OOC information Contacting me You may PM me messages Contact me via the changed forum And either email me or talk to me via my msn which is deobaka@hotmail.com And yes, I accept random friend requests. The idea behind the characterDeon Selco is more or less an RP alias that I use for many of my human male characters. This particular version of Deon is related to others, invovling him with law enforcement. Yet, hes a a man with a hard exterior, his life has not been an easy or kind one to him. In fact he is a man, nearly seeking death becase his reasons to live only include helping others.

Part 1: The Basics This set of questions involve simple background as well as the Deon's appearance. It also includes a few personal habits and traits. 1. What is your full name?My name is Deon Aimone Selco. 2. Where and when were you born?I was born in the windy city, some thirty eight years ago. Grew up in a small apartment in the middle of the city. Hell, I still live in one. 3. Who are/were your parents? My father's name was Eugine, and...well by the time they had me had given up hope in living. He wasen't ever there, mostly sitting back and drinking, thinking on better times when he meant a different. He wasen't stern...or caring...he just wasen't there. Sometimes the man he would...would talk about how I needed to make his life meaningful...as if what he had done didn't matter. He was a police officer, helped save lives yet...in the end...he realized he had made a few mistakes and killed some people who didn't deserve it, some kid with a squirt gun. The man gave up when I was twelve, handed in the gun and the badge, and picked up a bag. Worked at the local grocery store till his death. At least he instilled a true sense of right and wrong when I was little. Mom on the other hand was there. Selene, almost an angle when I think about it now. Like my father she saved lives's, yet she dressed in scrubs, not in Kevlar. She was a paramedic in the ambulance, doing her best to save the worst victims of the cruel city. Its funny really...one would think that she would have been used up trying to help save all those people. Yet...she always found time for me, made me feel like I meant something. Spoke softly and with kind words, and when I did something wrong, she made me think. Think of how, think of why...and I learned. Learned better then any other kid who got some toy taken away. I loved her, more then dad...and when she passed it hurt much more. 4. Do you have any siblings?Sadly, I don't. Hell, I'm practically statistically imposable...dad was sterile...then again...I don't look too much like dad. It didn't matter though...I think he was happy to have a son before the breakdown. 5. Where do you live now, and with whom?I live in some crummy little apartment, low rent...low temperatures int he winter, blistering heat in the summer. And rats all ******** year round. The walls are cracked, the floors uneven, and the lighting dull. And I'm alone really, everyone in my building keeps to themselves...and dosen't want company. I really need to move out and meet some people one of these days. 6. What is your occupation?Im a beat cop. Like my father really...I walk sometimes, I drive other times...and I look for trouble before I put a stop to it. It...its a hard job, one that makes me come home and collapse most of the time. Yet...I cant see myself doing anything else, I have to help people...I guess its a scar left by both my parents, one most people don't have. Its one I enjoy though, one that makes me, me. But...every so often...hell, most of the time, I see things I regret. Kids with real guns. Doctors selling drugs. Corruption everywhere...and people dying because of it. Im one man...and I can only do so much. I do what I do...even if I have blood on my hands and demons in my dreams. 7. What do you look like?Me? Hell I don't know...I guess you can say I'm average. You know, a little under six feet, brown eyes, white skin, you know, the basics. I'm slim, and muscular, but I have to be if I get into a physical fight or a foot chase on the job. I guess I weigh I dunno...maybe somewhere from one eighty to one ninety. I'm not fat, and I eat healthy...well healthy enough considering my salary...and I my job helps keep me in shape too. I tend to keep my hair well kept, not going past my ears or my brow. Why? Well I'm in uniform and my hair has to be neat. Its black loose, and flowing, and if I let it grew out just a little bit more I could head bang with the rest of them. Off duty I tend to dress simply, and as comfortably as possible. Generally in plain solid color T shirts with a black leather jacket over top. After all, that will never go out of style. Pants wise, generally there loose worn in, naturally faded jeans. Of course I wear a belt, after all I need one on duty, but the shirt and jacket go over it, so its appearance dosen't matter dose it? As far as shoes go, just old, simple tennis shoes...closet I can get to barefoot after all. On, and off duty I always keep a dark, obsidian pair of square sunglasses, just big enough to cover my eyes when pressed up against my face. Why? The eyes can betray, and on the job you cant let emotions be a weakness. Off the job, I can slide em down and appear to be abit more laid back, or up if its sunny. I don't wear any hats, necklaces or jewelry, save for a simple ring I wear...its..well its special. And I don't have to deal with the folks who think I'm open for a relationship after all. Piercings are also a no no...I dress simply...and trinkets like that bother me. 8. To which social class do you belong?I guess you could say lower middle class. I'm just above the food stamp line. 9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? Not really, living in the smog of Chicago has made me immune to allot of chemicals it seems. Yet...I have no idea how to survive in the wilderness if it came to it, so there may be some sort of plant I dont like out there. And...well...Ive been shoot a few times. And stabbed...and hurt...cracked a few ribs, broken a few bones...but, I recovered well enough. Of course my chest has quite a few scares from injuries, hell I look Like I went through Nam under this shirt. No pain...just irritation every so often from it. 10. Are you right- or left-handed?Right handed, like most people. 11. What does your voice sound like?My voice? Gods, I guess you can say its abit gruff...abit deep...and travels slightlly. I cant do to many high pitches well, and my scream sounds like some sort of animal wail. But, Im a man, and thats how it happens. 12. What words and/or phrases do you use very ********, s**t, hell, freeze, s**t head, a** hat, drop it, ill shoot, ******** me, ******** you, go to hell, get bent, Stop being an idiot and surrender, get down...I can continue...you know, being a cop...and one who gets shot, its the generic stuff.
13. What do you have in your pockets?
Cigarettes, a nine millimeter berreta as well as two clips for it, a wallet containing my ID, a credit card, a few dollars, some coupons and a rubber band, pain killers (of various brands in case i'm shot) and of course my badge.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
Im a smoker...some may call that an annoying or bad habit. And I tend to roll my cigs through my fingers before lighting up. Some say I swear like a sailor too...but screw them. When confused I tend to tilt my head. And when angry I glare over my sunglasses...and I can raise a brow when somethings confused. Also, some people say I sing to myself...I don't realize it but why would allot of people lie?

Part 2: Growing Up This section involves just that, Deon growing up and what made him who he is today. 15. How would you describe your childhood in general?Id describe it as...enlightening. I mean with my father and mother's lesions earily in life shaping me really effected me. Then, seeing dad fall from grace, I leaned some things there too. I wasen't too good in school, not that it mattered in the long run. Often, Id get into fights with people who picked on others, trying to help. Hell, I was in the office more then they were most of the time because they were so many, and I wanted to take on the world. Heh...I still do. I had allot of friends though, even if I got my a** kicked allot. Of course, many were friends because of me trying to help...and really...I never got invited to parties or anything, but It was bearable. 16. What is your earliest memory?I remember...hmm...gods my memory is horrible...But, I remember my first bus ride to school. Heh...it wasen't too good, all the bigger kids picking on all of us little ones. Of course, being the idiot that I was, I tried to stick up for us...and well I leaned what a purple nurple was that day...and what a wedgie was, and a swirly. You know, I leaned allot in school. 17. How much schooling have you had?High school diploma, and the police academy...no its not like the movies...trust me though, its allot funnier. You have no idea what sorts of initial rituals exist. 18. Did you enjoy school? Not really...too many people trying to put others down, and too many pointless tests on stuff none of us would need. I was glad to graduate and move on...even if I coulden't help the younger kids out with the stupid seniors anymore. 19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? From my parents, and from the police academy. 20. While growing up, did you have any role models?Yeah, my father until he gave up on life. And when he did, there was always his partner, Roy. b*****d even showed up after dad quit. Heh...man even took me out on beats when I hit sixteen to get a feel of things, he saw that I was a cop at heart I think. And although he was laid back, often laughing...he still taught me allot of things, like how to notice if someone has a concealed weapon for instance...or how to role cigarettes over the fingers. I picked up smoking from him too. Mom wasen't at all happy. 21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?I got along well enough with everyone, that is until dad kinda slipped away. Then involvement stopped completely between the two of us. Mom and I got along well enough, and there was no real fighting in the house until she learned I was smoking. And even that didn't last to long. All in all, we got along fairly well. 22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?A police officer, of course. Or maybe a superhero. 23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?Cops in robbers was fun when I was little, yeah one track mind I know. And although I got beat up, I still liked helping out those in need, I even remember a time when I wanted to be a superhero...thinking I could save everyone. Also I enjoyed just walking, exploring the massive city that I call home, that was always fun. 24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?A protective nature I would say was the one most everyone remembers me by. I guess you could say that I was enthusiastic in whatever I did, so long as it was interesting too. And I was headstrong, hell still am too. 25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?I guess you could say that everyone knew me. But popular...nah not really. I didn't have the looks quite down, nor did I have the right kind of friends. You see, being someone who took on the bullies, I had allot of geeky, and odd friends, the ones people picked on. They were fun though, interesting and well...I still can role a few D20s in my spare time. Only reason why math could matter at all in my book. 26. When and with whom was your first kiss?Sophomore year, there was this girl named Haily, Haily Smith. A tomboy who hung out with the geeks like me, though really wasen't one. She wasen't bad looking, red hair, fair skin, nice body, and the greenest eyes Id ever seen. And she spoke her mind, doing whatever she thought was right. And well, she asked me out to some dance, simply to go and make sure no one got out of line...woman knew how to push my buttons. Well...we kissed...and things continued. 27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? The year after that dance, With Haily. It was one night, and we had both discovered alchole...and it was 'what the hell moment'. Her parents were out, I came over to help with a project we were both working on, and we got into their liqueur. We knew what we were doing though, it wasen't a drunken haze, just a slight buzz...and well...we did ti again the next day, and our relationship just got stronger. I loved that woman...I just hate how life can take things away. 28. If you are a supernatural being? If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today. My parents helped make me who I am today, without them...I woulden't be a cop, thats for sure.

Part 3: Past Influences More of what makes Deon who he is today. 29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?The first time I got shot, because after that happened, I realized...that I could quit now, and continue to watch out for my safety, or continue...and throw my life to the fates as I try to save others. I continued, and Ive had twenty one bullets hit me so far. Every one painful, every one worth the pain. 30. Who has had the most influence on you?Thats a tough one...and well...again, Id say my parents. They made me who I am today, there is no doubt about that. 31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?Graduating in the top five percent of my class in the academy. I was number seven out of all the recruits...and I'm still alive, guess I am lucky. 32. What is your greatest regret?Being engaged to a woman I loved who didn't want me to risk my life every day. It just coulden't work with Haily, no matter how much I loved her. 33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?...Ive killed. And even in saving lives, its still something evil. I regret every person Ive put in the ground, even if it was needed. 34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? No, I just write others. 35. When was the time you were the most frightened?I younger...maybe twelve or thirteen...and the day before I managed to beat up this one bully, put him in his place. It was my first real victory, and it was one sided...really one sided. The next day, it was Saturday...and I was enjoying my weekend in a local park. The kid, he followed me there, and when no one was around approached me. He was leading, or rather, restraining a pet pit bull of his... The thing was released after a few words between us...and it growled...it snapped at the air...and it wanted to kill me. I ran...faster then I ever had before. I don't know how many blocks I sprinted, the dog long gone... I...I have always been afraid of the animals ever since. 36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?The dog incident, for the rest of the year people always played pranks on me involving it, bringing in their own dogs to scare me, barking at me...everything...I broke down one day at school during show and tell. That bully brought his dog in, which jummped at me in class... I cried so much mom had to take me in and bring me home. 37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?Going to the dance with Haily... 38. What is your best memory?Kissing Haily for the first time. 39. What is your worst memory?Breaking up with her three months after I proposed because I coulden't give up the badge. I promised her that in another life Id be with her...one where there wouldn't be any violence and I wouldn't need to keep everyone safe...dammit...I'm an idiot, I wonder...where would I be now if I put the badge down and ran away with that woman... Gods I hope shes okay. But it worked out I guess...I destroyed our life together to save others.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions A step inside Deon's mind 40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? It depends...generally though, being pessimistic will save lives. So I suppose I'm a pessimist...I treat every dangerous situation with the respect it deserves, planning for the worst. Thats what a cop has to do. 41. What is your greatest fear?Dogs...dogs are up there...and I suppose killing some innocent civilian in the crossfire one day. I...I wouldn't be able to live with myself I guess...heh...Id follow in my fathers footsteps once again. 42. What are your religious views?I guess you can say I'm agnostic. I'm open for the suggestion of miracles...and I suppose I believe in something greater...but right now I'm not a big fan f uniformed religion. Why should people kill over beliefs about gods? It turns me off of the whole thing, holy wars...hell for unbelievers...all that stuff. If only they were just about teaching folks how to be good people. 43. What are your political views?Order is needed because people cant govern themselves, but I think the powers that be need to focus more on helping the little guy. And focus more on the future then worrying about wars and how much money we can waste on fourign policy's, or gain from megacopertions. People need law and order to live, but it shouldn't kill them. 44. What are your views on sex?Its great! *laughs* But really, love can be anything, between however many people with whatever sex. Then again, love and sex are two different things. I...well Ive only been with one woman, who I loved...so sex is love for me. And as far as me likening other men...well...I dunno, Ive never really explored that. But it dosen't matter, I think my soul mate is long gone anyway. 45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?Yes, Im able to kill...and I'm only able to kill to save lives. In any other instance I wont be able to. And...I don't think Ill be able to kill just to save my own either. Heh...Haily was right, I really don't value my life. 46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?Kill another, even if thats something I do. Taking life, to get ahead, or simply because your able to is horrible, and thats what I fight to stop. I kill to stop the killers, even If I become a monster myself. 47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?Yes, and I believe mine is gone. 48. What do you believe makes a successful life?Tough question...and...and I don't know. I guess people just need to do whatever they think is right, thats all we can do, isn't it? 49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings?I try to act stronger then others I suppose, to protect them and keep them safe. And I try...at least now not to make any friends, for when I go it wont be too bad for others...hell I don't even know who I really am anymore. 50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? No, I don't think so. Were all people, arnt we? I just hate those who use others to get ahead. 51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?Cold blooded murder...stealing...rape...things of that nature. I think it should be obvious why, its wrong. 52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?Id die for a complete stranger on the street if they needed my aid. Id do anything for anyone, so long as they didn't want to hurt others. Pure and simple.

Part 5: Relationships With Others How dose Deon play with others? 53. In general, how do you treat others? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?I try to keep my distance from people emotionally. I know I have to work with them, so I will try to be considerate as well as friendly. Yet...other then that I wont try to start any sort of friendly relationship because when I die...I don't want people to morn or be upset. Its something thats going to happen...and if I die friendless and alone then so be it. Yet, I still do have a few friends around, back from high school...we get together once every other week and still role dice, and even do a small bit of gaming. Other then that though, I have no friends. 54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?No one is really important in my life anymore...or rather, everyone is. Im willing to die for everyone...so that makes them important, dosen't it? Not only that...the person I cared about...well shes gone, so whats the point, right? 55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?Alive? No one really, dead? Family mostly...Mom...Dad...Roy too...hell he was family. And I suppose Haily still...woman stood by what she believed in...and cared so much about my safety...heh...but thats long and dead now, along with those I respect. 56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.Yeah, my geek buddies, who basiclly live with another. They all own lofts in this building a few blocks up, and are close to buying the damn thing. Hell, they all work together too, doing that video game thing...hell make more money then I do thats for sure. We go out to bars sometimes, hang out, do DND and just act like its the good old days again. 57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. No not anymore. Haily...well, I already told you about her didn't I? Shes gone...well left me...wonderful woman...everything I would have ever wanted or needed in a female. 58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.Yes, beautiful, wonderful love...I gave her a ring...it was all going to work out. Then...she came to me crying, saying that I was going to die, and leave her all alone. Told me I needed to put down the badge...then leave with her, go start a family someplace. She cared so much about my safety, she was willing to end our relationship so I would stop getting shot at... And...I said no. She wouldn't take that for an answer. There was yelling...crying...and then the ring was thrown... I never found it after words. 59. What do you look for in a potential lover?I dont, not anymore. 60. How close are you to your family?Very, I lay flowers on their graves the first Sunday of every month. Besides my mother and father, Ive never meant another relative from my bloodline. 61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?No, I was close to, but it ended before it began. 62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?Perhaps my fellow officers, though chances were If I needed help...well...it would be so bad Id be gone. 63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?No...I don't really, because I try to protect everyone else. I'm ready to die, hell nearly willing to. When I go, Ill accept it, and whatever my fate in the next life is. 64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?...I don't know. 65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?Killers, drug dealers, gang leaders...people who destroy life. People who end life. People who twist life. I loath that sort of person. 66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?I tend to not argue with people, and instead just do things the way that it needs to be done, doing my best to keep as many people as possible safe. 67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? If needed yes...even if someone else has decided to appoint themselves leader. If they are not up to the task, then I will make sure someone is. 68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?No...there are allot of people who can get hurt. 69. Do you care what others think of you?I don't really, It dosen't matter at all, Ill do what needs to be done, world be damned.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes Dose the man even like anything anymore? 70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?Walking and getting to know the city ranks highly. And DND...yeah I know, it dosent fit me, but its a nice escape. 71. What is your most treasured possession?...Its gone, lost, and tossed away, I wish I would have found that ring. 72. What is your favorite color? The bluish black of the night sky that you can see on the edge of the city. 73. What is your favorite food?Chicken Alfredo. 74. What, if anything, do you like to read?...I'm not big on reading...but if anything, it would have to be comedies. You know, I read a book once, British...it was called Good Omens. It was a comedy on the end of the world, just a brilliant book about good, about evil, everything. Loved it. 75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?Music helps allot, nice happy tunes that just take you away. Of course then theres D&D, thats my real hobby I suppose...though for some reason my buddies wont let me get into something called warhammer? Something about me having even less money? Not sure what they mean by that... 76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?I do smoke, and no I don't plan on quitting any time soon. Besides a bullet will kill me before the cigs. And I drink, at times, but I never get too drunk, and Im not an alcoholic. 77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?Sleeping, or playing DND I work every other weekend for overtime to help with rent. 78. What makes you laugh?Allot of things really, though it takes abit to get me going unless Im with my friends...and we watch allot of British comedies, and B movies. I love just random crazy human with the occasional intelligent joke thrown in, and even some stupid crap too. Family guy, as well as south park are pretty good...though the crap jokes just don't do it for me. 79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?Blood never is easy to see...and vulgure acts of violence or rape, or predigest bother me...deeply. 80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?I think Id go for a walk and just try to tune everything out till I could sleep. I can sleep easily, I just have bad nightmares. 81. How do you deal with stress?Cigarettes generally...yeah...I know, bad habit, but I don't care. 82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?I spontaneously come up with plans...if that makes sense. You know, a situation needs order and I just arrived on scene, we need a plan, but generally there more like guidelines on what to do. And I always have a few. 83. What are your pet peeves?I don't have too many, though I hate when people bully or pick on each other, that makes me clench my fists. Old habits die hard I guess.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.
How Deon feels about himself 84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?I wake up around five, take a shower, get dressed and walk to work. I do any paperwork that needs to be done, grab a water or some drink from a vending machine on my way out, and start on my beat. Ill stick to business and hope nothing comes up, and around one Ill take a break, get something to eat, then continue my beat until four, where Ill return to the station, file any paperwork. Ill go home, returning around five thirty and have dinner before watching abit of TV and finally going to bed. And thats a dull day. And when its disrupted...well generally Ill feel alive. After all I get to help people and laugh in the face of death. 85. What is your greatest strength as a person?I suppose its my strength to protect others, and my luck. I'm not dead yet after all. 86. What is your greatest weakness?I can throw my life to easily away. 87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?I wish I didn't care so much about others, and could care about myself...I could still be with her... 88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?Introverted...I don't need people to care about me, obviouslly. 89. Are you generally organized or messy?Messy...very very messy. My office has paperwork everywhere. My home is no better, crap just thrown about in random places. Yet...I can be organized when a situation comes up. 90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.I'm great at Protecting people, surviving, and dice rolls. I'm horrible at love, caring about myself, and dealing with dogs. 91. Do you like yourself?No...not really... 92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? I just want to keep people safe...most cant protect themselves. And I don't care about my life...sure I don't tell people the second part, but...I don't. So, I can go out and do things to keep folks safe without worrying about bodily harm. 93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?I dont have a major goal...I guss it would be helping as many people as possible 94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In the police force, In the hospital, or in the grave. 95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?Saving someone's life. 96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left....Id throw my badge away and try to find Haily...just to talk to her one last time and say sorry. 97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?I don't care if Im remembered or not, but Id like to be thought of as some sort of civil hero perhaps, so someone can be inspired to help others. 98. What three words best describe your personality?A protective, headstrong, martyr. 99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?Insane, stoic, vigilante. 100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? Me- "Look...you need to care more about yourself, and less about others. You've done great, I know, but you cant keep going like this. You need to find love again, that will make your life worth living, instead of going out every day hoping to die. "

The Pukka It was a rather lonely evening as Deon sat in a rather dark corner of some small dive, shooting back his first shot of alcohol. He wasen't planning on getting drunk tonight, he never did. The man simply wanted to forget a few things, or rather get his mind off of the sad state of affairs his life was currently in. Of course, life is never easy. A slender form approached the small table Deon was sitting at, swaying her hips as she walked before sitting down in front of the man, a seductive smile across her lips. Her hair was long coming down past her shoulders, and seemed to be rather well kept. Though, because of the light the man coulden't quite make out its color, it was of course either a black or a brown...it was simply too dark. In fact, most of her features were hidden by the shadows, and only an idea of her form entered his mind. Some woman dressing in tight cloths looking for a one night stand and hoping for more. Yet before this woman could say a word, Deon shook his head and spoke. "Look, I'm not looking for anyone." He said simply "I-" But, the woman was swift. "Often come here alone, don't you?" She said. "Yes, I see you around these parts, living with yourself drowned in your own sorrow...this is one of your distractions." "I don't come here for conversations." "No, you don't...but I think deep down you come here for one thing..." She placed her hand on his chest before bringing it up to his chin, causing Deon to look straight into her dark eyes. She then leaned forward, making her lips meet Deon's with an embrace. It was a short one, that was broken by him. He placed his hand on hers, pushing it away as he leaned back. "No." The officer said simply before standing. "But you don't have a ring...or a line from one...isn't a man of your age lonely?" Yet, Deon did not reply, and instead made his way for the door. The drink would be placed on his tab anyway. And as he made the long walk back to his apartment he passed a small pawnshop, and a crazy idea popped into his head...perhaps a ring would stop any vixen from trying to start anything with him. Soon the man left, a small box within his jacket. ------- The ring itself appears to be a simple item, one that closely resembled the one Deon had given to the won he loved all those years ago. Of course, upon closer inspection the gem isn't a diamond, but instead a stone that appears to be one that no local jeweler can recognize. The stone itself is clear like a diamond, yet at night grows to be as black as obsidian, and then at dawn returns to its diamond like state. Deon now wears the ring, after all he dosen't have to bother with various people trying to start a relationship with him.

Earth -Deon is an individual who remains steadfast in any situation, almost like a stone. Not only that but he is relied on by the other members within his department to handle the roughest jobs, knowing that he would do whatever he can to get that done. He is hard one the outside, cold, yet underneath, buried deep within is a much gentler man...although Deon believes that he may be dead.
Light -This is attributed to his outstanding need to protect others, even if he is harmed from these actions. Yet he is blinded by this passion, this burning light, and it will end up taking his own life one day.
Magnetism (negative) -The man wants to be alone, and thus dose all he can to repel others. He even goes through the trouble of buying and wearing a ring to appear married. After all the man dose not want to be morned when he finally dies.
