Feel the need to keep people informed, even if I don't plan to stick around Gaia and dropped by to check up on someone.

a drone cant turn into a queen.

No drone can become a Queen. Queens, Carriers and Ravangars all grow from a pretoriaen.
Carriers and ravagers never existed before or after Aliens vs Predator: Extinction, and praetorians were never young queens before or even after that game, either. They modified the rules to make sense in the context of an RTS, which is really hard to do with xenomorphs. Mind you, a praetorian CAN become a queen if the queen dies, but so can any drone that is a "male" rather than a neuter.
In the comics, novels, and now thanks to Requiem even movies, (That's what was happening to the predalien, Chet. The brothers announced that was happening in an interview before the movie was even out in theaters.) any old male drone or praetorian is designed to have its hormones shift and start a metamorphesis to become a new queen should a current queen be absent for too long. During this shift of hormones, the "males" become violent and kill each other off until there is only one left, presumably the strongest with the best genes gained from the DNA Reflex.
The survivor goes on to inherit the hive and all of its neuter drones as they take their place as the new queen, and pass their DNA Reflex genes down to their offspring. This is how xenomorphs diversify and conquer, and has been embedded in the mythos for a loooooooong time. At least since 1992. It's also been used as a plot device in the expanded Universe more than once. Wanna get back to me? You cam TRY here but odds are I won't see it. Your best bet is to look up ChupiTheTerrible on furaffinity.net. Not really a furry, but it's a pretty entertaining art site with some good people if you know how to sift through the shitty ones.
EDIT: Oh, right. Forgot to mention it also happens in the games now with the latest. Anybody remember what happens with good old Six?
