Located on the seventh floor, the entrance to the Gryffindor common room is hidden behind a large painting of a Fat Lady wearing a pink, silk dress. A password is needed to reveal the round opening in the wall.

Anna virtuously, or at least she liked to think it was virtuously, ignored his laughter and allowed him to pull her to her feet. When he launched into his whole tirade, the tirade which she took to mean she couldn't take a nap tomorrow, she stuck her tongue out at him. You're never too old to do that, you know. When he began talking about History of Magic, she made a face. "Ugh... History of Magic. Don't get me started. Surely you remembered those daily rants I would launch into after every class? Though, I guess I have to thank him. If it weren't for Binns, I never would'v perfected my monotone." She followed this up with a sheepish grin hinting on pride around the edges. However, she didn't bother to do her imitation.
She nodded when he suggested the leave, taking to the staircase immediately - or at least as soon as she reached it. Now, Anna was odd in the sense that she had to run up the staircase. Whether because it was a good Quidditch drill that got you in shape, though they did practically no running at all, or because she simply had to be first, even she wasn't sure. As long as she could remember, she'd always run up stairs. There fore, she took to doing that and raced up the stairs almost as if she were on her Firebolt. Upon arriving at the portrait hole, she waited for the prefect to open it, and hopped in after him, apparently on sugar high. When she saw the comforting, oh-so-inviting, over-stuffed arm chairs, she stood there in the middle of the flood of students, contemplating whether or not she should sit down.
She really looked rather odd in the middle of it. But, then again, she was Anna.

Damian followed Anna up the stairs as quickly as he could. If he weren't so tired, he probably would have been able to keep up, but as it was, he found himself lagging behind her. When he finally got to the common room and followed in the crowd of Gryffindors, he felt completely exhausted. 'I may be a year older, but the Gryffindor common room hasn't changed a bit since I got here.' He flopped down on one of the empty couches near the fireplace. Laying there, surrounded by a warm fire and Gryffindor hangings, he felt right at home.
"Oy! Anna, get over here." he yelled to her, using his arm to wave her over.

Anna nodded a tad over-enthusiastically, her hair bobbing a bit as she did so, and skittered over to join him. She sat about ten inches from him, placing her hands behind her head and stretching her back. "Alright, alright, I'm here, happy?" She teased him, smirking. She put her arms down and turned to him with a suddenly serious expression. "To be fair, I'm not sure I'll be able to get up. And, seeing as you invited me over here, I'm holding you accountable." She told him in a much too cheery voice. It would appear that when Anna was on sugar-highs, she used big words. So, I'll translate that.
"I'm not gonna be able to get up. You made me come over here, so you carry me up to the stairs and shake me until I wake up. I'd have you up the stairs, if I could, but I don't wish for you to die quite yet."
( <3 Anna is so odd.. Yet so fun to play~ XD Also, for the record, the text in both bold and italics she did not say. )

Damian thought for a moment. 'Carrying Anna up the stairs...hmmm...sounds like fun.' he thought. He stretched out a bit more on the couch, arching his back. "Okay." he said nonchalantly. He then proceeded to let out a great big yawn. He wasn't even sure if he'd be able to get himself up the stairs, but he would not let himelf fall asleep down here again.
Last time he had fallen asleep in the common room, which had been in his third year, a few girls decided to take advantage of that. When he awoke, he had simply grabbed his schoolbag and walked out to head to his class. On the way there, people started to laugh and snicker as he walked by. Since he didn't know why, he stopped someone and asked what was so funny. The person gave a snort of laguhter and told him to check his face. Damian then ducked into the nearest boys' bathroom and looked in the mirror. His face had been painted up with a ton of makeup and it looked downright ridiculous. He immediately washed the stuff, but oh did he get back at those girls. Later that night, he sent a niffler up the stairs to the girls' dorm. Judging by the loud noises and screaming, he would have assumed that complete chaos had just taken place.

Anna, too, shrugged in a non chalant matter and relaxed against the sofa. She then stared into the bubbling, sizzling flames of the Gryffindor fire in slight wonder. How awesome fire was; it could be contained by people both magic and muggle, and yet it could destroy so many things in a heart beat. For example, in the time to took to grow a tree, an entire forest and more could be singed to nothing. That was why Anna avoided fire spells as much as she could. The incendio in the Great Hall earlier, had just sort of slipped out. She looked rather contempt on the outside, now, as her thoughts wandered; though she soon forced it out. Allowing herself to hang out with her best guy friend.
"I missed this over the summer. Nothing compares to the Common Room." She said wistfully, eyes slightly glazed with memories.
( Short, pointless, sorry. I'll be back. x3 )

Nicodeamus, hulking and tall, reclined in the plush chairs, having magically enchanted it to hide his tall frame as he faced the fire in the Common room. Having eaten, thankfully largely unoticed, other than that first year that had kept staring at him, he returned to the Common room as soon as he could, not wanting to spend his time around them. He hadn't seen their Head of House at the feast, and assumed, like every year, he was with his wife and son. His dad was actually close friends with Professor Marshall, and they had spent many summers together. "Missed it? Wow. At least you weren't in St. Mungos all year. Lillian woke up, ya know," the seventh year said to Anna in his loud booming voice. Unlike his father, it wasn't gruff and low, actually having a slight french accent to it.
Right now, had anyone seen his face, they would have sworn they were looking at the devil. The fire created strange shadows on his face, darkening his grey eyes to a dark onyx black. The way his hair was slick back into his ponytail, unlike the usual Nordic mane of hair that was wild, made him look rather buisnesslike. A small braid hung from his chin, a beard. It was tied in a knot, a Viking fashion that he greatly enjoyed. The problem was that his goatee was too small, so it ended up rather pathetic looking. "I'm glad I'm graduating next year. I'll be able to take care of Lill," he continued, a smile on his face.

Damian nodded in agreement. He closed his eyes, letting the warmth of the fire warm him. He loved just being lazy sometimes. It was so...relaxing. "What's not to love about Hogwarts? I could do without the Slytherins, but no place on earth could probably be more perfect." he replied.
Damian was startled when a voice out of nowhere suddenly spoke up. He opened his eyes and looked around the room. He finally spotted Nicodeamus hidden in one of the armchairs. Damian knew most of the Gryffindors pretty well, but this particular one he didn't. In fact, he didn't even know if he remembered the name, though the face was definately familiar.

Lance panted slightly as his guide finally stopped up on the seventh floor in front of a portrait of a rather plump lady. 'Well, even if the food is rich, I'll never have to worry about getting fat...' he thought to himself as the Prefect turned to face him. "This is the Fat Lady, guardian of Gryffindor Tower. To enter, you need to tell her the password, so don't forget it. This week's password is 'snickerpoodle'." As the Prefect finished speaking, the Fat Lady smiled and her portrait swung forward, revealing a perfectly round hole in the wall.
After climbing through, Lance's eyes went wide. The Common Room was large, and decorated in bright crimson and gold, the Gryffindor House colors. Some students were already there, chatting near the fire in large, comfy-looking armchairs. He almost missed his guide's next words as they said, "Girls' dormitories are up the staircase to the right, boys' on the left. I also wouldn't recommend trying to access the opposite gender's dorms."

Thomas walked inside the common room, looking at it carefully. Nothing changed since his first year. It was always clean and nothing was supposed to be on the ground. As always, 5the firsts years had no idea where they were and what to do. Though, they had to be here. At one point they would get what they need to do here. And to keep quiet while they were doing homework. Though, he wasn't someone to talk. He was not the oldest, and would still need a couple of years before he could be the oldest. Which was something we couldn't wait to do. He really wanted it and it would happen for sure. If he doesn't get kicked out of the school by then.
Thomas shrugged to himself and sat down on the couch, as usual alone. He never really had any friends. He wasn't someone would have friends. He didn't know why but a lot of people didn't like him. He looked at the people around him talk, as he sat quietly waiting for someone to talk to him. He wasn't sure that it would happen. But who cared?

Moira flowed down the steps from the dormitory and into the common room. She wasn't surprised to see how busy it was. She crossed the floor gracefully and perched herself in a chair, close enough to the fireplace as to be warm, but not enough that she was blocking the boy who had already settled himself before it.
She tried to see his face, but the way they were both sitting made it nearly impossible. She couldn't tell who he was as of yet, but she was sure he wasn't a first year. Moira smiled to herself, thinking back on her own first year, seven years ago. She had been shy and just as forgetful, the shyness being the only thing that had changed.
Moira brushed the fiery hair back from her face and cursed herself yet again for failing to find the ribbon to tie it back. Turning back towards the stairwell she watched for Skyla, wondering what was taking her.

Nicodeamus stood, returning the chair to it's normal size, and smiled at Moira. Knowing the strawberry blonde was in his year, but that fact that he towered over her anyway was always funny to him. "Hey, Moira, did ya have a growth spurt yet?" he called, taunting her. He leaned against a wall, a smirk on his face. Stray strands of his black hair loomed over his forehead, and he was contiually trying to push them up. "I'll be glad to graduate this year. I'll miss this place, yeah, but ya know, family comes first," he said thoughtfully, but his smile stayed on his face.
{Augh! Short!}

Moira beamed up at Nicodeamus, up being the operative word. She was surprised she hadn't recognized him, even seated.
"Not yet. Not yet." She laughed. She wasn't necessarily short, 5' 3 seemed just fine to her. Her parents were both taller than her, but you can only go by the genes you are given, and she didn't know what those were. She frowned for a minute before returning her attention to Nicodeamus.
"I'm going to miss it too! This is practically family to me. But I know whatcha mean." Moira picked a stray piece of hair and twirled it absentmindedly.

Skyla descended from the stairs, her cat in her arms. After Moira had left, she had spent a few extra minutes searching for Aimie.
There were quite a few people in the Common Room, conversing with one another. Well, not everyone. Some were simply standing around or sitting. I guess not everyone's that social, Skyla thought as she glanced around for Moira. She found the girl chatting with a rather tall boy.
Skyla went to join them, skipping the last step of the staircase. "Hello," she said with a grin.

Moira turned as Skyla bounded over to where they were talking. She gave her a smile and said, "I was wondering where you went off to."
Still smiling she gestured to Skyla, "Nicodeamus, this is Skyla, Skyla, Nicodeamus." She had decided that the first year girl was going to be a lot of fun. Speaking of fun, I wonder who's going to be in my Charms class? Charms was her favorite class, but last year she had barely known any other Gryffindors in her class, although they shared a dormitory and common room.
