i ma asking this because in my band class, there is only 1 boy that plays the flute and the rest is only girls... did u ever notice that????

well, 2, but he might as well be a girl
i think its that way with freshman band as well
i play sax, and thought it'd be fun to pick up flute
and it is, but its kinda hard to get the notes out by blowing across a hole once youve been playing a reed instrument for 7 years, and a brass for 3.

Yeah.. I only know 1 guy who can play flute...he's so unreliable though and never turns up for any rehearsals <.<

I think flute was worse at the beginning

• • • Yeah, same here. I get put on first parts even though I"m a freshman cause my other flautists can't hit the high notes and hold them. I like double and triple tounging though...

Actually, there are 4 guy flutes in marching band this year, and only 1 of them is gay. We're really lucky though.
