I read loveless(i've yet to see the anime, my friend has it so i'll have to burn it onto my comp from her^^)and i loved it, I have a couple of questions, Soubi's scars/markings on his neck what are they from? I cant remember if they mentioned it in the manga or not.(i've only read to book two sadly) I plan to get his scars/markings done this winter as a tattoo, with one addition that on the back of my neck, where in the front was the word 'Beloved' I'm going to put loveless its gonna be done in black, it'll be my first of many tattoos, that are anime related^^
Also if anyone could direct me to some good quality images of Soubi (from the manga) where the markings/scars are clearly visible that would be sooo great^^

I thought that the marks just appeared there. That was it was like with the marking's on the two female zero's. I don;t have any picture's with a clear shot of Soubi's beloved scar but if you look at teh picture thread you might find one. Also if you look at screen shot's fromthe anime you'll find one for sure.

I went through the pic thread earlier i could only find one from the manga but it was hard to see the marking. I really need to find some from the manga though cause they're different, the one in the anime and the one in the manga that is.

MM The word Beloved appered on his skin when Soubi forged his Bond with Seimei. Seimei on the other hand, carved the barbbed wire around his neck as a show if loyalty. It was a test to see if Soubi really would follow any order Seimei gave him. It was also a 'collar' Soubi could not remove-since He was in trust.. Seimei's 'Dog' and was a proof of ownership between Seimei and Soubi.
The name beloved was also suposed to bleed everytime Soubi envoked his name to draw power. something they dont show in the anime but dose happen a few times in the Manga. Seimei was .. just off his rocker..

Seimei, just doesn't sound like a very nice dude. Cute, but he seems like he has a whole other agenda.

I believe that is his true marking, and along with the barbed wire that Seimei carved into his neck, he also carved the "Beloved" as a sort of "dog tag"
If I'm not mistaking his true beloved symbol is on his chest (which is shown in recent Zero-Sum chapters)
