Kallisto was excited and full of energy. It had been a long time since she'd spoken to Grave and with how busy she'd been studying alchemy she'd only really been able to send a note to the Library where he worked. As it was a positive reply had made her day and they were set for another duel - only this time around, they were stage Ones and had so much more at their disposal.
For her part, Kallisto had been busy. She was equipped with a handful of potions, and an arsenal of martial arts moves. Kallisto hummed as she leaned against the entrance to the Arena waiting for her fellow duellist. She had some spells too but wasn't sure if she'd use those as well... Ah well, she'd have to see how things went.
Rolling her shoulders, the blades that had grown from them scraped against the wall with a metal on metal sound and made her wince. She kept forgetting she had them... Laughing, the kinesthetic rubbed her muscles there and turned to look out over the Arena.
It wouldn't be long now until the time they'd agreed to meet.

Grave stepped into the Arena, freshly showered and looking everybit the prince charming. He was decked out in some simple, functional duelling clothes, vaguely reminiscent of a musketeer. On his hip, sure enough was his sword, safe enough to wear here in the Arena, and he wore a pair of slim leather gloves so perfectly fitted they nearly looked painted onto his slender hands. He waved one of these delicately gloved hands at Kallisto as he strode towards her in his graceful long-legged gate.
"Hello Kallisto! How have you been?" Grave asked with a smile as he drew near.
"I've been looking forward to this, I must say. I've brought all my fancy toys, but this'll be the first chance I've had to use them in the heat of battle."

Kallisto looked up as movement caught her eye and she grinned broadly, returning the wave. "I've been horribly busy but otherwise rather happy." Uncrossing her arms, she smoothed down her shirt and pants before striding over to meet him. Where his gate was graceful hers was very much that of a kinesthetic, solid and powerful - graceful in an entirely different way.
"I'm glad to see you again!~" She blinked as they came up even and she found herself a little taller then chuckled and offered a hug to her long-time friend. "I brought my toys too, Grave. I hope I don't mess up using them." In good humour, the kinesthetic sort of posed for a moment.
"So, what do you think?" She was rather proud of how she'd grown, her only complaint being the shoulder blades but it was a minor one.

"Hrm...." Grave murmured appreciatively, making a slow and purposeful round about Kallisto, stroking thoughtfully at his bottom lip with one gloved thumb. "I approve, quite thouroughly." Grave stopped again in front of her and raised noe eyebrow, a playful and dashing grin in place. "Kallisto, m'darling, you grew up gorgeously, as I fullwell expected." Then he added a wink on for good measure and strood a few paces from her, looking about and gauging distance.
"Alright then. I'm ready to begin anytime you are. Are there any limitations or rules you like to put on the match, before we begin?"
Grave asked, wishing everything to be clear from the outset.

Kallisto grinned and bowed slightly, accepting the compliment happily. "Conditions? I don't think so. I'd rather see what all we can do, wouldn't you? No hampering." Nodding, she walked past Grave and into the Arena proper. "It'd be something if the stands were full, wouldn't it? To host a duel like that time when Professors Dameron and Elias fought."
As she spoke, she broke into a light jog and found a place near the center where she turned to face Grave. "Let's begin on three then." Raising her fists into her signature fighting stance, Kallisto smiled. "One... Two... Three!"
With that, she set her mind on the task at hand - duelling with Grave. She wanted to win... and to see what she was capable of.

Grave let her pass him and took a light stance a good 6 feet away from her. How would they fight this time? She'd gotten so much stronger than him, so he knew that there was no way he could compete in a contest of brawn. As his quick mind set to work planning his course he kept his senses open, waiting to see what her first move would be. He put his right hand onto his swordhilt and carfully folded the other into a Prithiri Mudra.
It begins...

Kallisto knew Grave would be fast... therefore the answer lay in pinning him somehow. Well, to start she drew the symbol of mercury in the air before her, calling upon the speed aspect as she started forward. Might as well get this started, right?
Breaking into a run, she appeared to be going straight at Grave. Then, at the last moment, she feinted to the left and struck out with a fist, aiming the blow at his shoulder.

Grave was watching as Kallisto drew the symbol - Mercury, he recognized it - that meant he'd need to be faster than her to get away from whatever attack was imminent. A split-second to decide, and Grave made his decision. He made a distinct tapping motion towards the insides of his boots and with a whir his boots were encased in metal plating and humming lights - his turbo boots.
As Kallisto suddenly feinted, he jumped away, hoping to evade whatever attack she threw his way. holding his hand in Bhudy as he rose into the air he focussed. The timing on this would need to be perfect, or it could be disastrous. He readied himself to kick out at the height of his jump.

Kallisto frowned as her punch missed the melancholy and he sprang into the air. Seeing his kick long before it arrived, she dropped her head a bit as the ineffectual attack sailed over her head. Now it was her turn. With a grin, she kicked off from the ground, spinning over backwards as she attempted to boot him while he was still in the air.
Hands went out as she tumbled backwards after kicking, hair streaming out behind her... and activated her own hoverboots as she settled once more a few feet away.

Grave frowned slightly as his kick missed and grew alarmed as he saw Kallisto flip up into a kick towards him. With no ground to brace himself, the best he could do was to try to block as he began falling back to the Arena floor. He quickly charged his hands into a Prayer Mudra and tapped a technoring on his left leg to release his Tome. His book flew open to the right page - a sign of the Grimoire Magician, and Grave ripped out two sheets of parchment and cast his spells. First the silvery blue glow of Moon lit up his additions as he tapped into his lightdash to dodge and then he charged up his second spell, summoning strength to strike down with a punch.

As he glowed... and did nothing, Kallist wasn't sure if it was a delayed effect or not and focused on his attack, intent on not letting it get through. When he was close enough, she dodged around him and reached out into order to turn his forward momentum into a throw.
Heaving up and then skittering back, she decided to try a spell of her own. She couldn't have him using that magic - she was weak against such things. Scribing a circle, she drew out the lines for chromatic quinary in a quick movement and hoped the the spell took effect.

She dodged him and then to his horror twisted her weight around and threw him! Grave went flying, turning over in the air and catching sight of the ground. He started pumping his legs as he hit the ground running, absorping the shock of the fall and wheeled back towards her with all his academic speed and turbo boots pushing him forward. As he ran he curled his hand into a Mushti Mudra and threw out another Strength Card, folding his now-empty hand into a Pran to prepare his other fist forward into a punch directed straight at her body.

Kallisto leaped out of the way of the punch and tapped two of her technorings, summoning a vial of sunspots and a vial of demon's dance into her hands. With a smile, she tossed the sunspots at Grave's feet and closed her eyes as the bright flash burst forward so that she wasn't stunned as well and then opened the vial of demon's dance, letting it's effect coil about her.
In the few moments while the flash faded, she ran forward, leading with a punch and then another. "Come on Grave! You can do it!" It was an attempt at encouraging her friend.

Grave caught sight of the vials materializing and cursed aloud. He was done for.
He need to be calm about this. He folded his hand into Bhudy as Kallisto threw the first vial and as he saw it smash remembered cooking class with startling clarity and brought his arms up over his face to block out the blinding light.
No time to lose, she was closing in, and he had only one hope. He pressed his hands into his strongest mudras - Mushti and Prayer and then threw out a Moon card, regaining the previously failed silvery-blue glow.
