Its been posted in the announcements as a new item in the gaia cash shop, one which generates a random hat, either from the large selection available, an exclusive selection, or "rare and valuable ones from gaia's past."
Reminds me of the OMG giftboxes... however... that last part has me a bit hung up... hats from gaia's past. This is by no means fact... merely an opinion, especially considering I don't even know what you can get out of the thing, but... sorta reminds me when they were talking about raffling off stuff from seized accounts... that last part makes me lean towards the possibly that they are talking about things such as afk and omg hats that they've taken from hackers... wonder if this "randomly generated hat that costs real cash" is their way of "raffling it off".
Any thoughts?

Do Halos count as Hats? I know they truly aren't hats but in Avatar positioning terms I would believe they are... but I doubt they'd have the original Halo in the Infinity Hat lol.

Random stuff though.
I do believe the items from the past must of been from accounts that are not in use or been banned...
Kinda makes me thing they are going to do a CI's box later in the future...

I'd liek to know how the infinity hat works...
if it's a one-time random hat.... or an random every time you put it on... for if it's the latter, I like it far better.

It is basically like a OMG box but with different types of hats and wigs, which I got a wig...
I opened one of them and you are stuck with that item.

Eh, I am just tired of the Cash Shop all together. The items are not that great to me. Only thing I liked about the cash shop was evolving items but even those are starting to get boring.

I'm still entertained by the Cash Shop and Gaia knows items like these get them lots of cash, so, eh, it's all okay. Many of those hats made me laugh, and I guess that's what is important.

Many of those hats made me laugh, and I guess that's what is important. Yes but this item disappointed me I wish they didn't put older MCs in it because the angelic headband is now half of the price it was the smornin'.
