Age: Looks maybe 12-ish, behaves like a teenage brat

Physical Build:
Eyes: Gray, almond-shaped, luminous and light-reflecting like a cat's
Skin Tone:
Hair: Black and completely straight, very long. She almost always styles it in some sort of elaborate updo.
Distinguishing Marks: Large burn scar on her chest near her stone, her tail adapts the color and pattern of whatever garment she is wearing
Predominant Features: Asian in appearance, like all Shadow Fiends her "face" consists of only the eyes. She can completely melt with the shadows and become nigh invisible that way.
Apparel: Nephrite prefers to wear elaborate layered Asian style silk gowns—usually a hanfu with a matching sash, jacket and shawl, but she'll also wear yukatas or kimonos. She prefers vibrant jewel tones for these: amethyst purple, lapis blue, ruby red . . . She usually keeps her stone covered. She'll also almost always wear jewelry and hair ornaments, and prefers gold and colorful gems for these.

Strengths: Determination. If there is something Nephrite wants you better not be in her way, for she will stop at nothing to get it.
Nephrite is extremely tidy and well organized, to an extent which is bordering on OCD.
Flaws: The flipside of her determination means she is incredibly stubborn as well and will hold a grudge forever.
Nephrite is extremely selfish. Even the things she claims to be doing "for" someone, like when she saved her guardian from getting accidentally drowned by a mermaid, or her attempts to keep him "safe" by drugging him / trying to kill his sister, she essentially does because it is in her own best interest. After all, she relies on that soul bond for the life force to survive and grow. After all, if her guardian perishes, so will she.
Even when her acts appear to be selfless and altruistic, they typically are not but she wants to get on someone's good side and gain favors with them.
Nephrite is impatient and has quite a bad temper and anger issues. Think Kylo Ren level of anger issues. Don't give her a light saber to smash stuff with. Just don't.
She lies or at least twists the truth a lot. Though sometimes it's more of a matter of telling the "truth" the way she sees things.
She is quite ruthless and will not hesitate to offer someone some "tea" to try out some new concoction.
General: Like her guardian, Nephrite likes her comfort and luxury. But while Amon works for it, Nephrite generally is rather lazy and likes to be pampered. She shares her guardian's dislike for outdoor activities like hiking and bugs, with the exception of gardening.
She loves shopping, particularly for makeup jewelry and clothes.

Element: Shadow. Since Nephrite is a shadow fiend, she possesses all the abilities typical for her kind—she is virtually weightless and floats, she can manipulate shadows or meld with them to hide, phase through solid objects, communicate via telepathy.
Magic: Nephrite does not know any spells, and even though she probably could learn, Amon is adamant no one teaches her. Though she is not particularly interested either.
She is, however, starting to become increasingly interested in potion-making.
Physical: Nephrite is good at giving massages.
Perception: Nephrite is highly empathic, especially by touch. However, she is so terribly self-centered that she tends to misinterpret what she senses from others.
Other: Nephrite basically is a mini apothecary apprentice. She would likely be able to whip up a herbal remedy real quick for anything from a headache to digestion problems. She also can treat minor injuries, and knows which herbs or fungi to use to take the edge off the pain.
However, she has an increasing interest in ingredients that would work as sedatives or would someone make susceptible to suggestion. Not to mention those with magical properties . . .
Unlike the other fiends, Nephrite actually possesses a sense of smell and has started to dabble into aromatherapy and the uses of essential oils.
Nephrite has no weapon skills, but she would use and has used a small blade or an extra-pointy and sturdy hairstick to defend herself or her guardian.
Nephrite possesses a keen sense of style. She could quickly put together a nice outfit and hairstyle for most anyone.
Weaknesses: As a being of shadow, naturally, light.

Friends: Nephrite has many acquaintances but no one she would call friend. Hawk might be the one to come closest. Possibly. Maybe.
Family: I guess the other shadow fiends would count as her siblings in a way?
Enemies: She's definitely managed to make an enemy out of her guardian for now, and it'll probably take quite some time for his anger to cool off, if ever.
She's managed to greatly piss off Athan as well.

Nephrite was recently banned from the home she shared with her guardian Amon because he is no longer willing to put up with her selfish and malicious antics after she tried to poison his sister. However, he still feels responsible for her, so he had her set up to move into his old loft apartment downtown Durem, not far from Twilight Designs.
Given they used to live with three people in this apartment and it comes with a large balcony and veranda, this was incredibly generous all things considered.
Nephrite refused to unbox her things for weeks since she did not accept the fact Amon had banned her for good and she kept being hopeful she could get back into his good graces somehow.
However she has now started to accept it for a fact she is pretty much on her own now, and started to make this her new home.

A few weeks after Amon banned Nephrite from their home, Hawk went to visit her to snap her out of her rut and the pity party she was throwing for herself. The two bonded over the fact they had both managed ot piss off Athan, and they went for a bit of shopping to lighten their gloomy mood . . . Only then they ran into Ezra, the antagonist of the current "Everybody's Eden" meta plotline. Hawk was captured, but was able to cast a portal for Nephrite to escape.
Scared, Nephrite waited for several days hiding out in her apartment, before she finally dared to leave for Twilight Designs to warn the others of what had happened. She may have waited too long . . .

 The flower brush used for the banner is part of the Japanese Foliage brush set by Designfruit. The font used is called Tobin Tax by Larabie Fonts. Floor plan of house was googled. <<; Fiendish art by Reyna of course, everything else so far (the actual banners) by me. heart
