In the pilot of Jericho, the kids are asking which one is the left hand. She says hold up your hands, thumbs out. The one that makes the L is the left.
So simple, yet I never heard that before.
That's almost as bad as my best friend not knowing right or left until she was learning how to ride a bike at 10 years old. xp

That you can have a super-devoted fan base, yet your show is always cancelled due to low ratings. Latest victim: Jericho. Seriously, there were enough viewers willing to send CBS rice in order to save it and make a second season, yet they still don't take that into account and cancel it again. How bad are the ratings, anyone? I'm watching it out of curiosity now just to know what the frak CBS is thinking.
And I'm a total sucker for cancelled TV. It's like my life's motto behind Stuff Happens.

I had a band teacher in HS walk by us, holding her hands out, turn to us, show her hands and say "They form 'L's!"

I learned the L trick when I was little.
I still have to do it sometimes to remember which is which. D:

I still can't remember left from right unless I picture standing on the stage at the Wilson theater, then I can remember which is stage left and which is stage right.
I learned that you always paint your trees happy =)
