Recently, I began going from my sleepy little italian coffee shop and switching over to try Starbucks. After a year of rejecting the coffee name, I finally decided to walk in one day and try it out. Before, I hated Starbucks because everytime I go into any one of the stores---- the coffee was HELLA burnt. But now! Its not as bad anymore, in my opinion. But I wanna know what my fellow Washingtonians think of Starbucks now with all the new standards and Pike Place Blend. So... What do you think of Starbuck's latest movement to make it's stores more homey and quaint?

I have always loved starbucks and i have always thought that there stores where homey and quaint. I think that they are way too over priced tho, and I also agree that it is important to support local coffee stands, but I like going to starbucks every once in a while.

I only started on Starbucks when everybody talked about how it sucked. I haven't had their "good" stuff yet, so I suppose when I do it will be epic? *shrug*
Cafe Ladro yo!

if the person who made your drink paid any attention to their retraining, then the coffee should be tasting better. if not, then sorry. =(

Meh...if there were any decent local coffee shops around here I'd go to them but I can't seem to find a good one.
I've always loved Starbucks but they're way too expensive confused

I dislike starbucks, although Poultry, they ARE local even if they've reached evil corporation status and bought out Tully's too...
My preference is for Chai Teas or Italian Sodas anyway, low caffeiene or Bubble tea -minus the bubbles.
<_< So typically for me, not star bucks, whatever asian place is open and selling the teas...
DOWN WITH EVIL CORPORATIONS! -is so owing his paycheck to one though- gonk

The Starbucks in my store is good. What do you think about starbucks new energy shot they can put in thier drinks. Reminds me of jamba juice only with coffee. I think i'll try the energy shot see if it does anything or if it makes the coffee tast any diffrent.

Give me my 100% organic and fair trade coffee and I'm happy.
Having your own espresso machine is so nice too.
I'm still a fan of my locally owned, independent, selling other locally owned and independent coffee, coffee shops though.

Starbucks can't be any worse then the new McDonald's coffee. It tastes like water.

I think it's great to support indie coffee stands (with the exception of the "bikini baristas", I don't like the message they send to our youth), but even though Starbucks is overpriced, I LOVE the green tea frappuccino. huuhhhh yeaaahhhh *drools*

I don't drink coffee so i wouldn't know about that. But I will say that their tea has gotten consistent between their shops. There are 3 in the mall I work in. The one in the middle has always been the best, next the one at the one near the children's play area, then the one by the movie theater.
Now 90% they are all good like the one in the center of the mall.
The best coffee house I've ever been too is one in Snoquamie Ridge (I don't know the name). I tried my mom's drink (I can't remember what it was), but it was so good and it had a triple shot of coffee in it.

I work at Starbucks, and personally, I love it. Not just for the fact that I work there, but they are trying to improve the environment. Give workers great benefits. Fair treatment to coffee bean growers. It's amazing how great the company is.

I don't like coffee, so I've only ever gotten hot chocolate. And I go through the drive thru.
