Yoruichi padded out of the darkness that surrounded her and surveyed the ShadowClan territiory. It seemed desolate. She was half reluctant yet half excited to see her old clanmates. They probably won't recognize me. She thought to herself. She didn't think she changed too much, her pelt was the same she didn't look skinny from hunger, it was all the same except the feeling of emptyness from within her. A void so large it seemed that it would never be filled. What did she lack? She had everything except... That was it, she had everything except love. As a rogue love would be hard to come across and what she might find may be temporary.
Yoruichi ignored her rising doubt and padded on towards the heart of the ShadowClan territory. It seemed everywhere she turned eyes were staring back at her. This was a sensation she didn't miss when she had left the forest. So much had been lost yet so much was gained.

Scotty stooped low and glared with crystal eyes at the intruder. His bright pelt, compared to the many other ShadowClan cats, sparkled with a slight glow in the moonlight. Questions darted through his head but only one managed to stick.
Why is no one doing anything about this?
Flashing his claws, Scotty leapt at the mysterious feline. He did not aim to kill, but instead attempted to get the rogue down. She was older than him so he only had a few advantages, but that was not enough. He needed to show, or at least make it appear, that he was more powerful.

Yoruichi was caught off surprise by the attack but quickly pinned her attacker to the ground. As she about to bite down on his shoulder she gasped out, "Scottykit?" Astonishment hit her hard. It couldn't be him!

Scotty fell to the ground and dust flew to all sides. He felt unsettled that she knew his former name.
"How do you know me?" he hissed, "And it's not Scottykit anymore..." Scotty had the matured body of a warrior though he had not yet gained the position. Refusing to believe that he knew the rogue, Scotty pushed back and stood on his feet, glaring.

Yoruichi sat up and licked a paw. "It's me, Yoruichi." How much he had grown since she left, it was amazing. "I visited you in the nursery before I... Left."

"Do you expect me to believe you just like that? Prove it." He sneered. Something in his mind began to flicker. It was an image of his mother. Was there someone there with her...? ScottyPebble stared at the black feline as she cleaned her paw. If she did know him, she would understand the origin of his name.

Scotty glared at the feline before retracting his claws.
"Well, it's not my place to judge if you can stay or not..." he said looking away. This she-cat had known him when he was just a kitten.

"I came back because I needed to rekindle the bond that was left behind Scotty-- What is you warrior name?" He never told her and by the size of him odds were that he was a warrior now. Could their bond come back? Was it ever lost?

"Uhh, I'm ScottyPebble. What was your name again...?" Scotty figured she did not mean to harm anyone so attempted to treat her more normally.
"I'm... sorry for attacking you ma'am."

Yoruichi purred, "It's me Yoruichi." She went a little closer to him and sat down next to him. The satifaction of being with her old clan again...

Scotty nodded, his eyes closed.
"Yes, that's right." He could hear the soft purring beside him and let it stick in his mind for a bit, attempting to recongnize it. It was a bit familiar...
"I just have three questions for you. Why did you leave? Why did you come back? And what was my mother like...?"

Yoruichi wasn't surprised from the questions and answered them slowly. "I left because I felt incomplete here... I came back to see my old friends because I missed them. Your mother... She was my dearest friend. She was a gentle and kind cat to all..." Her eyes narrowed and she continued, the last part of her tone feircer then she had intended, "Until that day... She had gone hunting and a RiverClan warrior had invaded or territory. Your mother fought valiantly... When I got there I was too late... I scared off the warrior and was by your mother during the last moments of her life."
