While I could have discussed this within one of the TWO threads dedicated to the Donation Item of this month, I felt it merited its own thread for various reasons.
I present to you, the agents, that these items, which are largely well accepted for a change, were brought about... because of a sponsor.
As in, directly inspired by, not paid for by.
Now, the reason I state this is actually fairly well thought out. In February, we had a quest dedicated to the game Lost Odyssey. At least I think it was February, but nevermind.
An observation regarding the armor aquired by doing the quest leads me to speculate about its similarity with the Yoroi that we received this month. However, this is not in fact the main influence.
You see, the commercial that they played featured the song "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Starship, which if you will listen to it, you shall see there are some thematic elements relating to... Alice in Wonderland.
So, I present you that the designers were inspired by the commercial and that a Sponsor has indirectly influenced the gaian population.
Your thoughts?

Its a tad bit scary to think that our lovely developers were influenced to create these wonderful items by the sponsors, but true I suppose. (I do enjoy White Rabbit)

(I do enjoy White Rabbit) Well there are certainly worse things to be influenced by, and look on the bright side, at least we KNOW where the inspiration from this one comes from. Some of those items are kinda out there, I'd hate to know where the inspiration for them came from. You know what I cannot believe? We STILL do not have a pair of Demonic Bracelets modeled in opposite to the Angelic Bracelets.

I mean, seriously, what kind of sadistic b*****d decides "Oh hey, the word for 'fear of long words' should be hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia. LAWL." I can just imagine some poor soul walking into a psychiatrist's office and saying something like "So doc, I've got this problem... I have... I have... hippopo... poto...tom... m... *shrieks and breaks down sobbing*" rofl ...Is it bad that I find that funny? @_@;;

If you don't know, it's the fear of palendromes (words spelt the same forward and backwards). ...and back on topic, that's quite a hypothesis. You could be right. o.o
