There are some conditions that make you heavy. Genetics can play a part. There are some mental health medications that make people gain weight.
That being said, however, to weigh over 1000 pounds is simply insane. I can't feel sorry for that. I don't care how much of a predisposition someone has for gaining weight, there has to be some degree of self control. Today, who doesn't know what foods are unhealthy? And who doesn't know that five pounds of food per meal might make you gain?
1000 pounds, that's so big you can't get out of bed. So what did she do? Just lay there? Not even attempt to move. Why should she? She had people to cater to her.
Some things to consider. If you can't get out of bed, how do you go to the bathroom? If your waist is that big, how do you wipe yourself clean? You don't.
Looking at the last person on that list, they broke down a wall to get her out, got her down to 350 lbs and then "It was only a matter of months before she had regained more than 200 pounds." Months?
Over time, most of us gain some weight. In a year, we might be a size larger or close. But how in the world do you gain 200 lbs in months? How inactive does a person need to be and how much do they need to eat?
The excess really disgusts me.

Quote: Garcia "normally eats five meals a day, which include two 32-ounce steaks, a half-gallon of ice cream, a container of cake frosting, a large pepperoni pizza, plus gobs of mashed potatoes, tacos, pork and beans, and eight packages of peanut butter cups." Is there any doubt that his weight is his his fault? There shouldn't be. I'm not judging, mind you. I'm looking at how many calories are in these foods and to see this five times a day? He's not even trying to be healthy.

I feel the same way. It's up to each person to decide how to live, including how and what to eat. Obviously, these people didn't have enough support from those around them, or far too much indulgence. Seriously, who feeds them if they can't even roll over without help? That's right.
Breaking down walls, having fire trucks to small to transport ONE person or eating more in one meal than some eat in a week is simply ridiculous.
I really hope that people learn how to take care of themselves, so this kind of lifestyle ceases to exist.

if any of these people lived in the starving regions of say, Africa, they never would've gained any weight at all or else they would've been Dinner..........

NiennaSayyadina I really hope that people learn how to take care of themselves, so this kind of lifestyle ceases to exist. I hope for that too. But I doubt that will happen. People are idiots and love to do things that are bad for them.
