Kefka had done nothing important since he had arrived in Kitsusagi territory. He had found no allies, nobody to kill, nobody to push around. And what was worse, the snow season had come now.
"I hate this season!" He hollered to nobody in particular as he sat in an armchair in the Kitusagi Mountain shack. "Hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE this damn weather! It does nothing for my plans, that's for sure. And all the damn moisture prevents me from keeping my makeup correct." He popped a tiny mirror out of his pants pocket and spent a short amount of time repowdering his facial fur. Once it was considerably pasty white again, he popped the mirror away.
"Damn this weather," He hissed again, hopping out of the chair. He walked over to the fireplace and leaned against the hearth, throwing a small log into the fire. Small embers shot up, making the Kitsusagi smile menacingly. He loved to burn things, and briefly wondered if he should burn down this mountain shack to kill his boredom.
"Damn this ridiculous long winter month," He yelled sharply, suddenly. "There's nobody to see or kill! I hate, hate, hate, hate, HATE IT!! DIE!"
He turned 180° away from the fire and bounced towards the door, costume bells jingling. Surely there would be somebody outside to annoy, pick on, kill, or have fun with.
Either way, it would remove his boredom.

Lace, zee crazy permakit and Terra x3 Well, Lace hadn't liked winter at all either.
Especially since it had killed ALL THE FLOWERS and made her fall sick the other time she was taking care of Terra when the kitsu was still an egg. THe permakit was whining and exaggerating the details while she brought the quiet brown teen up the Mountain, for some exercise, she claimed, for ladies need their strength and they shouldn't depend on knights for everything and also to keep a lookout for the evil prince.
As always.
Terra, of course, couldn't make any argument against her guardian, who had been assigned to her by her father, or she knew she would be punished and at the very most, yelled at.
It wasn't very nice to be yelled at by the pink permakit, so Terra had always listened to her. It didn't mean Terra liked her though.
"The evil prince must be hiding somewhere!" Lace declared angrily, gray eyes darting here and there. "Or at least, his minions!" Especially after the rumors that she had heard. What was it about him hurting someone?!

Kefka stepped outside into the weather, immediately hating the cold as he walked away from the steps. His earring bells jingled in the wind, and he could feel his hair coming undone.
Neither were good, and the Imperial Court Mage began to growl, shaking his head, moving his paws up to neaten and tighten the tie on his head which he was using to keep the hair tied back. He made one quick check of his head feather to make sure it was still there. He loved his feather, it was just a final touch on an already perfect outfit. If anything should happen to it, he would feel incomplete.
"Stop blowing at MEEEEE!!!" Kefka suddenly screamed at the wind. "If you were tangible, I'd kill you. I'd kill everyone you ever loved! STOP blowing on me, DAMN YOU! HATE YOU!!"
He was half tempted to start jumping up and down in the snow and scream some more, when he heard some strange voices nearby. With ears raised high, he turned his head towards the source of the voices, wanting to get a better listen-in.
"Fah," He glared. "Children. What an absolute shame. And here I was hoping for somebody more my size. Oh well. Children are easier to corrupt and lie to." He grinned. "Might as well say hello and englighten them with my wonderful prescence."
He moved off the bottom step and began to walk through the snow towards the others, ruffles and bells flapping in the wind.
"Hello there, young souls!" He called out in an eerily overly-happy voice. He flashed them a grin, baring his teeth. "How are you today on this fine..." He paused momentarily, making a loud noise of disgust. "...Not so fine afternoon?"

The brown teen winced as the wind blew another harsh voice her way. She really had enough of screaming, and yes, even though Lace was her guardian, she still wasn't used to it. It made her ears hurt! But maybe it was a good thing, as Lace had stopped her ranting and perked her ears up, a frown spreading over her face.
...Or not.
Terra knew that look well. It was when the kit would start making accusations about the evil prince and such, about killing the flowers AGAIN. She had heard this way too many times.
The permakit twisted around to stare at the...colorful kitsu, both eyebrows raising at the sight. "Not so fine, yes." She huffed, giving him a once over. By her side, Terra gave a small wave, before ducking behind the kit, knowing what was to come. "Are you, by any chance, working for the evil prince? Or well, maybe..." She paused, wrinkling her nose. Was that bells? Oh god. "The clown in his royal court? Yes, it seemed likely.
At this, Terra took a few steps backwards, putting her paws over her ears, white spotted tails tucking in between her legs, flashing the other a grimace. It was not too soon, as Lace had shrieked. "EVIL CLOWN!"

"Evil prince?" Kefka thought for a moment, sitting back on his haunches. His tails swayed in an irritated manner, and his brows were furrowed in concentration. Though that expression was gone almost as soon as it had begun. A sadistic smirk grew across his face as he began talking.
"No evil prince, but I used to work for an evil overlord emporer once. But then I killed him! Uwaeee hee hee!!" He laughed in a screeching tone, wiggling on his heels in excitement. "And it was fun, too. I hated Emporer Gehstal. He was such an oppressive old fool. Always out for himse--"
Kefka cut off his own sentence and went quiet, left eye twitching in utter horror.
"What.... did you call me?" He growled. "WHAT did you call MEEEE?!" He rosed to his feet, jumping up and down on his paws as he threw a tantrum right there on the spot. "I am not a clown! Do I look like a clown to you?! I am an Imperial Court Mage!! I hate being called a clown! Hate hate, hate hate HATE IT!! I should have you all drawn and quartered for that kind of language!!"

"It's still EVIL then!" Lace declared, narrowing her eyebrows at him. Killing someone? She wouldn't put it past him to kill the flowers either! "And NO. It's King Saix here." She stomped her paw angrily. "He's an evil king. And he has an evil prince named Xanul."
"butbut." Terra ventured softly, looking slightly embarrassed. "he's not really evil..."
"Shut up!" Lace shrieked, looking even more angrier than usual. She didn't like the mention of the evil prince NOT being evil, it reminded her too much of that traitor who actually went to side with Xanul! She huffed angrily at that thought. Terra, looking unsure and lost, and not wanting to argue with the permakit, only backed away, furrowing her brows as she watched the "clown" start screaming at Lace.
"You are a CLOWN, YES!" Lace screamed back, pink tails rising defiantly. "Whatever your title is, you're still a CLOWN! An EVIL one! Bells, ruffles, makeup, LIPSTICK, and that RIDICULOUS outfit! CLOWNCLOWNCLOWNCLOWNCLOWN!" Obviously, the permakit wasn't in a good mood. She never was when she was reminded about Aroha's betrayal.
