On a Lunacy Fringe

I was talkin to someone today and they just randomly said to me, "oh man, hey didn't you used to smoke weed like all the time?"
The conversation went down the road of me having to explain EVERYTHING about weed to them and why it's not bad, and how it's safter than alcohol, and how it's not addicting blah blah blah.
So here's my question. I know a lot of people don't get out that much and I understand the stigma surrounding it, but really, why is it that very well educated people, don't see that pot is not a bad thing? It makes me a little annoyed.... mainly because I have to explain it time and time again.

It's because MTV, NBC, CBS, & ABC are too busy manipulating the lives of countless Americans and people all around the world. It's all due to the fault of the mass media. If it weren't for them bastards, everyone would be doing it.

People don't even realize how pot is NOTHING compared to how bad alcohol is for the human body. Everyones ******** stupid but me. rofl

Yeah its true, the media's fault. I'm just so upset at how manipulative the media is, and people believe them like they are all the truth and nothing but. >.< My biggest pet peeve is that only 5% of the American people are
prepared to take personal responsibility for their lives and for their
families and their communities and 95% want to depend on government to
take from someone else and give to them.

This is all about responsibility and many out there are fking it up for all of us.

They're brainwashed....as a couple of you already said, by the media, by DARE as children, etc etc......

it never occurs to them to question anything big brother tells them...people that think for themselves are dangerous.... mrgreen

I remember having DARE in 4th grade. I loved it because I loved the idea of changing the way you think. I remember wondering what all the different types of drugs feel like.

I'm now a hard-core advocate of the use of cannabis, mushrooms, and most other psychedelics. I probably would never have learned about them otherwise, thus, I support DARE for exposing me to the drug scene.

Yay for counter-productivity!

I dunno, I don't think I paid much attention... however, I did start researching opiates in the seventh grade. Book research, that is. I didn't do any "field research" til later. By the time I was in high school, I'd still never tried anything but had decided prohibition was as ridiculous in the 90s as it was in the 20s.

And now, I seem to be the only one without a DARE t-shirt to wear when I'm on deck. xd

This is the truest s**t I've heard in a long time, I am sick of having to brainwash my friends and tell them I'm not ruining my life, ever since i started smoking I feel like life is worth living and I do better in school and stuff.

Marijuana has been in man's possesion for thousands of years. Thousands of years from now, it, or a decendant thereof, will be consumed by my offspring. So I figure I'll let people decide what they want to do with their own lives. For me, a sack and a fishing pole are more valuable to me than money. But thats just me. I've always hated currency.

Isn't that a bit like counting your chickens before they're hatched? ninja

A sack and a... dude, that's the oddest case of the munchies I've ever heard of! rofl Seriously, though... I have to say that it's not that I hate currency, it's more that I don't really give a rat's a** about it. Well, other than what it takes to pay my rent and my light bill, with enough left for booze and the occasional meal. No, I didn't mention herb... I tend to give a good portion of what's left over in cash to the li'l sis, who grows. mrgreen

Most people in their 30's are so negative about drugs because of the war against drugs in the 80's. I know that's why my sister hates me smoking pot.

*shrug* I grew up with DARE in the 80s. Then again, I also learned to think -- and when we had to do our drug reports in 7th and 9th grade, I actually researched. Wrote what I was expected to so I'd get the grade, though.

Because school is brainwashing. Shalom and DARE with their "facts", most especially. I even kept this story that I got in health class this school year to show my boyfriend for the lulz.

Weeds not nessasarily a BAD thing, but that doesnt mean its a good thing either..It whould have to depend on the person.
Sompe people react dangerously to the effect and some get extremly paranoid...Its all in how you use iti think.
But yea your right, just because some people dont like the effect dont mean it shouldnt be allowed by others.

I remember being in a stupid little musical we put on in middle school. I remember the song too. "D! I won't do drugs! A! won't have an attitude! R, I will respect myself! E! I will educate me!" >_>;
