 Chicken squinted, stepping out from the old hot dog shop that stood alone in a messy street corner where his owner had worked for a part-time job. For the first time in a few weeks, the sun shone brightly upon the city, spreading warmth and melting the snows of winter. He wasn't interested in much on a Sunday morning. Moonflower was at the vet, and most of friends were probably wandering around in the dumpster. How disgusting. He breathed in the strong scent of smoke and greasy fast food and continued along the sidewalk.
What to do, what to do.

 Touhii wheezed as she smell the smoky air of the city. As she was mostly use to the lush grass and rolling hills of the country side. As her owner was only here for one reason, and that was for to get very dog checked up. Touhii made a run for it and is now on the crowded sidewalks of a Sunday afternoon. As the snow started to melt, it was a clear sign that spring was soon.

Chicken shook his messy fur and made his way through the crooked sidewalk, watching as cars drove past him. He was of the lazy sort, unlike other dogs. If someone were to throw a frisbee, he would be the last to run and catch it. He preferred sleeping and lounging near the hot dog store, watching anyone who passed by.
As he continued along, he lifted his nose, noticing the scent of another canine. He began to go faster, not neccisarily running, but more like a fast jog. Most people were afraid to walk their dogs in the city in fear that they would be kidnapped. He was interested on who would be out in the city on a busy day like this one.

The scent of another dog was nearby. Touhii started to worry as she didn't really know how dogs are like when it comes to the city. Some say they are mean and has rabies. Others say that they are the gangsters when it comes to all dogs. She didn't want to die today, so instead of keep walking her direction. She slowly back tracked. As she didn't know where the vet was. She looks around to see if someone could at least help her out.

"Don't go!" Chicken called out, unwilling to return to his state of boredom. Hopefully the dog would be somewhat entertaining. He was tired of the gang's foul ideas of having fun in the dumpster, and hanging around Moonflower and her pointless theories.
With that said, he started running down the sidewalk, following the dog scent. He tried to make his footsteps as soft as possible, hoping not to scare the canine off, although it was difficult to do that with his heavy weight.
"It's okay, I'm not dangerous," Chicken said, wishing he could say the same about the other dogs in the city.
As he turned the corner, he noticed a young female Collie, but he wasn't quite able to get a glance of her face since she was turning the other direction.
"Ma'am," he breathed.

Hearing deep breaths of the dog behind her she turned to face a Jack Russel. He was a bit smaller than her but in any case she was younger than him. She bowed down and frowned. Hoping that he could help her find her way back to where she needs to go.
"Excuse me mister.. Do you know the way back to the Vet? I'm new here and don't know where to go.", She whispered softly down at him. Her teal striped tail didn't wag once while she was here. This place was scary and she wanted to go home.

Chicken paused and looked at the Collie. He hadn't seen many Collies much around the city, so it was interesting to find one standing right in front of him.
"Well, yes," he smiled warmly. "In fact, my cousin is in the vet, now. I can lead you to it, if you'd like."
Chicken gave an assuring nod and tilted his head towards the direction of the vet. "It's not too far, actually."

Touhii smiled down at the Jack Russel and looked up at the tall city buildings. "Well.. I wouldn't mind looking around the city.." She said softly. Then looked back down at Chicken. "Um.. Could you show me around before we go to the vet? I heard that dogs around here are dangerous.. So I didn't want to venture alone.." She added.
As she looked to where the canine was tilting his head at, seeing that must be the direction to the vet. But the vet could wait.. Just a bit longer. As her eager mind wants to know everything about the city life of a dog.

Chicken nodded and laughed. "Most of the house pets stay indoors, and there are a few strays out here." He said, remembering his gang, but decided not to mention it. "Maybe there are just a couple of strays that can be dangerous, but you're more likely to find a stray that's just hungry. The dog catcher usually gets them," he expained.
He bit his lip at the thought of exploring the city. He wasn't exactly *allowed* to, but he was able to do a lot of things that were prohibitted by his owner. The farthest he was able to go alone was only to the dumpster which was only a few blocks away. Like he said, it was completely safe, so why couldn't he walk around town? He wasn't even alone. He was companied by a lovely Collie who needed his help. That was a pretty good excuse.
He nodded again, and began to walk down the sidewalk. "Sure," he agreed.

Tilting her head to the side, she looks up at the sky as she sees the sky gray and blue. The clouds also look somewhat gray.. But there was no scent of rain. Just thick smoke. Though she was most excited to look around the city. But the sky got her attention the most.
Looking down, Touhii follows the dog. "So.. Its not as dangerous as my friends say.. See.. My sister told me.. That dogs in the city kills humans.. But I never really believed her." She whispered softly as she still looks up at the sky and tries to look at the street as well. She wondered, if dogs really does kill humans.
"Does.. Does dogs really kill humans around here? Maybe I should go back to the vet..." She started to get second thoughts about this city, Even though she was with someone, she still didn't feel so.. So safe.

"Well, I dunno, to tell you the truth," Chicken admitted, but still hoping that Touhii wouldn't turn back. He half-wanted to still see the city himself. Maybe he find Moonflower on the way. If there were human-killing dogs, then they would probably be in the dumpster, so he decided to cross that part off their trip. Still, the thought shcoked him. He never heard of such a thing. Humans were probably the most dominant creatures around, and a dog couldn't kill one of the full-grown ones, could they? He shook the thought out of his head and tried to smile comfortingly.
"It's unlikely we'll run into them, though," Chicken smiled. "Besides, they kill humans, right? Not us."
Regardless, he was still unsure.

Touhii started to shiver a bit. Not from the cold weather, which was getting warm anyway. But the fact that their could be mad eating Dogs here! And if they can kill a human then it must be easy to kill a dog. She couldn't turn back know. She didn't know her way around.. And going alone isn't good for her.
"U-Unlikely? There must be tons of mad eating dogs around here.." She pauses and shivers. "And if they could kill a human, then they sure can kill and eat us!" She had to cling to something close to her. But she didn't have any of her little Plushie and couldn't run away.

"You won't have to worry, you'll have me," Chicken smiled jokingly. He well-knew that he wouldn't stand a chance with anyone. He was practically a wimp, and it felt odd guiding a Collie around a city who was bigger than him. He let a few chuckles slip from his mouth.
"I've never seen one, and I lived in the city all my life," he said, matter-of-factly. He knew that he was only saying half of the story since he really never ventured out far enough to find a vicious man-eating dog. Besides, what kind of dog would eat human flesh? The thought made him cough.

Touhii looked at the other and sighed. She knew she couldn't do it.. Venture out into such a huge place on her on. She would have been dead by now if Chicken wasn't even here.. Wait.. what was his name? "Oh my.. I haven't properly introduced myself... I'm T-Touhii..."
A small cough came from her mouth. "And.. You are?" She asked him politely.

He glanced at the worried expression on Touhii's face. He was just as worried as her, maybe more. He just tried to hide it from his face. Although, if you looked close enough, you could tell that his legs were shaky and wobbly.
"I'm Chicken," he said quickly. He wasn't quite fond of his name, and he hoped it wouldn't stick to people.
