This is a poll asking what you think is the most important thing anime companies should do in order to help improve their business practices.

I'm cheap, so my first thought was "LOWER PRICES!", but other than that, I'd have to say getting more anime on TV. I would rather preview a series on TV before I spend good money on it.

I think that manga-translating groups could do a better job at hiring writers~ because you don't need to change everything the character said for it to make sense! *kills HxH English Adaptation writer*

I hate buying anime because of the price of the DVDs I don't work so it is hard to save up my money that my mom gives me to school... *sighs*

Get more anime on TV. There's a lot of anime that I would buy but I don't have the money to pay $25-30 for 6 or more DVDs.
Also, I hate it when translation companies change cultural references and such. I'm always thinking, "Wait, in Japan they know about ____?" All you need are translation notes at the back, most manga readers are not little kids, we can handle other cultures rolleyes

I would personally like to see lesser known titles promoted because I don't usually go for the big name shows. The stuff I like, more often than not, if the stuff in the cheap bin because no one's ever bothered to pick up a copy.

Clara thinks they should license more interesting titles.
Because America is currently suffering from a crippling lack of shoujo-ai, and it's up to the anime companies to fix it! scream

I know it's hot right now, but there are still way too many "sexy upperclassman seduces younger shy boy" type stories out there for me to be happy. We need NYNY, durn it! Or Challengers, even!

Hmm, probably become original again. I''m tired of Moe-esque rehashes of Harem anime or action anime. Some studios seem to be notoriously unoriginal, which is pretty obvious when you look at their track record.
I really wish that more companies would do breakthrough animes like Gankutsuou (The remake of the Count of Monte Cristo in the future.). That was such an original and unique idea, it was intertaining, allthough almost nothing like Dumas'' original work.
What they really need to do to fix this is to STOP ACCEPTING HGAME LICENCES. For god''s sake, the people of us who would not recognize "SHUFFLE" as a popular HGame want to be entertained. If you''re gonna animate a HGame, at least do it without that obvious "They''re having sex in the back scenes" feel.

they should go for lower prices and more accurate translations (if you buy an english version in the first place.)

THE number one suggestion I can make here is that the companies could be doing a better job at NOT editing the mangas and anime as they come to america. I think it's terrible how they edit things (sometimes really silly things, even) out just so they can put a lower rating on it and make an extra buck! stressed
By the way - that's what the Fan Girl Army is all about! The foundation for edit-free manga! Join today!
