Yes, that's the best way to describe them. Basically I'm writing a novel where the world has almost been flooded, and certain people have developed the power to manipulate water. There's only one problem.

I have no NAME.

I can think of a few, but they aren't really good. And Water Bender has already been taken. Help please?

Regolatore dell'acqua...

That means Water controller. But I dont think that is what you are looking for... And I will have to move this eventually. But I will let a few people note it.

Why do they need a name? Is the world in chaos etc.? If so, wouldn't people have better things to do than name this new strange breed that's sprung up? Or perhaps they would nickname them - but obliquely, in a way that wasn't necessarily obvious.
In other words, more background plz. Are you planning to have a conlang?

I liked that one.

Or how about... the Fishies!

No... or perhaps, the Flow?

Good luck! I got it easy when naming my super race: the Wingless xd

Technically the world isn't in that much chaos. The flooding was supposed to happen about 75 years before the story. Most of the chaos has been concentrated in one area of the world, called the.... well, it doesn't have a name either yet, but I'm working on it.

Basically, these people have been around since a few years after the flood, so they've had over 60 years to name them.

yea i agree with the hydrokenetic as well except for one thing. Kenetic means power of the mind.Electrokenetis pryokenetic..so on and so forth. Im not so sure thats what the power is that Bane had in mind...at least how i read it...but if it is then awesome! The name fits. Often knowing what suffixes and prifixes mean can even help you make up you own words with the right meaning. I've done that once or twice. But usually with bazzarre alien-like foodz rofl ever drink qwaffy? ( derived from coffee)

I was thinking kinetic, as in energy, which would make a cool name. Water moving energy. Nice. .5mv^2. Haha...sorry...

yea but sadly for the english language there had to be a difference from kenetic to kinetic....So confusing isn't it? I wish we all spoe japanese instead...oh that would be grand ^_^ *otaku alert going off*

*edit* ohh i see. My mind auto corrects and saw ken instead of kin. i as the reader got my brain tied up into knots... dramallama GOMENASAI! *bows and hits head on accident successfully knockign self out and shutting up*

Serenity: I'm using Rain makers in one of my stories. Though it's not likely this story will see the light of day anytime soon.
