Alright, so does any one else have this same pet peeve? I always end up in some conversation that I end up saying that i'm fat out loud. Well, since my friends are my friends and we are all nice to each other someone always says "No your not!" No, no buddie. I am fat. I look in the mirror and I know that all that extra stuff hanging off is not an illusion. I see that I weigh 300lbs when I look at the scale. You cannot tell me that i'm not fat when I KNOW I am. Lucky for me, one of my friends gave up comforting me and just doesn't respond.
So everyone, what do you prefer to be told? That your not fat if you know you are or have nothing said at all? (Or other if you have one.)

I know, right?! A blatant lie, that's one of the lamest things ever. rofl
I'm fine with being told straight out that I'm fat. I mean, it's the truth. Fortunately so far, I've met people who talk to me nicely about it. They're mostly like, "Aw...man, you're overweight...you need to change your lifestyle if you wanna live long... sweatdrop " But I just shrug it off and say "Yeah, I know. wink "
But if the person is going to be an arrogant a** about it, I'm left with a bad impression of them. xp Like the kind of rubbing-it-in tone that my mom uses with me. I swear, she uses that kind of tone where I half-expect her to say, "Yeah, you're fat and ugly." rolleyes

I've come to the conclusion that when people say 'No you're not!', they mean that you're not ugly, because so many people say fat as ugly. (Even when talking about skinny girls 'Look at that fat whore!'). However, on the few occassions someone tried to tell me that I wasn't over weight, I was annoyed. I explained to them that it hurt my feelings more when they lied, than when they didn't say anything at all. But I don't say "I'm fat" often because it can come off as a little whiney. xD

I prefer to just be told that i'm not fat, i'm just not skinny. xDDD oh and mimisi I agree on what you say about the current standings of the word fat. It's somewhat rediculous to even use it like that xP Makes me kinda angry when I hear people say it really But yeah, I know when i'm with my friends that tends to come up in conversationn if i'm fat(Because my friends enjoy comparing weight-talk about awkward for me). Most of my friends are VERY skinny mind you. And they give me that look like, "What am I spose to say?" and theyre like, "Ohhh come on don't talk like that, you're not fat!" I think my favorite ones are the ones who say, "Come on think of it this way, do a little more jogging or weight lifting, that weight will be gone in no time!"
But you know just by the way society uses the word fat now days, it's becoming a cuss word...I'll never tell someone they're fat. I use words like, over weight, more to love, pleasantly plump, etc;. Depending on what they are.
But, my fave thing to say is; It's just not my era. I was brought up in the wrong time period for my weight attributes!
