hi everyone! so i was thinking about what other instruments people play besides there main instrument. So here's a thread about it! I'll start: my main is the alto sax, and an alternative is the tenor and soprano i play ( never tryed bari ) but those are all kind of the same, but other instruments i can play are the clarinet and flute. and blew a note in the trumpet once. i don't own any of them, but by the end of this year i hope to get a flute clarinet and piccolo. Now it's everybody else's turn!

I dunno, Kyuu... BUT WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO STOP PLAYING EUPH? Euphonium rawks. I play it as well as Violin, and I took Oboe in summer music camp.

Fingerings for scales will be the exact same pretty much, but the notes will be different, but sound the same. Good luck on switching, but like the person before me said, Euphonium is an awesome instrument and I honestly wouldn't want to switch.

I play Trombone, Flute, and Bass Guitar. Did it all in one year...It was a real hassle. My first choice was flute, but my parents put me on Trombone. Then I had to play Bass for jazz band. So now I can play all three (I got a flute for christmas last year).

Trumpets rock!! Try it out for a bit... I've blown through a Euphonium before, and the mouthpiece is bigger and feels all wierd... I play mainly trumpet, but I also play bass guitar, a bit of guitar, bit o' keyboard

Let's see... I'm a bassoonist, so I play just about everything. I march baritone, but can also play trumpet, a little bit of clarinet, guitar, and piano. And I sing, if that counts.

My main instrument is the flute, but I picked up piccolo as well a few years ago and now I'm first picc of my school. Then I went crazy and picked up trumpet so I could be in Jazz Band. XD It's WEIRD after the flute. But I like it.
So I play piccolo, flute, and trumpet. And I'm attempting to slowly teach myself guitar.

I play the flute primarily... but my sister couldn't be in band this year so I've been playing her saxophone.... it's a lot harder on the lips than I'm used to.... I want to play the Alto Flute but I'm not sure where I would get the music for band class... I don't think the BD has the parts.... do you guys know what could be transcended to be played alto?

I play clarinet but I can play a Saxophone great as well, for someone who doesn't know the note names or much about it. However, with trial and a few errors I can play a few simpler scales on the Sax and even play harmony to chorals. I sound like I know what I'm doing but I don't know all of what I'm doing; that is if any of this begins to make sense...

My main instrument is alto sax (marching and concert), however, I also know how to play the clarinet (concert season), flute (pit orchestra), mallet percussion (winter percussion), and some other foreign flute things that my teacher is teaching me for senior project xd
