HeartPool opened her eyes lightly. She sighed and stood shaking herself. What was today for? Just another day to sort or collect herbs. A life with no meaning? She sighed. Maybe today she could convince a warrior to let her join them on a patrol. She wanted to go hunting or walk the border. She had been cooped up with nothing to do.
With larkSparrow training her apprentice. She wasn't cooped up in the den to wait for warriors to come in with thorns in their pads. She nodded. Alright... She decided she would go out. "Excellent."
She nodded and whisked out of the den. Maybe if she went near enough to the riverclan border she would see koisplash...maybe... just maybe... She purred at the thought. She nodded to herself. a few useful herbs grew there. She nodded again. She would gather herbs there... yes. She started toward the entrance. She would hunt while out.

Starpelt padded out of the medicine cats' den in time to see Heartpool walking towards the entrance, her collecting perhaps? Starpelt dashed after her and started walking halfway from her. I'm not an apprentice eagerly following a cat around. Let's try to act more mature now Starpelt.
Eventually Starpelt caught up with Heartpool, "Where are you going?" Starpelt asked evenly. If she was herb hunting I'll go with her. Starpelt thought to herself.

If she could have heartpool would have jumped from her skin. She turned and looked at the apprentice. "Oh starpelt..." she sighed. Her claws going nicely back into their sheaths. "Me? I'm just going to collect a few herbs." She smiled "I was getting a bit tired of staying in the den all day and wanted to get out. So here i am" She smiled. "What are you doing out and about? Isn't LarkSparrow training you something today?"
Her voice was soft but it took on an edge of hate. She couldn't figure out what she had done to make the white she-cat hate her so but instead of becoming a friend she seemed to become more and more hated. She shook her head."I'm sorry... That wasn't meant for you. Your welcome to come with me... "
She flicked her ears lightly. "I'm thinking about going by the riverclan border... i haven't looked for herbs there in a while." She stood. Just realizing she had sat. She smiled and started off toward he border.

Starpelt nodded and padded after Heartpool. "Larksparrow's been busy, so I thought what else to do then herb gathering." Starpelt questioned herself, Why the RiverClan border? Is something special there? Starpelt couldn't recall a herb that they currently needed by the RiverClan border. Eh, maybe we could do extra. Anxiety knawed at Starpelt until she had to ask, "Why the RiverClan border? We have a perfectly good store of the herbs that we find there."

Heartpool stiffend for a moment before continuing walking. "No reason...i just havent looked for herbs there...ive been to all the borders and inbetween im betting a bunch of the herbs will be ready to take back." She said all this. it made sense.
She wove around a few prickly plants. "Plus its a ways away so it will give me a chance to be out...as long as LarkSparrow is in camp...they dont need me there." She smiled to StarPelt.
She closed her eyes for a moment and his face came to mind. Why did she have to love him. She pushed him from her mind. or at least the best she could. She sighed. she couldnt tell StarPelt she would run irght back and tell LarkSparrow. She could be loyal to her clan although a cat from a different clan held her heart.

Starpelt narrowed her eyes but continued walking. There is a reason for all this but Heartpool just won't tell me. Starpelt quikened her pace and made it to the RiverClan border slightly before Heartpool did. As soon as she got there she spotted a mouse nibbling on a seed. Putting her paws down softly she pounced on top of the mouse and killed it.
"Stupid little critter didn't even know I was there." She murmured quietly as she buried the mouse.

HeartPool smiled. "I see your still very good at hunting." SHe looked around drawing the scents across her scent glands and fell into a hunters crouch. She stalked up on the bird she saw. She leaped and brought her paws down and growled a protest as she returned to the ground with a pawful of feathers. She sighed. She would eat later.
She turned around. "See if you can find watermint... or anything else that lookes useful." She smiled and started scenting again. She stopped and looked across the border for a moment before shaking herself and started looking again.

Starpelt murmured an sgreement, it was not long ago she trained as a warrior. Starpelt looked around for the mauve colored flowers. Soon, she spotted some of them right along the river. Delicately Starpelt picked a few and laid them down by Heartpool's paws.

HeartPool Smiled "Very nice thank you" She purred softly but her gaze wandered back over the border. He could be there... He shouldnt be there....but he could be.... HeartPool Sighed. They didnt need any herbs... so she had no reason to go over to river clan. She frowned and turned back. "Good lets take these and go se if we can find anything else." She grabbed a large leaf and put the flowers in it. There... now to find something... she frowned. Thankful for starpelt of her traitorous mind would have told her to cross that border... she sighed and picked up the bundle. "Lets go down this border a ways and then see about going down the windclan border then home." she mumbled around the bundle

Starpelt nodded and followed after Heartpool. Things weren't adding up, they had almost an excessive amount of the herbs by the RiverClan border. Hesitantly Starpelt asked, "There's something you're not telling me. What is it?" Her eyes shone knowingly as she awaited the answer.

HeartPool Jumped slightly. "Im not telling you something?" She smiled "Now how come you think that... I..I just needed to get out feel the life in the ground." She nodded and went lightly into a thatch of burdock.
She dug lightly. They really didnt need anymore but it gave her something to do. Hopefully Starpelt would cease the questions. She breathed slightly as she dug. Pulling out the root she smiled.
"Really...everything is fine." She twitched her tail and turned but couldnt help checking over the border.

Starpelt's eyes narrowed and she followed Heartpool's gaze over to the RiverClan border. I'll find out one way or another. Starpelt thought to herself. Slowly she seated herslef and and curled her tail around her paws as she watched Heartpool get some Burdock.

HeartPool smiled "Well got a bit of this... Anything else look good to take back." HEr stomach growled lightly and she smiled. "Im famished..."
With that she twitched her tail and set off to find prey. StarPwlt couldnt figure this one out. Maybe she would be satisfied with the answer of shes just been a bit out of it... Probabvly not.She stepped on a twig. The prey being stalked perked its ears and scurried into its hole.
SHe neded to think straight. She eyed a squirrel and smiled stalkinging up silently. They never got squirrels over this far...SHe launched missing by a claw. She gave chase. It crossed hte border. Damnation.
She sat stairing after it. She hoped it would be caught by a patrol just to prove it right. SHe turned glancing once over her dshoulder to the border. "Ill leave hunting to the warriors for now...Leets get back." She picked up the roots and left the leaf for starpelt to carry.
Her mind raced. She couldnt see him agan...she was a medicine catr...just proven was the fact that she couldnt be a warrior. She sighed. She looked thuroughly deppressed. Although her tail dragged and her ears back she still insisted she was fine...she was an idiot... But she couldnt resign... she didnt know anything else...

Starpelt looked at Heartpool again and picked up her leaf. As she followed behind Heartpool she spotted a vole a couple foxtails ahead of her. She dropped her bundle and pounced on the vole. A success. She thought to herself. "Want some?" She offered to Heartpool.

HeartPool Smiled. "Yes...thank you...it would mean we dont have to race back..." She smiled. "I wanted to look for some early Marigold... Although i don't think we will have much luck." She smiled. "Then i say we go find a batch of sun and wallow in it." Although it was wrong....she felt carefree. She bent down to take a few bites of the vole and smiled "Thank you ...again"
She smiled and twitched her ears. Wondering lightly to herself she ooked at the apprentice. She seemed nice enough..so far nothing like larksparrow... That was a possibility... she wouldn't go too far into that.
