So I know. I'm never here anymore.
BUT it's not my fault.
Gaia is lagging soo much for me, and my laptop is brand new.
Discuss: - If Gaia is slow for you. - Why????!!!

How much ram does your laptop have? Gaia sucks up alot of virtual memory. Last night Gaia was lagging terribley because I'd spent the last week with my computer on, downloading and burning. My ram was about done until I restarted the laptop and all was well. Just needs to be refreshed often if you have very little ram. But if you have plenty, then you shouldn't face any problems. Unless, you have many memory sucking programs running the background. When you run iExplorer/Firefox/internet browser, what else is running? Any programs like Limewire, Photoshop, a torrent loader, etc. ? Many of those programs are memory hoarders. Also, if you have Windows Vista (which many of the new laptops do) the vista theme (visual settings) sucks up a TON of memory. Then again, most laptops would come with plenty of memory. Vista running computers would probably need a gig to run nicely. If someone built your computer, they should have known that but if it was store bought, then it should be fine. But it's not. xD
Sooo, could be any of those problems, check them out and then tell me if you find anything. n_n

I have 1.93 GB RAM, right now my CPU usage is fluctuating from 7 - 50%, and I have iTunes, Roxio Labeler and my browser open, as well as the Task Manager and MSN. This is normal for me, I always have a bunch of programs open, and it has never lagged before. It's only my browser that lags though, all the other programs are fine.
My browser is Slimbrowser. I also tried IE, and Firefox and they both lag too.
The only thing I can think of is maybe that I downloaded a tonne of movies this week, but that would affect the overall performance of my computer, and not just in my browser. So, I dunno!
I am running Vista, but I customized my settings to use less of the visual addons that are useless, and I have it running on "High Performance Battery Power" because I am always plugged into my adapter.

Hm.....Maybe it's having problems because there are so many people online at once, or perhaps it's the network server.
