Wow. So it seems our dearest Gaia has netted (pun not intended, that's just the way it turned out ><) a huge sponsor - Nike. The world's leading supplier of athletic shoes, apparel, and sports equipment. Last year Nike made 3 billion more revenue-wise than Viacom (MTV's parent company), although I think Viacom did a little better as far as net-income goes.
Either way... geez. We sure are growing. xd

Well, I don't usually buy Nike stuff. Their shoes never fit my feet, which is why my athletic shoes are usually Adidas or something. XD
Anyway, it's a huge sponsor that will help a lot with getting money for the site. I know that I see plenty of Nike ads a day, but that's probably because I'm watching ESPN a lot.

Nike HQ was about fifteen minutes from my house in Oregon.
It looks very pretty. And athletic. XD
Maybe Nike will satisfy the sponsor-quest craze for a while?

I enjoy Nike's sponsorship. Probably get us net nerds active. xd
Hey, their Quest allows us to run faster in Towns. Perhaps, if they make new quests, they'll allow us to "upgrade" our avatars more?

I like how in the middle of my schools social justice week, we get a sponsor who's factories are horrible working conditions.
Irony?
But the REALLY funny one was this week two years ago, when we had Nike protesters lead an assembly...
And my school's football team, number 1 in the nation at that time, (pretty high ranked this year too) is SPONSORED by Nike. Now that was funny.

Hey now, don't MAKE me start bitching about the third world countries, you hear me? I WILL defend sweatshops if I have to, I'm not happy about it, but I will. Sure, conditions and pay suck compared to our nice 1st word countries, but sweatshops pay higher than the other occupations in 9/11 of those shithole countries. Lose a finger? Beats starving and prostitution. Anyways, I am seeing a surprising amount of... not... rage over this one. I honestly was expecting everyone to freak out and jump up and down.

Let's not get politically charged. =)
But yeah, I was expecting more of a backlash for this sponsorship, there was like... none in site feedback.
