Last week I left my USB drive at the digital electronics lab; by the time I realized, I was already at home, and although I keep it in a keyring with a bottle opener included, odds were someone stole it, or they took them to the lost stuff.
Normally I would frantically look for it even in the most absurd places, especially because it had a lot of school work in that drive. But I've learned from before the lesson of never, ever leaving something in my drive without copying it to my home computer, even though my drive had room for 1 GB, so it was not like I had something to lose other than an USB drive. And besides, I was already feeling like getting a bigger one, so I instead went out to buy a 2 GB drive; after all, these things just cost like $15.
Today it turned out that a friend found it and kept it for me. That means now I have 3 GB worth of portable storage, almost as much as a DVD. surprised
