Kithria's Cove - General Breeding Information

Kithria is the patron Hero of children. She appears before couples who desire or are expecting children as well as troubled children to offer guidance. In life she was a very motherly taur who cared for children of all races with equal love. Although she's obtained hero status, Kithria has limited power. She is confined to a small cove near the sea and her magic (though powerful for it's purpose) can only be used for fertility. Kithria died long before the Unitaur/Naga wars started, and in time everyone forgot what race she was in life. Due partly to her weakened magic, Kithria cannot hold the form of her living body. As a result the viewer often sees her as the race they expect her to be. Most see her as a member of their own race.

Cost of Breeding
Each taur involved in a breeding costs 30k. There are no other fees, unless breeding over the limit or buying edits. Which owner pays how much should be worked out between the owners involved.

Breeding Fees & Requirements - Common/Uncommon Taur Breeding

Regular Male / Female, Same Race Breeding
Regular male x female couples who wish to breed only need to claim a breeding slot. They do not need to be mated. No RP required.

Same Gender, Same Race Breeding
Same gender couples who wish to breed must first be set as a Mated Pair in the Mated Taur List thread. There is also an RP requirement of 4k plus words between the two taur involved to be eligible, each time you wish to breed. You may pair your same gender couple before the RP requirement is met but they cannot be bred.

Male / Female, Cross Race Breeding
Cross race couples who wish to breed must first be set as a Mated Pair in the Mated Taur List thread. There is also an RP requirement of 4k plus words between the two taur involved to be eligible, each time you wish to breed. You may pair your cross race couple before the RP requirement is met but they cannot be bred.

Same Gender, Cross Race Breeding
Same gender/cross race couples who wish to breed must first be set as a Mated Pair in the Mated Taur List thread. There is also an RP requirement of 6k plus words between the two taur involved to be eligible, each time you wish to breed. You may pair your same gender/cross race couple before the RP requirement is met but they cannot be bred.

Number of Babies per Breeding
The standard number is two babies per breeding. Shop regulars (decided at the discretion of the breeder) at the time of the breeding, and pairs who submit an RP with 2k plus words will have a 50% chance to get an extra baby in their breeding.

Breeding Over the Limit
Most taur may only breed three times total. If you wish to breed your taur after you've used up the three breedings there is a fee of 20k per taur who's passed the limit.

Edits on Babies
If one or both parents had edits the owners may opt to pay a fee so that their babies will also have edits. Please note that the edits may only show up on the adult stage.The choices are as follows...
30k - All babies will share the same edits.
30k per baby - Each baby will have it's own edits.
At this time, simple edits only please!

Custom Lineart Babies
Right now, the only way to get unique lineart is to commission it at the regular prices. We apologize to any owners of unique lineart taur who want unique lineart babies but there's simply too much work involved to make one set of unique lines to offer it for breedings. There may be other options available in the future, but for now unique lineart taur count only as edited taur and may take the Edited Babies option if they wish.

Additional Breeding Information
These rules apply for ALL BREEDING TYPES, both standard and bribed!

The breeding rules are as follows...

• Common/Uncommon taurs may interbreed.
  
• Naga cannot interbreed with anything other than Armless/Cobra Naga & Anglers.
  
• Female Harpies can only breed with Male Harpies.
  
• Minotaurs & Satyrs cannot at this time interbreed with each other.
  
• Two legged taurs cannot interbreed with four legged taurs. The shop mule is the only exception to this rule EVER!
  
• Dolphins, Manta, Seahorse, & Syrin may interbreed.
  
• Anglers may interbreed with Manta, Seahorse & Naga.
  
• Ursataurs may interbreed with Common/Uncommon taurs.
  
• Unitaurs are only allowed to breed with other Unitaurs.
  
• Heavily edited or RL commission taurs follow the same rules as all other taurs as though they were made on the standard lines.

Special Breeding Rules

• Autumn King event taur offspring will not bear Autumn King event edits unless they are actually born in the fall!
  
• Autumn King's Gentry taur offspring will not bear the gentry edits unless they are actually born in the fall!
  
• Spring 2011 taur offspring will not bear the spring edits unless they are born in the spring (March 30th - June 20th)!
