Crap, Gaia just had to pick a fight with the Channers... again.

Long story short, a bunch of these new hats are memes of the Channers, and they've been talking about declaring war on Gaia. Full-scale hackings and everything. So do not, I repeat DO NOT post in the main forums. Change passwords to new ones, erase private information, lay low, do whatever you have to do, just be ready, it could get hot in here.

(Great, as if losing Rye the first time wasn't bad enough... I'd almost forgiven them for that, too... Why in the firking hell did Gaia have to go and set the Channers off again?!)

Yeah, they are a little extreme about stuff like this. Apparantly it happened to a lesser extent when Gaia released the Orly hat. And of course the Subeta incident, feat. Longcat. Channers are so mature, aren't they?

Link is a 404... but it could be that it automatically does that when you click into 4Chan from Gaia. I don't get what the big deal is, really, half of the people on Gaia are regular posters in 4Chan, among other image and message boards, Almost everyone has visited 4Chan at one point or another. Lameoids. They can't even tell who is 'with them or against them' with their anonymous posting. That place is mostly made of of perverts, *****, /b/tards (more perverts), and a handful of serious Anons. Basically it's visual GD on crack without supervision

Okay. Well, you know about the new hats released with the Infinity Hat, right? Well, some of those new hats are very similar to memes, used regularly by Channers. Longcat being a fairly famous one, and so on. Well Channers are apparantly really protective of 'their' memes, so they're trying to get together and raid Gaia, cause all kinds of trouble and stuff. If they can manage it, I'm sure they'll try hackings and messing with the market.

And hmm. The link worked before, I think the thread got deleted. Which is good, it backs up what I read by Saikatsu earlier this morning. That this newest planned Gaia raid is unsanctioned by Channer-mods, so the Channer-mods are using their banhammers and deleting threads that are suggesting Gaia raids.

All threads on 4chan get deleted when they're inactive enough to get pushed back to page 10. You could maybe find it again if you look on the 4chan archives site. Changing passwords to something new and random is a good idea, but I personally am not too concerned about a possible raid. Just be careful, guard your information, and refrain from posting too much in the main forums if you can. That last bit is probably good advice any day, regardless of security stuff.

And just don't feed the trolls.

Yeah, I'm a little less worried about it than I was last night, but I'm still going to try to be careful. Some of my mules will keep bumping out in the CB or whichever forums they've found themselves in, but I think that's low-key enough to avoid any major problems, I hope. Rye and a few others will stay here in the guilds where it should hopefully be safe.

It's funny how pixels images can get a group of people so imflamed, especially when something like lolcats probably is not copyrighted or their "property". confused

But all hacking scares aside, I want a ceiling cat. gonk I got really into lolcats this year and check it daily if not more. @__@
