 Duskkit slowly padded out of the nursery, today was the day she became an apprentice. She was so excited. Duskkit wondered who would be her mentor would be, hopefully Darkmist. She had grown to like her in her time in the nursery.
((We should do her apprentice ceremony then RP Darkmist and her. XDDD))

Duskpaw padded from the apprentice den. Last night had been her first time in there and she had slept in the nest that smelled most like Darkmist. As she spotted Darkmist's head popping out from the warriors' den Duskpaw bounded over there to her. "What are we doing today?"

 Darkmist was stretching, for a moment forgetting she had an apprentice. After a moment of staring into nothingness, she replied, "We're going to explore Clan territory, and maybe do some hunting. Stupid Clans just can't stay off of our territory these days..." she trailed off.

Duskpaw nodded, an understanding look in her eyes. Slowly she walked behind her mentor as they walked out of camp. This will be my second time out of camp. Duskpaw thought grimly to herself remembering what had happened earlier.

Darkmist, however, wasn't thinking of the last time Duskpaw had left camp, but in a way she did; Bleedheart always got the cold shoulder from her. When they were out of camp, she started towards the Thunderpath, a good place to show the dangers of Twolegs, and it also would help with showing the border between them and ThunderClan.

Duskpaw trailed after Darkmist, fear and horror reflecting off her eyes as she tried to avoid stepping in the swampiest places. "Where are we going?" Duskpaw asked trying to distract her terror.

"Thunderpath, and look at the ThunderClan border, then we'll go around the rest of the territory, view carrionplace from afar, then hunt some tasty mice. How's that sound?" She stopped, watching the smaller cat avoid the mud. This made her feel slightly guilty for taking the she-cat out, but all cats had to conquer their fears sometime.

"Great!" Duskpaw mewed, as fast as she could, Duskpaw ran across the swamp to where Darkmist was.

The ground became flatter and more solid as the Thundrpath's stench made Darkmist wrinkle her nose. "This is the Thunderpath." she said, stopping only a paw-step away from it. The black cat looked from side to side, seeing only its gray body, and no monsters. "Many a cat- and prey- has died on this...thing. Monsters travel on it, and they don't care about who or what they kill. Granted, there's always a chance it'll dodge, and the creature will live, but it isn't often. On the other side," she pointed with her nose, "is ThunderClan territory. It's not too hard to get through, and they don't tend to care about who crosses the border, both ways. The kittypet blood has screwed them up pretty well. We could raid their camp, and they'd just run to Twolegplace to their kin." By now, she was joking, and mocking the Clan at the same time.

Duskpaw nodded quivering. But before she could say anything about ThunderClan a monster roared by and Duskpaw nearly jumped out of her skin. That thing stank and it was so loud! "That was creepy." She managed to stammer out. Her eyes glimmered as she spotted something relatively intresting. Cautiosly she padded up by the Thunderpath and peered down a hole. "Come here for a second Darkmist." The hole seemed to be going the direction of ThunderClan territory.

Darkmist had taken a step back when the shiny, yet despicable creature passed. "What is it, Duskpaw?" She padded over, wary of any other monsters; she wanted to keep Duskpaw safe. StarClan knows what would happen if Duskpaw were to be injured.

Duskpaw waited for her mentor and pointed her tail down the hole. "I think it leads to ThunderClan territory." This would benfit ShadowClan a lot she thought to herself. "This could help us get to the gathering and it will help our attack on ThunderClan." The last part of her sentence was a small joke to what Darkmist had been saying.

Darkmist only stared at the darkness for a moment, before nodding. "I'll tell Moonstar when we get back." Her voice wasn't thrilled, but not upset either; like her mother, Darky didn't really want to fight another Clan unless needed. She let Duskpaw lead back to the brown earthen side of the Thunderpath. "Ready to see Carrionplace?"

Duskpaw sensed the non-excitement in Darkmist's voice and murmured, "I didn't mean it." To the Carrionplace now. "Yeah." She mewed excitedly as they prepared to head there next.
