D:
I don't think anyone in this Guild speaks Yoruba.
It's very pretty though.
Báwo ni= hello.
And that's all I currently know... I'm going to start learning it in October/November. I'm excited.

xD I do, too. Hopefully, by Fall, I'll be more advanced in Swedish and able to handle a new language.
Which languages are you currently studying?

It is! A guy from Nigeria (native speaker of Yoruba) came to my school a few Fridays ago for some anti-tobacco assemby; which, in all honesty, I was not interested in and was consequently translating that Ni Wa Wa song into my conlang. After he'd finished speaking, a few people went down to talk to him and ask him questions. I waited ever-so-patiently until everyone else left and we had about an eight minute conversation on languages. xD That was the highlight of my week. He gave me a sample sentence of Yoruba. I had fun trying to de-construct it afterwards with no prior knowledge on the language. xD

COUGH
The front page of the guild totally hasn't changed at all.
COUGH
At any rate, it makes me happy that people are becoming interested in the less well-known languages. I mean, I suppose French, Spanish, German, Japanese and Chinese are all well and good, but there are so many languages that are so awesome that get neglected, like Yoruba, and I'm glad that's changing here.

Koko.Dk Ah yes a language used in the country that started 419 scams! xd For the record, the majority of Nigerian scams are actually by the Dutch, whose scammers apparently like picking on Nigeria.
