many of these games with a keyboard. Then again, it did make Super Ghosts & Goblins a LOT easier (It was still hard though)

It's got such loose controls to begin with...

I've got a top loading NES, SNES, N64, GBC, and Sega Game Gear. *luff* Used to have a Master System, but it belonged to my parents and they sold it in a yard sale... at the time, I didn't realise what an amazing thing they had, so I didn't protest.
And... you know, you can get USB game controllers for like ten or twenty bucks.. XD Emulators don't have to require that you play on a keyboard.
