She was careful with how she looked, hair brushed til it gleamed in the sunlight, short slightly flared skirt draped over her thighs to entice any male around. The off the shoulder shirt, sitting just above her pierced navel, the gem in that sparkling to blind my eyes. Not to mention her perfectly toned body. Every guy in town wanted to get to know her and she enjoyed teasing every single one of them. She never noticed me though, the mouse that sat in the cafe opposite the office where she worked. I had never even gotten to the point of saying hello to her. I longed to touch her, to hold her, to brush her hair and call her mine. But that could never be.
