Kyrin Matsui [Kuh-rin Matt-sue-i] Kyrin [Kairi] Marionette Matsui.
Kyrin Marionette Matsui is the daughter, and only child of Han Matsui, [a very powerful, respected, and feared mob boss in Kyrin’s hometown]. As a child, Kyrin was very much a Daddy’s girl; this was much attributed to the fact that Ky’s mother died when she was born. Even though Han ran a mafia, he never had any lack of time to tell his daughter that he loved her. Kyrin’s mother, Arissa Marionette Matsui, left behind a legacy within the mafia and a hope in the young girl’s heart that she could some day live up to the name her mother gave her and make her father proud. The butterfly pendant that Kyrin has worn since she was four is the only gift she would ever receive from a mother she would never get a chance to meet. Even though Kyrin grew up without her mother, she led a pretty happy life; Her father and his men gave her nearly everything she could ask for and the men even took to endearingly calling her “Princess”. While nearly everyone calls Kyrin by her English name, or a shortened version to Ky, Han calls her Kairi, taking pride in the fact that she is Japanese and his daughter. Because of her Japanese heritage, Kyrin was taught to speak Japanese alongside English. She learned both languages very well as a child, but as she grew older, she used Japanese less and in turn lost a bit of her knowledge. For years, Kyrin would only speak Japanese to her father and her aunt, or when she didn’t want others to understand her conversation. Since the move to the new city, Kyrin has brushed up on her Japanese and will rarely stumble over the words.
Kyrin was born on June 16th, a day that is both celebrated and mourned in the Matsui household. On June 16th, four years prior to Kyrin’s birth, Jaydn had been born, and when Kyrin was born the two shared more then just their family name, they shared a birthday. For the first few years after Arissa’s death June 16th was seen as a day of mourning. Though Kyrin and Jaydn were celebrated, the day was mostly spent in tears. After that, most of the family mourned in their own ways in private and celebrated the fact that Kyrin and Jaydn were growing up. Now the day is of celebration and remembrance. Celebrating the fact that both Jaydn and Ky are growing into the rights that their births entailed. To this day, Kyrin does not celebrate her birthday, in fact, she chooses not to acknowledge the fact that she is another year older unless she is asked. On that day, she celebrates her mother and remembers her through the stories she has been told. For the first few years of her life, Kyrin accompanied her father to her mother’s grave and with each year that she grew into understanding she felt the guilt become overwhelming, for she blamed herself for her mother’s death. On her eighth birthday, Kyrin flat out refused to go to her mother’s grave and spent the day in tears, having locked herself away in her room. For twelve years, Kyrin never went again, until her 20th birthday. On that day, she was able to cope with what happened, although she is still not over it and still blames herself.
Taking on traits from both her Japanese father and Caucasian mother, Kyrin is a slim woman at the age of 20 and stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall. Though she isn’t exactly physically strong, Kyrin holds herself confidently and with the aura of a leader about her. Her confidence can often be mistaken for arrogance, though a bit seeps through on occasion. Being half Japanese and half Caucasian she has the stunning features of a multi racial child. Her black hair, at one point dyed blue and once dyed blonde, accents ice blue eyes and lightly tanned skin. With her startling blue eyes being the biggest feature she received from her mother, Kyrin mostly takes after her father’s genes. A smug grin often plays across her lips, as she is extremely confident and somewhat full of herself. Kyrin has two tattoos. The first is a butterfly tattoo that sits on the inside of her left wrist. The intricate tattoo was a tribute to her mother, which Kyrin got on her nineteenth birthday. A tribute to a woman who had always been amazed by the elegance of a butterfly’s wings, and who taught Kyrin, through her tales, that a woman could be an honored member of a mafia. Her second tattoo is the family tattoo. In the Matsui household, it has been tradition for centuries that only males in the family bare the tattoo. It is a symbol of status, of power, the symbol of the Matsui heirs. Kyrin is the first female in the Matsui line to ever receive the tattoo and this in itself makes her proud to be her mother’s daughter. The complex and colorful depiction of an Imperial Japanese dragon is displayed proudly on her back, near her shoulder blade. At one point Kyrin had another tattoo, one that she got when she was seventeen, but since the move to the new city she had it removed. The tattoo was a simple butterfly under right eye.
Taking after her father in more then just looks, Kyrin inherited his quick temper as well. More often then she would like to admit, Kyrin finds her stress level a little too high and she loses her composure. When she was younger, Kyrin often let her temper get the best of her, earning herself unpleasant names in the process. With the utmost need too be able to reign in her temper, Kyrin turned to her father, whom has both the ability to make people listen to him and fear his anger at the same time. With her new found control over her temper, Kyrin was able to complete her work with more efficiency then usual. Although she has that trait in check, Kyrin has still yet to completely master her emotions, losing herself to tears on occasion. Kyrin is stubborn and extremely outgoing, almost to a fault. She doesn’t always think through her actions before she does them and pretty much lives in the moment. She has a knack for getting herself out of trouble, but she also has a knack for getting herself into it. Kyrin has a bit of a hard time coming to terms with new people in her life, trusting very few people because of what life experiences have taught her.
Kyrin has a few hobbies, though she finds them almost completely useless. When she was younger, Kyrin’s aunt taught her how to do Japanese style dancing, and while Kyrin did well with the elegant moves, she found her mind often wandering away from the pretty fans and kimonos that her aunt had tried to push her towards. Sometimes though, Kyrin finds herself going back to this dancing, alone in a locked training room, liking how elegant it makes her seem in comparison to the life that she leads. Her aunt also taught her calligraphy, but this is a skill that Kyrin has long since ditched. Kyrin’s new favorite pass times include gambling, playing poker, and drinking. Although Kyrin is not yet old enough to drink, she has been doing it since before even her eighteenth birthday. A few times too many the ever rebellious and hard headed woman would often find herself stumbling home near unconscious to puke up her guts. With very little self control while intoxicated, Kyrin flirts shamelessly with the men around her and generally doesn‘t exude the best judgment. Having a thirst for fun, Kyrin finds herself accompanying the men when they go out to gamble or drink. Since the incident with Craig and the move the move to the new city, however, Kyrin has had very little to drink in comparison to her life before. Its not that she doesn’t enjoy it, but she is a bit more careful then she used to be in that department.
Being Han’s daughter, Kyrin has seen her share of deaths and has felt her share of pain at the lose of those she was close to. In her twenty years Kyrin has only killed two people herself, being mostly shielded from that part of mafia life by her father. It took a long time with Kyrin to come to terms with the fact that she took the lives of two men but in the end decided that they deserved it and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Kyrin carries with her a number of small hand guns, ranging from one to three depending on where she is going. All her weapons are well crafted and adapted for her use. The expensive pieces of metal that she keeps in her pockets are nearly her only protection because Kyrin is not exactly a big person. Even though she and her cousins were trained in martial arts when they were young, Kyrin never excelled in it and is practically defenseless in hand to hand combat. She knows the basics, but if put into a fight she would surely lose. Kyrin can also wield a small knife or dagger, though she rarely keeps one on her person, finding them too crude. She can handle small weapons, but anything larger then a hand gun and Kyrin wouldn’t know what to do with it. Kyrin is also trained in the use of a katana. It is a recent interest that she has rekindled and she is becoming greatly skilled in the elegant weapon. Kyrin was given her mother’s katana by her father and practices with it nearly every day. She doesn’t think that she would ever use it in open combat, however, because not having an easily concealed weapon is not appealing to her. Along with being able to use a gun and a katana, Kyrin has learned various other skills that aid her in her job. One of the most important thing that Kyrin was taught growing up was to know people. Kyrin can name almost every important person in any mafia that has ever connected itself with Han’s or Jaydn’s mafias and a lot of the people that reside in the lower city of her hometown. When she was young it was a game for her to match people’s names with their position and job. To this day she still plays this ‘game’ memorizing people the instant she meets them and doing her best to not forget anything about them.
Kyrin has always found men in power to be attractive and since she was a young girl she had a crush on Craig Kasai, a man whose father worked under Han and who grew up with Ky. It took Kyrin until she was sixteen to realize that she had actual feelings for Craig, but since the man was five years her elder, she didn’t know how he would take the information. Craig had always been on of the only people Kyrin couldn’t hold her confident aura around. Becoming Craig’s ‘lover’, when she was nineteen, Kyrin thought that maybe some day they would mean something more to each other and would never do anything to hurt him. But, in a moment of bad judgment, and in a hazy drunken state Kyrin found herself in bed with James Corleone and found herself unable to find the words to tell Craig. Shortly after having slept with James, Kyrin fell pregnant and in a panicked state, she realized she didn’t know which man the child belonged to, but even more she was scared at the idea of having a child because of what happened to her mother. In the end she miscarried and Craig blamed her, cursing her for her stubborn recklessness and that ended their relationship. The whole experience changed Kyrin from a childish teenager to a woman in her own right, and Kyrin has found herself growing ever since. Kyrin now finds herself in a relationship with Miles, knowing that she is nothing more but his lover and not wanting to admit in her head that she might have deeper feelings for him then just laying with him in his bed.

Isabella O'Donnell; [Is-ah-bell-ah Oh-Dawn-ol] Isabella O’Donnell is a 16 year old girl that has more going on about her than she lets on. Her father is Sean O’Donnell, the infamous mob boss of the upper part of the city, and that’s simply the beginning of her unique story.
Isabella was born on October 21 to her father and a mother that she would, in the future, never meet. The men in her father’s mafia would speak of how Isabella greatly resembled her mother, Catheline, but they never mentioned how. Sean will speak of his precious daughter sharing her mother’s fair skin, purple eyes, and petite physical build, touching vaguely upon how similar they are in temperament. This last comment reveals much when there is research done about Isabella’s mother. Due to some complications during Isabella’s birth, Catheline was forced to have a Caesarean Section, causing the woman some panic. After the operation, Isabella’s mother suffered greatly from Postnatal Depression, a mental illness that opened up the floodgate to a more dangerous sickness that had been lying in wait: Schizophrenia. Sean was at first oppose to placing Catheline in an asylum, not believing it to be a place worthy of the love of his life, but after a few weeks with her home with a baby Isabella, Sean saw the side effects his wife’s problems had for his children and reluctantly sent her to a high class asylum out in the country, hoping that the fresh air would cure her and bring her home sooner then medicine and therapy alone could. Unfortunately, it is within that asylum that she remains to this day. Isabella has never seen her mother, Sean thought that perhaps it would be best to leave visiting her sick mother for when Isabella was older and more likely to understand the situation.
If Sean‘s intent in keeping Isabella away from her mother was to avoid having anything like Schizophrenia develop in his daughter, his efforts were wasted. Isabella inherited the sleeping gene of mental instability from her mother, a tragedy that awoke itself when she was still a child. Isabella had only one sibling, a brother who was 10 years older than her by the name of Jace. For all of her life, Isabella and Jace were extremely close, his gentle nature and sincerity making her look up to him. It was a shock to everyone when they discovered that Jace loved his sister in a non-brotherly way and that, because of a panic created when he tried to show his eight year old sister this, he was killed for it. Being the one who pulled the trigger traumatized Isabella dramatically and since that day, she hasn‘t been the same. From that day forward, Isabella was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder [Multiple Personality Disorder] and became two different people with two personalities that linked over the unlikeliest of things: Izzy and Bella. Isabella’s condition has been a tightly kept secret, guarded by Sean and Bella, herself, only a very few number of people know of the two personas.
Even so, they share the same body which allows them the cover of one person. Those looking at the distance would first notice Isabella’s distinctly Irish blood from which she gets fair skin and her long mane of dark red curly hair, usually put up with a ribbon to match the dresses she would wear, dresses with a butterfly on them in tribute to her place in the Butterfly Mafia. She usually compliments her outfit and compensates for being only 5 feet tall with a pair of tall black boots or some other shoe with additional height built into them. Because of her small build, she is very agile when she needs to be and, since strength cannot be carried in her body, her greatest strength is her ability to escape when danger rears its ugly head. Oddly enough, both personas have a deep dislike for the color green and those much taller than them but for different reasons. Otherwise, they have conflicting feelings for multiple different things.
Regardless of her mental condition, Sean is willing to put Isabella up as his heir to the Upper City Mafia after her brother’s death and didn’t refrained from training her life around the position she would one day take on. Sean is under the belief that one day, Isabella will be ‘cured’ and when that day comes, he will be ready to give his mafia to her as a congratulating gift and she will be ready to accept it and put it to good use. For years, the complicated girl has juggled her life between lies and truths, therapy and training, Izzy and Bella.
Izzy Izzy was ‘born’ as a result of Jace’s action and Isabella’s response of killing him. Ironically ‘Izzy’ is what Jace had always called Isabella and it seems that Izzy still holds all the love and adoration that Isabella had for Jace prior to his death. Izzy has no idea what happened between her and her brother, suppressing the memories of that day completely, she woke up one day asking where her brother was. Sean, weak only for his family, was unable to repeat that memory to Izzy, indulging in her innocence and saying that Jace has gone missing and Sean’s men were on the search. Izzy became content with that explanation though she continues to yearn for the brother that she’s lost.
In many different ways, Izzy resembles a little eight year old girl. Naïve and extremely gullible, Izzy believes that there are no such things as impossibilities, only improbabilities. She loves all things bright and colorful but, for reasons unknown to herself, dislikes the color green. Izzy loves to play dress up and her wardrobe reveals that about her as it is filled to burst with a multitude of frilly, lacey Lolita-style dresses and accessories. She is slightly vain and egotistical without seeming so. Nature cannot hinder Izzy’s good moods. She loves all the different seasons of the year for their own reasons and enjoys a cup of hot chocolate in the cold and a glass of ice tea (with a wedge of lemon and a paper umbrella) in the heat. Her hobbies also schedule themselves around the seasons. In the spring, Izzy can be found going through the mansion’s garden, picking flowers and creating crowns out of them, something her brother taught her to do when she was very young and she has now mastered. Come summer time, she will constantly pester whoever it is that is with her to go to the nearest pool. When the leaves begin to fall in autumn, Izzy will be in awe of the colors and willing to help rake the leaves, just so long as she’s allowed to jump into the pile when they finish. Winter’s snow is enough to make Izzy giddy for a week after it melts.
She is, like most children, afraid of the dark but not because of monsters. She knows that in the darkness is when all negative feelings and thoughts are prone to surface and so in that fear, she is also afraid of being alone. To avoid both, Izzy will usually be found sleeping with Kyrin in the other girl’s room. If she is unable to, then she will reluctantly spend the night in her own room, clinging to a stuff wolf, the last birthday present she received from Jace before he ‘went missing’. Izzy does not take well to being woken up and will sometimes throw a tantrum if roused from sleep. Fortunately, she wakes up fairly early so that is rarely a problem.
Izzy find sickness to be one of the worst things that can happen to a person and will avoid it at all cost. When she does become sick or bedridden, she tends to be extremely cranky and whiny, usually making a show of her unhappiness with bouts of brooding silence and words that she normally doesn’t mean. She enjoys going to school, more to socialize than to actually learn, and even though she doesn’t mean for it to happen, Izzy can never remember any of the lessons that are taught. Izzy is naturally friendly and eager to meet new people. Though she professes to want to make new friends all the time, Izzy rarely opens up to anyone other than Kyrin, Felix, and Craig. She also has a fear of anyone who is more than 4 inches taller than her, believing them capable of harming her in some way and making it hard for her to become immediately close to many people. She is able, though, to overcome that fear should she learn to trust them.
Izzy is unaware of Bella’s existence. She experiences memory lapses when Bella is on the surface. At first, these gaps in her memory unnerved Izzy but eventually she didn’t pay them too much mind, simply considering them as adventures that were regretfully missed. She is happy though that she is a part of the Butterfly Mafia, finding the idea of it to be exciting. As of this moment, Izzy hasn’t taken part in any type of mission, finding that the missions finished themselves without her or were ‘cancelled’. She hopes to one day be able to partake in something so much like a mafia as her father allows her no responsibility to her role as heir to his mafia. Sean looks upon Izzy with a form of pitiful love, loving her because he should but not really because of who she is. He treats her as he would a stranger’s child, kind but distant. Izzy, in turn, is proud of her father and his accomplishments but carries no actual love for the man. The two are like a pair of people on opposite sides of a room, connected by a thread they each hold one end of.
Izzy’s time as the conscious persona in Isabella’s body can be physically identified by a close look into her eyes, they become a lighter shade of purple. Not many know this little piece of information, those who do include Sean, Kyrin, Felix, and Craig. Others may know the difference between the two persona because of how starkly contrasting their personalities are. However, Izzy, who normally has a bright outlook on life, can become upset or depressed. When these moods have hit a dangerous low, Izzy is prone to behave in a self-destructive way in an attempt to escape whatever it is that is causing her pain.
When first introduced into the idea of becoming a part of the Butterfly Mafia, Izzy was thrilled. How could she not be? She loved butterflies, grew up in a mafia setting anyway, and the group was composed of herself and two of the best friends she had ever had: Kyrin and Felix. Ever since meeting at a young age, Izzy has always looked up to Kyrin as an older sister. Izzy often find herself closer to Kyrin than she ever was with her own father and holds Kyrin in the highest regard. Felix is a close second to Kyrin but Izzy isn’t quite as clingy to the technologically inclined girl, seeing as how Felix spent a good portion of her time cooped up in her laboratory with the door locked in an effort to keep Izzy and her own inventions safe from each other. Izzy will only depend on Felix’s company when Kyrin is unavailable. Others from the Matsui family include Mikel and Jaydn. Izzy and Mikel don’t interact much but when they do, more likely than not, Izzy will unintentionally overwhelm the younger boy with her charisma. Jaydn, however, makes no reaction to the presence on Izzy. When he first came to visit the girls at the mansion in their first year of owning it, Izzy was excited to have met another member of her best friends’ family but after having him shun her multiple times, Izzy no longer tried to be friendly to the man. His lack of attention to her existence usually leaves her with an insecure empty feeling and a sense of confusion as she doesn’t understand what she has done to deserve his cold shoulder.
Another person who has been a part of Izzy’s life for about as long as she can remember is Leif, the mastermind of the Black Market. Because Izzy knows that no harm can come from Leif, she isn’t bothered by his height and ignores his choice of hair color, actually having something of a crush on the mysterious man. When around Leif, Izzy is easy to blush and not quite as extroverted as she normally is. Craig is another prominent male in Izzy’s life. He is the only man that Izzy feels truly comfortable around since her brother went away. Craig, being the kindhearted gentlemen that he is, reminds Izzy of all the things she had admired in Jace, making it easy for her to accept Craig into her heart. That Craig is on such friendly terms with Kyrin makes an even better impression on Izzy. A lot of the time, Izzy looks to Craig as an older brother type of figure. He has the ability to comfort her when she needs it as does Osiris. Simply petting the big cat can put Izzy at ease.
Izzy is actually quite happy that there are more and more people coming into the Butterfly Mafia, the more, the merrier. Lily is a puzzle to Izzy but Izzy loves the other girl’s company nonetheless. Izzy hopes to be able to bond with the tomboy and perhaps show her the finer ways to dress but, seeing as how Lily has a habit of disappearing right when Izzy least suspects it, there have been some difficulties in Izzy’s goal. Izzy is completely in love with Nori, his clothes and accessories. Should Nori ever want to have a word with Izzy, she would be more than willing to lend an ear. Unlike most of the people in the mansion, Izzy has yet to discover that Nori is in fact a boy and merely thinks of him as a really flat chested girl. She hopes that she will be able to play dress up with him often. Fiore, who Izzy is familiar with from school, is actually not quite as close to Izzy as Izzy may make her out to be. Fiore has perhaps never seen any other side of Izzy other than her frequent carefree smiles and giggles. Izzy will be caught quite often staring at or thinking of Fiore’s hair which Izzy finds gorgeous and a little envious of.
The new male members of the Butterfly Mafia don’t necessarily have a good impression on Izzy nor are they all completely horrible either. Izzy is afraid and distrusting of Draven for his green eyes and her own belief of him having magical abilities. She often refers to him as ’the witch man’. She also hold no affection for Draven’s friend, Daren. Honestly, Izzy was rather relieved when the big man left them. As for James, Izzy is content with his company. She finds him to be a nice enough guy but Kyrin’s high opinion of the man is what really makes Izzy accept him. Likewise, Izzy’s feeling on Ian rely upon Kyrin’s feelings of him. When first meeting him, Izzy found Ian to be a nice person to be friends with but after Kyrin’s claim that he was a ‘bad man’ Izzy became doubtful. One thing is for sure: Izzy is not fond of the moods that Ian puts Kryin into. Tristan, being the newest member, hasn’t made much of an impression on Izzy. She’s only seen him through the meeting room doorway but she is curious nonetheless about what his business is with the Butterfly Mafia.
Bella The other side of Isabella refers to herself as ‘Bella’, the name that Sean would often refer to Isabella as. Though from a glance, these two sides couldn’t be more different, in a subtle sort of way, they’re more alike and intertwined than even they are aware of. They both rely heavily on each other for their existence though in different ways. Bella is forced to watch over Izzy, for fear that the other girl may end her own life in a fit of emotions, but Bella accepts that it is a fair trade off watching over the tiresome persona instead of having to deal with day-to-day life. Bella spends a good amount of her energy insuring that Izzy is safe because Bella understands that if Izzy has kicked the bucket, then Bella is very much dead as well. Just as Izzy’s eyes are a light shade of purple when she is on the surface, Bella’s eyes become a slightly darker shade when she is conscious. Because Bella is so often not around, many may find it hard to believe that she is in fact the core persona of Isabella. The only people who do know of this fact are Sean and Isabella’s therapist. One could very easily say that Bella doesn’t have many qualities that make her a likeable person. She is proud but insecure, feeling instantly intimidated by those taller than her, thinking that they mean her harm and have the ability to with their size. Bella is extremely self-centered in the sense that she doesn’t believe in doing anything for anyone unless it will affect her in some way. Unnecessarily suspicious and cynical, she also is extremely critical of herself and often frustrated with herself, a feeling she more often than not takes out on those around her. She is quick to explode but not necessarily reckless. She usually thinks things out quickly but thoroughly because she has been forced to juggle a number of things at once throughout her life. Whereas Izzy is more of a ‘take action’ sort of person, Bella spends most of her time thinking. She carries within her all the memories of her life, uncensored and unfiltered, remembering even the moments when she is on the ‘inside’. Because she carries these memories so clearly, Bella is fully aware of her brother’s cause and reason for death, a subject that if brought up by anyone will act as a trigger to her violent temper. Unlike Izzy, Bella’s feelings surrounding her brother are anger, hate, and, though she will never admit it, a deeply rooted fear. She blames herself for what happened with Jace, thinking that she should have been able to avoid the situation instead of letting it catch her off guard. Also unlike Izzy, Bella knows that her dislike for the color green is because of her brother, whose room was themed in that color.
Bella is a rather antisocial person. She doesn’t place any importance on making or maintaining friends and believes she would be better off if everyone would just leave her alone. Bella is determined to keep people at a distance, not wanting anyone to know about her split personalities, out of suspicion that they will use it against her but also because she is ashamed of having to use such a runaway tactic to keep herself mentally safe. Bella will only come ‘out’ when she absolutely has to [such as when her or Izzy’s life is in danger] or she has been summoned by Sean, the only person she holds any respect and affection for. Sean loves Bella as his true daughter, unlike Izzy, who he knows is only temporary. Sean insists that Bella learns the way of mafia life and has made it a point for Bella to specialize in different types of weaponry but also hand-to-hand combat, for her own protection. Sean sees a future with Bella taking over once he has stepped down from his position of Upper City Mafia boss. Bella admires Sean and his dedication to his daughter even after her traumatic event. She gives him credit for continuing to love her because if she was in his shoes, she would have abandoned the odd child. Sean is an exception to Bella’s low opinion on men. Beyond her father, Bella is predisposed to hate men simply because they are men. Because she is so rarely out, Bella is unable to spend a lot of time on the surface, not having the endurance to live consistently conscious. She does however make an effort to be conscious when learning anything new. Bella holds an insatiable thirst for knowledge but also contempt for those who don’t pick up on information as quickly as she does, believing her ‘slower’ classmates to be holding her back from everything she could be learning. She does restrain herself from creating any damage social while at school, to keep friendly relationships available to Izzy, who comes out during the breaks between classes so that Bella can rest a bit. Though ’growing up’ with the eccentric persona, Izzy, Bella has a traditional way of thinking and is rather close-minded to new ideas. She dislikes the clothes Izzy owns, considering them to be ‘ridiculous and gaudy‘. But left with nothing else to wear, she will usually chose the most tone-downed, darkly colored dress to wear when dressing herself, ignoring accessories because they ‘get in her way’.
Bella has habits that don’t do to well to her body but she doesn’t make herself too concerned with them, thinking that if they won‘t immediately kill her, they aren‘t worth worrying over. Bella will never be awake of her own will before noon nor will she go to bed any time earlier than three in the morning. Any sort of change to her set sleeping schedule will put her in a foul [or fouler than usually] mood. Also when the group takes its trips to the local bar, Bella will usually appear on the surface, taking comfort in drink. Her alcohol tolerance is relatively high, usually taking shots instead of steadily drinking. Bella does not enjoy the taste of alcohol but likes the ’out of body’ effects it has. Her minority does not hinder her drinking sprees in anyway as her position as Sean O’Donnell’s daughter usually opens Upper City doors and her company with Kyrin Matsui unlocks those doors located in the Lower City. Originally, Bella only joined the Butterfly Mafia for Izzy’s sake, as the other girl wanted desperately to be in the group. Though she still holds no attachment to the group, Bella is happy with the excuse it gives her to act her part of a mafia, a way she hopes to vent her usually misplaced anger. She is not however content with the growing number of people that she seems to have to surround herself with everyday at the mansion.
When the Butterfly Mafia began, Bella was just fine, though a little annoyed, with having to deal with Kyrin, Felix and Craig. Bella gives Kyrin reluctant obedience, usually addressing her with a sarcastic ‘Leader’ while inwardly thinking of Kyrin’s faults at such a position. Bella dislikes how Kyrin holds Bella’s dismissal over her head as a way to keep the girl in check. She also deeply dislikes Kyrin’s pet, Osiris. Since the feline had bitten her when he was a kitten, Bella has neither forgotten or forgiven the act and is currently waiting for the perfect opportunity to get rid of the cat. Bella recognizes that Felix has great inventions but will avoid the girl herself because she is ‘odd’. Craig’s even temper and polite nature frustrates Bella, making her feel as if he is belittling her. She is aware of his resourcefulness but would be more appreciative of his talents if he was a woman. Others of Kyrin’s crew include Mikel and Jaydn. Bella stays away from Mikel and finds that the little boy doesn’t quite bother her as much as everyone else. She is thankful for his help when she was wounded but she was never one to know how to properly thank someone. Bella’s feelings towards Jaydn however are not so indifferent. Bella is perfectly aware of why Jaydn is cold to her and, while she understands it, still holds it against him. Because Jaydn tends to just ignore her existence, Bella will constantly try to pick a fight with him when she is around to see how long he can ignore her for. Another that Bella has spent a long time working with is Leif. Bella’s feelings on Leif are complicated. His smug and overconfident nature irritates her but she has to keep a somewhat civil relationship with him because he is the Upper City Mafia’s supplier. She denies sharing Izzy’s crush on the man but deep down, that may not be entirely true.
Of the newer members to the group, Bella does not have many positive opinions on them. She makes a point of not socializing with them unless she absolutely has to and even then, she is short with the other members. Having referred to Lily as ‘Grimy’ in the beginning, Bella has found that the name has stuck. Bella finds Lily to be rude and more trouble then she’s worth. Otherwise, it’s almost a sport to her to threaten to beat up on the older but smaller girl. When Draven and Daren first entered the mansion, Bella didn’t like them. Now, her feelings for them have only changed in the fact that they’ve intensified. Bella finds that Draven is more likely to suffer from PMS than herself. She looks at his inability to keep his emotions stable as a weakness and doesn’t give him much credit in the intelligence department either. As for Draven’s friend, Bella wants Daren dead. The other male members of the mafia also do not receive much credit in Bella’s eyes. Bella neither likes nor dislikes James. He makes no movement to get to know her and she is quite fine with leaving it that way. She is unnerved with his homosexuality and that of his partner, Ian. Though Ian hasn’t done anything to Bella, seeing as how she has yet to come out and interact with him, she has seen him through Izzy’s eyes and currently has mixed feelings about the man’s presence in the mansion. She finds it rather funny how he seems to grate on Kyrin’s nerves but at the same time, she is annoyed with how he seems to cause problems that slightly upset Izzy. Of everyone in the mansion as of currently, the one probably suffering the most from Bella’s coldness is Nori. Bella considers Nori a freak and has no qualms calling him that to his face. She will avoid being anywhere near him if she can help it and only reluctantly accepts the meals he prepares just so that she can survive, seeing as she has no domestic skills whatsoever. The only member who is slightly spared a swing from Bella’s blunt knife of rude comments is Fiore. Bella is more or less passive around Fiore. She finds that how Fiore follows Izzy around is slightly annoying but Bella can’t doing anything extreme around the girl because she has to uphold the image that she and Izzy are one person. If that image is destroyed in Fiore’s eyes, there is nothing to stop it from spreading about the school and damaging Bella’s work there. Even Tristan, who has not been a part of the Butterfly Mafia long enough to truly have earned any sort of opinion from Bella, is looked down upon by the volatile persona. Bella preemptively dislikes the new man because he is increasing the number of people in the exponentially expanding group and also because she is wary that he may attempt to befriend her.

Sakura "Felix" Matsui; [Sa-ku-ra "Fee-Licks" Matt-sue-i] Sakura “Felix” Matsui is the nineteen year old daughter of Jiro Matsui, and therefore the niece of the most powerful crime lord in the lower city. Her half Japanese, half Nigerian lineage is testimony to the merging of Jiro’s and his wife, Nia’s mafias. Although Jiro and Nia’s constant arguing may make their marriage appear more as a “business arrangement”, those closest to the Matsui family know that behind closed doors, the couple is quite enamored with each other.
Like all her brother’s and sisters, Felix’s golden brown skin, 5’7” stature, and high cheekbones comes from her mother. Her dark, almond shaped eyes are, perhaps, the only detail that she has obtained from her father. Although she usually hides them behind a pair of red rimmed glasses, those who know her best notice the golden flash in her eyes; signaling she is up to no good. Her hair is naturally black with a wavy texture, however, Felix prefers to straighten, perm, and dye her hair platinum white with hot pink streaks. This unusual choice of hair, combined with the dire need to dress like a brightly colored Dita Von Tesse, is an eccentricity that comes from neither parent.
When Felix was younger, her only brother was kidnapped by Nia‘s brothers. Angered and embarrassed that their late father, Yerodin, deemed Nia, a woman, as heir, and then married her off to a rival family; the brother’s tortured and killed Nia’s son in cold blood. Blinded by rage at his loss, Jiro retaliated by placing a hit on each of Nia’s brothers, practically wiping out all of his wife’s immediate family. Completely devastated by these bloody events, Nia swore that the rest of her children would never be a part of their father’s work, or any other dangerous organization.
Due to this oath, Nia has grown to be very overprotective of her three daughters, practically forcing the girls to stay within the safety of her kimono parlor. While her elder sister’s were happy to work for their mother, only Felix felt completely suffocated by her mother’s constant smothering. Hating the humdrum life of her mother’s business, Felix often snuck away to hang out with Ky and her father. It was this exposure to her father’s business life, that led to the development of Felix’s computer skills, and the development of the Butterfly Mafia.
Now, many years after the creation of their “play mafia”, Felix still enjoys hacking, snooping into other people’s business, role playing, dying her hair, and inventing new gadgets. Her vast knowledge of computer programming, obsession with the latest technology, and strange sense of humor are traits that definitely stem from Jiro, who’s idea of “family time” consisted of teaching Felix how to take over a rivaling company’s electrical system, and then later spelling out dirty words via the building’s side windows. Although she doesn’t like to admit to it, Felix has a talent for absorbing different languages. (A gift that her mother likes to take credit for.) Currently, she is fluent in Japanese, English, French, and knows a bit of Yoruba. One talent that she does not posses, however, is with weaponry. Feeling that she is too clumsy a person to handle a gun, Felix opts to carrying a knife with her, even though she has little to no experience using one.
Felix believes that life is short, so she should live it up as much as she can...whether that involves the shameless torturing of others via elaborate pranks is completely dependent on her mood. Although she is very energetic, Felix can sometimes be considered annoying because she wants to know everything, and will be very persistent until she gets her way. She can also be very loud and obnoxious whenever she gets excited about anything. She’s also completely useless in combat. Any form of violent confrontation, Felix will freeze up and won’t move. This is mostly due to the live video of her brother’s murder that she found after hacking into his case file some year‘s back. She’s had elaborate nightmares of his murders ever since.
Felix absolutely adores Ky, whom she considers her favorite cousin and best friend. She loves Izzy, but is very bitter against Bella and often gets into fights with her. Xavier is her partner in crime and the brother she never got to know. She believes Jaydn has a permanent stick up his a**…but she would never say this to his face. Maddox…is Maddox. She is very indifferent about him, but secretly is plotting a grand master “Maddox prank” to break his polite shell. Due her recent array of missions causing her to move from place to place, Felix does not really know most of the Coyotes or the new mafia members that well at all. On the other hand, it was because of these missions that Felix and Eleck have had a chance to meet and get to know each other. Felix has been dating Eleck for a year. She views him as the special prize in Life’s cereal.
More than anything else in the world, Felix hates her real name. She feels it is completely generic, and has heard one too many references between herself and creepily wide eyed, sparkling anime characters. Her parents and Uncle Han are the only people she allows to call her by her real name. Anyone else, will find themselves receiving a punishment more painful than death.

Mikel; [Mee-Kal]
Mikel (Given name: Makoto) Matsui is Felix's nephew, but, as Kyrin has claimed many times, "her Meeekaaal". Although the boy genius is a certified doctor and unofficial surgeon for the Butterfly Mafia, the fourteen year old is often treated much younger than his age because of his baby face and gentle nature. Although Mikel is well versed in anything and everything that has to do with the human body, he blushes very VERY easily whenever speaking to actual people. (Felix often likes to tease him, constantly saying that he has a "dirty mind", but secretly, she's experimenting how red she can make the boy turn with one comment!) Always found in a nice tux or in bloody doctor's scrubs, Mikel often keeps his hair over his eyes because he thinks it cover's his red face better. The one's who have known him long enough, however, knows that his eyes are a pretty hazel green.
Very quiet and even tempered, Mikel can be found anywhere a book, or more preferably a library can be found. He loves a good cup of hot chocolate with LOTS of whip cream, and can be bribed into doing anything if offered one. Not very comfortable with people, Mikel often enjoys his trips to the less populated mansion...even if all the hugging [Kyrin] and teasing [Felix] unnerves him a bit. He's happiest when operating because there's a lot of peace and quiet...(But Felix just thinks he loves the gore...)

Nori; [No-ree]. Nori Michael Blauvelt is an 19 year old Male cross dresser. His Birthday is May 22nd (Gemini) and he was born to a Japanese/Korean mother and a German father. Nori's mother was a club hostess, and secret lover of his wealthy German father. Since his father already had another family, Nori lived with his mother in Japan, without any knowledge of his father or his father's other family.
At the age of six, his mother sent him away from poverty to live with his father in Munich, Germany, who made his fortune from Bavarian Motor Works, and from running a black market on the side. His step mother was much less than thrilled to have him there, but because she encloses herself in her room, they hardly saw each other anyways. Because of Nori's amazing problem solving and booksmarts, his father tends to favor him over his other children.
Nori's half-siblings consisted of two older brothers and two younger sisters, but the eldest half-brother whom he was closest to, Ehren, committed suicide for reason's unknown to his friends or family. The second oldest half-brother, Porsche, has a gentle face and manner, with sadistic tendencies. His jealousy of Nori led to a lot of unfunny pranks and mind-games, eventually blackmailing him to leave Germany when he found out about Nori's secret cross dressing. His cross dressing habits started when he was 12 and he was extremely insecure about his interests, but slowly learned to accept himself. His half-sister Fritzi is only 6 months younger and actually acted as an older sister to him. She found about his cross dressing first, but kept his secret and actually helped indulge him. Elsie, the youngest half-sister, has a girlish crush on Nori, which makes him uncomfortable. Although the family all lived in the same house, they only stayed in the same area together when they went to church (The family was Catholic, but Nori is agnostic) or if they had a visitor for dinner.
After going back and forth between America and Germany, (fluent in English and German) Nori finally situated himself in an American apartment suite after being blackmailed out of the Blauvelt place. He had heard about the mafia from his father's accounts and illegal side-projects. With no friends, no school and no entertainment, he decided to take a chance and recklessly request to join.
Nori is an average height, at about 5'7, but he has a thin and lengthy figure. His hair is naturally black, but he colors it blonde in respect to his German heritage. His eyes are a wide and cheerful light brown. He has a very effeminate and young looking face, almost as if he's 3 years younger than his real age.
He's very sensitive to other people's emotions, except love (which is something he knows almost nothing about). Nori always tries to put everyone else's happiness before his own, and sugar coats everything. Even if he dislikes a person, he will still try to be nice for the most part and understand them. He is the peacemaker in the group and tries to help others out even if they didn't ask for it. He is extremely gullible and a terrible liar, so he may easily be taken advantage of in some cases, but he's a loyal friend. After being home schooled and tutored, he never became a very sociable person, so he is a bit childish, but he's so used to being alone that it doesn't bother him at all. Being around Kyrin however, is giving him the ability to grow in confidence.
His hobbies include simple homey things like cooking, cleaning, and sewing, to complicated things like studying astronomical physics for fun. One of the few things that makes him valuable are his extraordinary math and science skills. Mathematics and theory work come to him very naturally, and it's a little known fact to the other mafia members. He has surpassed his mathematician tutors and now does theory work for a research lab for some extra cash. He plans on someday putting his skills to good use, perhaps as an astrophysicist, but for now he just independently studies. Although Nori loves to make friends with his house-mates, he feels like he is a burden. To make up for it, he will happily clean and cook for them. He doesn't have any skills physically or with a weapon, so he's thrilled by the fact that Kyrin still keeps him around and that he hasn't been murdered by Jaydn yet.
Kyrin is his best friend and they share plenty of thoughts together. They've been through a lot of drama during their time together in the mafia, and he has pretty much become her complimentary shadow, for whom he would gladly die for. He frowns upon her relationship with Miles, but that's only because he worries for her well being. Miles is too dangerous a character in Nori's mind, who can't offer Kyrin what she deserves. He is somewhat confused by Ky's cousin Jaydn, in that he would appear to be a composed leader, but the young boss turns into a loose canon whenever Nori would make his appearance in the room known. Nori knows that Jaydn hates him, so he simply tries to stay out of his way. However, he does feel like he'd like to get on even ground with him, as Jaydn makes him feel an unexplained pity. He is on good terms with Jaydn's brother Maddox however, and is somewhat neutral to Xavier. He also seems to get along with Charles for the few times he's been around the man, and appreciates his calm and composed nature. He has only recently been introduced to Molly, Jun, and Jason, and so still has an indifferent opinion of them.
He has a mild crush on Jamie and finds him physically attractive, but doesn't know him too well, except for the occasional charming comments, which seem to ensnare him easily. Nori can be quickly embarrassed and is not used to such attention, so he is particularly interested in Jamie even though he tells himself that they are just being social, not flirtatious.
Joining the Butterfly Mafia was a decision he never quite thought through, so he doesn't know what his future will be. But in the meantime, he's trying his best be as useful as he can, and has put his complete trust and safety into Kyrin.
