was it about plants coming back after humans have gone? did it mention the place with high radiation and then all the plants came back and then animals, but no humans....I thought that was nice tho. The animals and plants really need a place of their own that no matter what, we won't and can't destroy or live there.

The world needs people. There is a balance just plates and animals. I think that it wouldn’t last long. Large number of animals do over populate fast and with no people do help control them they could consume more and more plates or other animals which would end up leaving a lot of animals with no food and as the years went on it would only grow to a bigger problem.

Honestly, I thought the show was pretty weak. If you've ever read the book "The World Without Us" You know what I'm talking about.

If not, I guarantee that book will blow your mind away.

Definitely, of all the books I've read regarding the environment I would definitely have to give that one my number one.
Kinda depressing though, before I read that book I regarded all of it's competition as equals. Afterwards, they all seem so...inferior, and bland, and weak. It's like climbing up a ladder and then finally reaching the top, you suddenly have no idea where to go next except down.

Excellent, I guarantee you'll enjoy the book a good deal, it really gets good once you get towards the middle and you realize what the true message of the book is.
It's not just about what our world will look like after we're gone, which was the focus of the show on the history channel, but rather it examines something else, something that may very well change how you look at things.

It certainly changed me. Now I really wish Alan Weisman would come out with another good book to read, I'm hooked on the author.
