According to the Gaia Panel at Otakon: Quote: GUILD UPDATES: We can finally spend the guild gold! As this was anouced along with Guild sub fourms the crowd went crazy again! What the guild gold will be spent on? Guild houses of course! Guilds will also be able to buy special Gaia homes of there own to place items in as well as upgrade with the gold donated to the guild. Finally, Rommy can have the church she's always dreamed of. Quote: More on Towns: You start off at Barton train station in Bartan town, it will run via flash just like every other Gaia related game. From the town you can warp to the other towns. In each one is a few neighbor hoods each one has up to 6 houses. I can't remember how many people can be in each town/house at once but I'm sure there will be multiple Gaia Town servers otherwise it would be imposible to do with hundreads of people on screen at once. Now we can have a Church Neighborhood, or collection of neighboorhoods. Someone want to start mapping it out so we don't have a lot of confusion when it's finally released? And finally, on a slightly stranger note: Quote: Some of you may wonder, when will Gaia get back wings? Lanzer commented that due to back wings being in such high demand that part of the quest system will later on alow you to quest for such items in the future as well as weapons for the battle arena and old donation items and new items most likely only availbe through long quest. Emphasis mine. Economy-haters rejoice - it looks like the Admin has decided to single-handedly destroy the letter-based economy. Watch for prices to skyrocket in the near future, and then completely bottom out once the quest system is released. If you've been hoarding letters, now is probably the time to sell them.

*Reads the Otakon link*
Wait, they are gonna have a Spammer class in the battle system?!
Gendou, who do I see about changing my Racial Hatred bonus from "kobolds" to "Spammers"? twisted

Watch for prices to skyrocket in the near future, and then completely bottom out once the quest system is released. If you've been hoarding letters, now is probably the time to sell them. No offense, but I seem skeptical as to whether or not this will destroy the letter economy as we know it. The only reason I'm very skeptical of it, is in every mmo or massive anything I have ever been to or played - whenever there is an economy that people hate, and they offer a solution - although viable, it will not destroy the economy that is already in play. I would advise not to sell your letters, as I bet the reward system that they are going to put into play will require tons of time and effort, which will be equivelant to a similar amount of time that it would take to quest for an item the way the current system is set up. However, I do not doubt that the prices of letters will skyrocket prior to release, as well as drop slightly in price after the release, but I do not think that it will be by a significant amount of cash. If you wish to exploit this to gain cash, it would probably be best to start buying letters now, and sell them when the prices start to skyrocket right before the release of the new questing system. By selling now, you will probably hurt yourself more than holding on to your current letters untill more information is released. ----------------------------------- In terms of a church or a neighborhood - I'd be more than willing to drop a few thousand gold in order to help the organization of such to happen. I have plenty of items I don't really use that I could sell off if needed. 3nodding

Gendou Now we can have a Church Neighborhood, or collection of neighboorhoods. Someone want to start mapping it out so we don't have a lot of confusion when it's finally released? Well, I think one central question is how do we want it organized? I'd honestly rather not see a hierarchy or anything of that sort, but six person neighborhoods don't leave a lot of room. Maybe aim for a spoke wheel out of the Church? What sort of effect do we want this to have on IC roleplaying? ninja I wonder if the SoR can be placed under the Church. As for the letters... I'm not too worried. Chances are there will be a degree of uncertainty to the whole thing as well. Admin seems to like Variable Reinforcement Schedules.

The economy here doesn't bother me much, but as for the church and neighborhood, I'd help out, if I knew what I was doing. What little skills I have and can offer, I will. I'm part of this guild, and I'll do my part.

Guys, in terms of funding...
Presently we have over 120,000 g for the guildhall and possible extras.
If important stuff is needed I can sell my inventory, save for the 'core rommy' identity, and double that number. I think we'll be able to make a fine modist community.

A good name for our settlement would also be nice.
I have no idea if neighborhoods will be nameable or not, but just in case, it might be good to have some ideas before we start building.

Icy has Faith in Lanzer. I was at that panel. I truely doubt that Lanzer would try to destory this economy. I predict that questing will just open up a way to get a few more of the items that have been lost over time back into the system. Just as the wheel is a way to get those rare items back into the system. It will also give a chance to those that do not get much donations for their quest or those that are not good artists/exchangers/venders to get the items of their dreams.
As for the neighborhood.... Would Icy be allowed a home there too? ><;;
*sighs* I'm going to have to get a house...

If Neighbourhoods are nameable, we could also name them after those listed in the, "Those Who Wear Wings," thread? Who wants to live on Romuel Road? Cryllia Close? Vermillion Avenue? whee Incidentally, I don''t mind where I live. If it affects RP or the like, I''d probably be best suited on the outskirts anyway, since I''m not even in SoR. blaugh

I'm in. Also, if it looks like we need more funding later on, I have 2 labcoats and an emo bag that I rarely wear which would fetch a good price.
This means I need to get my error issue sorted out, though.

Rommy, you've spent enough money on us. Fairy wings, donations guild wise, our quest... I'll be damned to the Chatterbox to bump my way for gold to get us the funds if I have to, before I'll ever let you sell one item of your clothing for us. You've done enough. My inventory goes before yours, Rommy, so don't worry about funds *hug* heart Neighborhoods-This means they're going to fix the housing system, yay? surprised

Oooo. Meighborhoods named after the saints? That'd be nice. <3 But we have to have a Durem Street. O: Because last I checked, that was the address people RPed the CoM/SoR on.
