Sadie sighed as she trudged along through the forest following the ever boisterous Taylor. She had been having a peaceful nap at the teepee when the dumb tan mare had interrupted that peace and quiet with her loud mouth and the only way to shut that mouth up was to go and do whatever it was that her "companion" wanted. Unfortunately, this entailed going for a walk to the meadow cause Taylor was hungry and didn't want to go alone. Taylor on the other hand was bright and chipper as usual. Nothing could ever pull her mood down or put her into a bad mood...except for those who did not give her the attention that she wanted. Even then she wouldn't let it show that she was upset. That was also partly to the fact that she was so thick headed that she mostly ignored people ignoring her and bothered them anyway.

Lux was bored. What an odd occurrence, she thought as she moved silently through the dark forest. She usually could find something to do, but today her mind wandered so often that whatever she had been thinking would suddenly be gone in a moment. It made the day tiresome, and seem entirely way to long. She sidestepped a fallen branch, and flicked her cropped tail back and forth. Wandering is all she had left to do for the day, and hopefully it would give her something to do.
She knew the meadow was up ahead, not to far, and she almost turned away. Did she really want to go to a meadow? Not really. She stopped her stride and stared at nothing for a moment, letting her thoughts ping pong back and forth in her head. What to do, what to do.

It wasn't long before the cheerful brown and teal mare began to hum and then eventually began to sing, rather loudly and rather badly at that. She was just in a really good mood as the sun was shinning and she was off to go fill her belly. Who wouldn't be happy with that?
Sadie on the other hand was becoming more and more annoyed with the other mare and her horrid singing. "Taylor! Will you shut it already! Ya can't sing so there is no use trying!" she finally blerted out in frustration. But this only seemed to make the other sing louder.

Hearing the voices that filled the field with noise gave Lux a pause. She peeked around the tree in front of her to see what was up. She saw to mares, and one seemed to try to be singing, if it could really be called that. Tossing her mane, she took her first step onto the field and started to slowly make her way over to the two. She was probably being overly cautious. Its not like they could hurt her…Could they?

Taylor continued to sing her horribly terrible song, much to the annoyance of her companion. She certainly had not noticed the approach of another mare into the field as she was not paying very much attention to anything, like usual. "Come on Say-say! Sing! Your being too grumpy and need to cheer up!!" she exclaimed and sang on.
Sadie just snorted and shook her head. It was impossible to get Taylor to do anything reasonable, even if you asked her nicely. She was just too full of herself to notice anything or anyone around her. "I will not sing with you!" she exclaimed highly frustrated. "I am going to go find somewhere nice and quiet to lay down while you stand here and make a fool of yourself." she said and turned, catching the sight of the other mare finally, and stopped, watching the other with curiosity.

Lux continued her journey to where the two other mares had decided to stand. The brown and blue mare was still singing and was horribly off key, and the other looked to be aggravated. She could sympathize. It seemed the other mare, the reddish brown one, had noticed her and she stopped short a few feet away from the duo and smiled. She would be nice to them, that is, unless one of them was rude.
