 Starpelt followed her mentor, Larksparrow, across ShadowClan territory in the direction of the Moonstone. She was excited, each step she took was making her closer to being a real medicine cat apprentice. She was trembling slightly but she didn't want her mentor to see. She walked slowly until they reached where they would wait for the other medicine cats to arrive.

"We'll be meeting the others at the Windclan border," Larksparrow mewed, swiping her tongue around her muzzle a few times in an effort to rid her mouth of the bitter taste of traveling herbs. "Though there's really nothing stopping us from crossing considering Windclan is gone, it's a bit of a tradition." Larksparrow was perfectly fine keeping up with her eager apprentices pace, it allowed her to avoid Heartpool slightly.
Larksparrow couldn't wait to meet up with Cinderpelt, the she cat was wonderful company. Koisplash she didn't know as well, of course she'd skirted conversations with Riverclan whenever Mothwing was with them. The golden cat's rogue lineage didn't bother her as much as kittypet roots would have, but part of her didn't think she was cut out to be a medicine cat.

Starpelt suddenly stopped and stared at Larksparrow with bright, serious eyes. "What if I don't get accepted by StarClan?" She asked worridly. That would be a nightmare for her.

Larksparrow smiled and brushed her tail along Starpelt's flank reassuringly.
"Oh course you'll be accepted! You're a loyal, clanborn cat who has followed the warrior code all your life and your aptitude for identifying herbs is amazing. Any cat could look at you and tell that you are dedicated to this path."
The white cat slipped ahead of her apprentice. Besides, if Starclan didn't strike Heartpool down for claiming to be a medicine cat, Starpelt would be welcomed like newleaf was welcomed by a starving clan.

Starpelt smiled and purred. As long as her mentor said so it would be true. She was never wrong. She carried on confidently and walked alongside her mentor. Then she remembered a dream she had with a pure black she-cat. What did it mean? The she-cat showed her cats dieing. She would ask her mentor what it meant soon.

 Frostfur's mottled tail lay curled around his shockingly white paws as he waited patiently for Koisplash to appear. He didn't know the way to the place that they were going and frankly....he was nervous. He hadn't been an apprentice for long, barely a sun rise really, and he hoped that the StarClan would accept him as he was. He wanted....no needed to be able to hunt and gather herbs and generally feel as if he were of more use then he had been as a kittypet.
He still felt as if he hadn't even been useful then. He felt very much like a house trained kittypet still.

HeartPool sighed and kept a decent distance behingd the other two cats. StarClan accepted her when Littlecloud had trained her...that ment she was a medicine cat. She glared at the white cat. How did she get the dedication of apprentices and still be able to be positively rude and aggressive toward her. She shook her head. Shje could out do almost any cat at identifying herbs...she was still new on the starclan part...but she could heal God damnit... She snarled to herself and glared at the ground.

Koisplash was trailing behind Frostfur, carrying a bundle of herbs. He set it in front of him, his tail flicking impatiently.
"It's a long journey to Moonstones. You might want to eat this." He purred. "I already ate my share of traveling herbs, so they're all yours."
He waited for him to eat the herbs, so they can hurry up and get there already. Three figures in the distance which he assumed were the Shadowclan medicine cats were farther ahead of them. Koisplash did not need to give them another reason to gloat over them.

Frostfur nodded acknowledgement and bent to eat the herbs. The taste was horrible, but as Koisplash mentioned, he would need them. He made a face once the last of the herbs had disappeared and ran his tongue around the inside of his mouth, hoping to disperse the flavor.
"I'm finished." He mewed softly as he stood. "Is it...really alright for me to come? I've barely begun to learn all that you can teach me."

"Of course it's alright." Koisplash began heading his way to Moonstones, slowing his pace so Frostfur can keep up. "It necessary to recieve Starclan's approval for you to begin learning anyway."
He stopped, and glanced back at him. "Oh, you don't need to worry about you being not accepted. Riverclan needs all the medicine cats it can get, even if you're a kittypet. Starclan understands that."

Starpelt sat down and saw two figures coming towards them. It must be RiverClan she thought.

Larksparrow lifted her head and cast her gaze over Riverclan territory. The shadowy outlines of two cats were drawing closer. Larksparrow was about to look toward Thunderclan when she realized there as something unfamiliar about of the cat's gait. The cat seemed a bit uncertain in step, and didn't wander in Mothwing's slightly distracted yet graceful manner. Koisplash must be bringing another cat!
She started to ponder the possibilities. The cat was too large to be an apprentice, so a new medicine cat apprentice or warrior apprentice making the trip before their ceremony wasn't plausible. The unknown shadow was jumpy enough to be Mothstar, but didn't have the exact build of the Riverclan leader. Who was it?

Starpelt seemed to read her mentor's mind as the strange new cat came closer. The cat was about her size. Could it be another warrior training to be a medicine cat? Or had Mothwing injured herslef forcing her to walk in such a strange gait. She decided that she would keep quiet unti lthe strange cat came.

Koisplash approached the Shadowclan medicine cats after a long time walking. His paws were slightly sore, but the pain was overshadowed by the new black she-cat that he had never seen before. He narrowed his eyes as he curiously studied her.
"Hello Larksparrow, Heartpool. And who may be this? An apprentice? It seems that there is a trend for adult apprentices."
He laughed, staring back at where Frostfur was. Koisplash gave him a beckoning look and turned back to the three.

Starpelt dipped her head respectfully as the RiverClan medicine cat approached. "My name is Starpelt." She mewed. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you." She looked over to where the medicine cat was staring and noticed a white and brown shape coming. The cat must be an apprentice like herself. She looked down at her paws then at where Heartpool sat some distance away from her. The she-cat had not said anything the whole trip. Was something wrong?
