Im planning on making a t-shirt one day of my t-bone and under it says 'youre just jealous cuz i get to play with my boner all day' 3nodding
anyway, does anyone else have a problem hitting a high g and double tounging?? i need help with that and my section leader is a poopy-head that doesnt do anything

Hmm... a high G or a HIGH G? high G I don't have trouble, but I only play trombone in jazz band.

Weiwei Haoma How on earth does anyone hit a High G, damn its so high =_= No, it's not. Double high F is "damn it's so high". Double tonguing on high notes is easier for some people than lower notes : Just Practice tonguing fast, then double tonguing slow, then trying to do it faster smile

Godch I feel stoopid. crying I can hit high F just fine, but any higher I have problems. (My high F is the one just above the staff. xp)

And the highest I've hit is like, 2 ledger lines and a space above the staff... Ya, I'm lame... (I'm only in 8th grade, is that a good excuse?? ><)

(I'm only in 8th grade, is that a good excuse?? ><) dont worry...im a sophomore and i can only play up to about 2 lines above the bar too. its really hard on a trombone...but the lower notes i kick a** :3

Next, take a deep breath. You may not be using enough air, and all notes, especially those at the extremes of your range, require lots of air to sound good. Blow fast, spinning air through the horn. Still not getting it? PUSH IT, PUSH IT! HARDER! (that's what she said...) If you're getting the sound out but it sounds gargly, refine it, and don't overblow. And, playing the role of Dr. Obvious, practice it. It really isn't as high as you think. psycomachine is right. Practice that articulation, though I would practice a "dig-a-da-dig-a-da-dig-a-da" as well.
