Strange Nights
Standing on top of a tall building. She looked down into the bright lights of New York. She bared her vampiric teeth slightly. Licking one as she put a slight smile on her rosy lips she stared as the people below her walked like little ants used to all the comotion. She laid back against the roof and stared up at the luminescent full moon. Longing to grasp it. She stood up once more in boredom and jumped off the building landing gracefully in an ally. She walked out into the bright lights putting her sunglasses in place. She walked casually down the street towards a bar. Bright neon lights above a near building reading 'Dereks'. She walked into the building and sighed sitting at the bar stool near bartender. She looked around to see drunken men and women giddily laughing with flush faces. She scowled
'Stupid humans..' she thought as she turned back to the bartender and sighed.
"Hello Jeremy." She whispered licking her vampiric teeth. He merely nodded in her direction and set a glass and bottle in front of her. She grinned showing her bright pearly teeth and poured it contents into her cup, then taking a quick sip sighed in content. "Always the best, Jeremy. Ye know me too well." she said giggling.
"Knowing you too well. My dear, Alishia is not too hard." he winked at her as he set a glass in front of a different customer. She merely nodded her head in acknowledgement.
"Here , Here!" she said. "Any one happen to ask about me?"
"No. The normal ones as usual like John and Seth. But that's it. Are you expecting someone?" he asked raising an eyebrow in her direction. She scowled.
"Those bafoons won't be able to find me..after I told them that I was hard to find. Yet they still try." She sighed. "And now. I'm not waiting for anything." She gulped the rest of the liquid. A small trail of red going to her cheek. She quickly wiped it and puffed out a breath.
"My. A little greedy for blood tonight are we?" he said chuckling. She merely grinned her mistchivous grin and set the bottle on the bar.
"Well, I hadn't eatin since two nights ago. Busy with a job I was assigned. Thanks for the refresher. I'll see you soon. And you know what to do." she said placing a fifty on the bar smirking at him as he shaked his head.
"Bye Alishia." He said as he turned.
"Bye Jeremy." She then turned swiftly putting her sunglasses back on and strolling out of the bar.
Walking steadily towards the hotel she sucked in her breath when she felt some body encircle their arm around her waist and pull her into an ally.
"Hello, My dear Alishia. Thought you could get away from me?" Whispered a hoarse voice next to her ear. She shuddered and then smirked.
"Why Derek..So Glad to see you again. What does Markus want?" She said.
"Well first off whenever you come to my bar at least have a decency to ask for me and not spend all your time talking to Jeremy. Even if he is quite a good fellow. And second. Markus has a..how do you say? Oh yes. has requested you go to him at this momment. I would change to formal wear aswell. He'll be awaiting your presence at the ball." he said as he disapeared into the shadows. She sighed angrily.
"Why can't he come himself. always sending that pervert instead.." She mummbled and then she heard chuckling and knew she had be heard. She quickly walked the rest of the way to her hotel in order to change her clothing.
She walked in and quickly set her keys to the side. She ran to the restroom and took a long hot shower. She wrapped her pale body in a towel and walked out into her closet. Coming out with a purple dress that was skin tight around the waist and then went loosly around her legs. In layers of purple ending in a very light purple. Her shoulders being shown since it was a strapless. She put a silver choker around her neck and then her silver heels. Quickly doing her hair in messy curls that still looked elegent she applied lavender eye shadow and mascara with black eye liner. She put lipgloss and finally thought herself presentable. She grabbed her elegent black coat and walked out of her room locking the door. She walked out to the blazing streets and hailed a taxi.
Arriving at the Galla. She took a deep breath and walked into the bright lights of the Galla. There she looked around with her ice gray eyes. Trying to catch a glance of a Blonde head and light blue eyes. No luck. She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to see who she was looking at and frowned.
"Now..Why my dear Alishia. Does your Pale face have such an unlady like frown gracing those perfect lips?" he asked.
"Markus." She said icily. He chuckled and took her arm in his after they had taken her coat.
"Now we should enjoy ourselves."
"Why is it you wanted me to come? It's bad enough sending that pervert everyday and telling me I have missions. Now I have to attend a party? Why is it that whatever you make me do. I have to suffer?" she said icily looking and stareing into his eyes in a challenging manner. He merely smirked and stepped into the ball room. Music could be heard and many people dancing in the middle elegently were seen. She frowned. She simply hated these events.
Well nothing better to do. She though as she bit her lip and the light turned off causing everyone to scream and her smile and disapear into the darkness welcoming it as home..
