WOW. eek I can certainly say I'm interested.
I'm reading over all the news and speculations as I'm making this post, and where do people get off that Sonic has a monster form without any official proof yet? rofl I still say it's something Dr. Eggman (or Robotnik as some may prefer...I've just grown used to calling him Eggman) created to fight Sonic.
The gameplay is also looking very sweet so far! 2.5D, with the occasiona 3D areas? I'd get a bit annoyed with frontal angle parts, though...they always get me into moments of dyslexia. xd

Man, that is definitely the best Sonic freak-out face yet. XP
I'm at least gonna hope that the game turns out decent, and that Sonic Team actually takes a little more time on it this time (and please, PLEASE, no more long loading times! x_x )
...okay, after seeing the video. Holy crap....THAT is the game that Sonic '06 should have been.

I can honestly say that I'm interested. The gameplay looks as if Sega actually got things right this time around.
Also, that face generates massive lulz. lol

Not sure if 2d/3d is really the right way to go- I'm convinced a full 3d game could be viable if they actually had decent designers- but this is nontheless quite promising.

I agree, but because Sonic is in a bit of a funk, a 2.5D game doesn't seem like such a bad idea to try right now. I WILL be amazed if Sonic Team some how screws this up.

Oh, so that Sonic the Werehog thing is a go, eh...? That premise still feels awkward to me...but eh. Let's wait and see how it goes...

While reminded of altered Beast, I'm curious as to how Sonic's "Beast-form" will affect gameplay. I mean, most of the stages appear to be linear, so they don't look like they're designed for brawling. So does that mean that Sonic's beast-form will still be capable of running at high speeds, while beating the tar out of anything in his way? I hope so.
Now, here's what I suggest. Any fans who want this game to be as good as it possibly can, should get in contact with Sega and let them know that we're willing to wait if the game needs more polish. Hell I'm willing to wait till Holiday of 2009 if I have to.

So any opinions about the Werehog gameplay? I think its going to be the definite weak point of the game.
