Silvertail watched her kits as they played around in the small den. They were getting so big, she thought to herself. Palekit would be ready to be apprenticed soon while Honeykit would still need time Silvertail was excited for her adopted kits but she would miss sleeping with them too...

 Nightcloud padded into the clearing quietly. Her paws unintentionally led her straight towards the fresh-kill pile. She deposited the juicy vole and plump mouse she had caught. Well, as plump and juicy as you could get at this time.
As she dropped the fresh-kill her ears flicked toward the source of some noise. Not noise, scuffling, really. She turned her head to see the source of the scuffling. It was the nursery. She smiled, her eyes full of longing. She had never been a queen, but sometimes she was jealous of them. Sitting in the nursery all day, caring for beautiful kits. She shook herself, to bring her mind back to the present. Her smile did not fade as she left the pile of juicy fresh-kill and padded her way toward the nursery.
Nightcloud arrived at the nursery in no time at all. She stuck her head into the den to see who was inside. It was Silvertail, an exceptionally beautiful queen and her kits Palekit and Honeykit. She swished her tail back and forth, watching the two kits play together, then stepped forward and into the den.
"Hello, Silvertail," she spoke, still looking at the two gorgeous kits. "Oh, they are so big! Palekit looks big enough to be apprenticed, soon," she said, not even waiting for a greeting from the silver queen. "You must be so proud!" Nightcloud exclaimed, now looking at Silvertail. Her smile was wavering as she thought of one thing: her unfaithful mate, Crowfeather. It seemed like she would never have kits with someone like him. But, he was so... Nightcloud couldn't quite explain her attraction to the warrior, the same warrior who was also seeing a RiverClan she-cat. As she brushed the thought away, she turned her attention back to Silvertail and awaited any sort of response.
