Okay, first off, let me state this:
THIS IS NOT TO START A CONSOLE WAR. IT IS TO GET OPINIONS AND TO SEE IF THERE WOULD EVEN BE A MARKET FOR IT IF THERE WERE GAMES ON THESE SYSTEMS. WHY DO I WANT TO KNOW? GRINS AND GIGGLES, NOW VOTE IN THE POLL. =P
Most of you have probably noticed that Harvest Moon games have primarily been on Nintendo systems, with a few ventures on Sony consoles. My question is this:
Excluding Wii (which already has a game coming soon), of the other two current gen consoles, which would you rather see an HM game on? Why?
Secondary question to answer here in the forum: If there were a Harvest Moon on PS3 and/or XBox 360, would you play it? What would you like it to be like?

Okay, to set a good example, I'll go first.
I'd actually like to see an HM on the 360. My reasoning being:
--PS HMs haven't been that great. The only exception I can honestly say is BtN, but even it was laggy.
--XBox has never had an HM. I'd like to see what it can do.
--It would bring HM to a market of people who may not have had any experience with Harvest Moon.
--Sub-reason: I don't own a PS3 yet. xd
As for what I'd like to see...
An HM with gameplay elements similar to Magical Melody (in other words, classic HM gameplay) with Save the Homeland/AWL-style looking people.
Rune Factory would be an excellent candidate for the 360 as well, methinks.

I'd say XBOX 360 because my experience with it on the PS2 was horrible so I don't really trust it on PS3. And it sounds kinda cool to see a HM game on it

360 hands down.
(Because as the icon says, the PS3 cost more than a combination of souls. DX)
Also, I think the 360 has more abilities for decent applications than the PS3 which really isn't that much different from the PS2.

I'd love to see HM on the 360... Mostly because it's the only newer console that I currently own. And I don't think that I'll be buying a Wii anytime soon. So sad.

Elisabell-angel enraged I would buy Harvest Moon, no matter what system it's on. As would I, and I'd even go so far as to buy a system just for HM. ::looks at her PSP on the floor that she bought for Innocent Life and Boy&Girl:: However, what I'm looking for is if you, the player, could choose which console the next HM game was going to be made for, which would you choose, and why would you choose it?

Definatly 360. Imagine how huge of a game they could build with the 360. See Assasins Creed and Oblivion! I'm not saying they have to be that grand of a scale but theres alot to be done there. Also 360 wants to get more into everyone play together. Viva Pinata lets you wander into other peoples gardens. Imagine wandering into other peoples towns. And I like that you dont have to have a code swap and you can actually chat intead of using emotes to prevent cursing. I understand why thats in place but it sort of defeats the purpose of making new friends via games. And I just think the controls are perfect. XD On a side note I don't think the PS3 would be suitable for a Harvest Moon. It's too high class for us simple farming folk. Or at least this simple farming gal. lol.

Seconds Sakura's reasons and candidates. xd We don't have a 360 or a PS3, but we're looking at a 360 in a year or 2, depending on whether or not my husband gets the factory job he's gunning for (cross fingers and good thoughts, people! ).

I'd like to see it on PS3 as long as it looks awesome and its fun and not more complicated than necessary. ANd death to Natsume if I have any more lagging. PLus I hate X-Box controllers.

PS3, considering it is the only one of the two that I currently own. I've always loved Sony and never really got into the x-box or the 360, though I am considering buying one. If a HM game came out on it, it would defiantly drive me to buy one sooner than I plan to.

It really doesn't matter to me. It could be on the orignal gameboy and I wouldn't really care. I did like the gameboy systems. But I liked the second one better.
