"We're going to try something new today." Susan greeted Kaden and Keagan with those words as one banged into the front seat of her car and the others into the backseat. But we're going to the same place. You boys can't keep together very long. I think today we'll be able to push that."

"HEY!!" Ace's greeting from where he was sitting behind Darebone was enthusiastic and running over the last of her words. "What's up? I'm Ace! I can't WAIT!"

Sigh. We could say 'poor Susan' at this point, though I'm inclined more toward 'crazy Susan.' It was her suggestion and her constant reasoning combined with Ace's excited nagging that had been the reason for Jim's reluctant agreement to give his son up for the weekend so he could come today and train with Kaden and Keagan.

"Ace is my newest weapon to make stuck trainees go further," Susan continued, "He might look cute and cuddly, but you'd better beware. He's dangerous."

Deuce had come along with Ace. The scorpion made of twigs crawled on Ace's right shoulder, the one nearest th e twin inthe backseat with him, tail waving slightly as it observed.

"I'll ONLY bite if you don't feed me!" Ace whined.

"YOU BOYS! All you EVER think about is your stomach!" Susan reached by her feet and picked up a bag to toss to the one sitting next to her. It had three large apples, "If you complain about that, I'm falsifying a doctor's order so your parents and coachesf force youon a diet!"

Ace kicked the back of the chair in front of ihm, but didn't argue them point. Susan was the least of people he wanted to make mad. He turned to the twin sitting next to him, "So, when you two super-buff up, you should take Suzie down, and we'll force her to take us out!"

Susan laughed, "The day they can take me is the very day Ill give you all a hundred bucks a piece for your own gorging pleasure!"

"ALRIGHT! You better make a stop at the bank, becase you're going down today!" Ace cheered, kicking her seat again, "RIGHT?" He demanded of Kaegan and Kaden.

Susan rolled her eyes.

"Here's what we'll do," Ace said cheerfully, biting into his apple and speaking around the food in his mouth, "I'll power you two up SUPER much, and then when Susan's dodging and you're about to deliver a super death kick, I'll super power Susan up and then she'll FALL, and we'll win!"

"First of all, you shouldn't let me know your plan. Secondly, that plan sucks. When they deliver their super death kick - which they can't do because they don't know HOW to and can't stay together long enough for it anyway - and you force MORE power on me, they're going to break their merged bone. I don't know what that would look like when they separate in pain...THEN you will have to spend you money and MORE on hospital bills."

"Well, ok, I'll zap all your energy away."

"You can't do that either."

"By the time they learn to deliver a death-kick, I will be able to."

"You can't even feel your powers NOW, and there's no indication that you can do that."

"You better call the hospital yourself, set up an account to start now. Because YOU'LL be the one headed there!"

"Then I won't have three hundred pieces of lint to give you, much less---"

"GROSS, I hope you don't have that NOW!"

Susan sighed, "It's called a--"

"Ew, does Charles know you don't bathe?"

Susan went quiet. What was this? Kindergarten?

"Maybe our death-ray will be water, when Suzie gets rid of all the lint-grime, she'll be nothing!!"

Susan decided it best not to comment that clothes, and not humans, gather lint. Today was going to be interesting.

"EXACTLY!" Ace said, "That's why her coal was a bunny coal. It's her evil minion! We'll take you down, evil-lint-rock-Suzie-thing!"

Oh. Good. Gracious.

"Right. You three enjoy your time of delusional thinking now. I'll be disillusioning you here shortly."

Indeed, they had 20 minutes to get to where they were going, and Susan was going to turn into her serious-trainer self.

Ace kicked the back of her seat again. "So we need soap and water and a good scrubbrush! Or maybe just a vacuum cleaner...You two should try merging into a different form. Then you can give the super vacuum cleaner death blow... ah.. The super vacuum cleaner death suck and destroy the evil dustiness!"

Ace laughed with Keagan the whole time. He was GREAT fun!!

By the time they reached the normal training location, Keagan and Ace had quite the spectacular game idea going on. They were going to save -- and rule -- the world through their super vacuum cleaner. And it would start with Susan's demise today!

"Up and out, let's see if your plan works," Susan jumped out of the car, closing the door quickly. She shuffled the boys inside, speaking to Ace as she did, "Now look, there is nothing exciting going on today. You will have to learn how to concentrate and use your ability to enhance theirs. And, boys, you need to see how it feels with Ace helping you out. See if you can clue in to something new as you do that. Do you understand? Yes? Great...Now. I'll even give you a help in trying to beat me up. I'M not going to use my powers. Go ahead and try your merge." She grinned at them, insult clearly there. They couldn't take her on even as she was!

"You couldn't take me out if I was tied up." Susan laughed at them.

"WHOA, that is so cool!! You two are awesome!" Ace bounced from foot to foot excitedly. Yes, that was apparently his end comment on all of the evolveds in his life. ALL powers were "SO COOL!" to the teenager, "You two are...are...turn into mega you!"

And with that excitement, Ace did indeed wish on them a stronger bond, better ability to stick together. Yet again, he didn't know it, but his abilities were working on them.

Susan watched with a critical eye, her stopwatch already on to see how long they'd keep the merge, and a mental notepad ready to scribble mental notes to record later.

"Wha-whoooaa!" Susan said, but the exclamation was a glad one.

Experience naturally won out over them, even if they were now undoubtedly both bigger and stronger than her. Susan easily ducked, and then used their own momentum to flip them over her. She jumped back a few feet, turning around to look. Would they unmerge at being thrown down?

"Super K, go, go!!" Ace cheered them on.

Deuce, as was normal for the scorpion now, clipped a pincer on Ace and held on for dear life.

OOC: Remember that Ace's power-up doesn't account for experience. wink The twins are still going to have to learn to work together, and how to actually punch/kick/fight. You've not gone overboard, just a gentle reminder because it is tempting to do so!

IC:

Susan had no difficulty in staying away from the twins. She even jeered a bit, challenging them as it went. What? She thought they were tough enough to take her on with armor and all, and they weren't even getting a good lick in! Maybe she should have sent in a counter-bet!

"I'll get her and hold!" Ace cheered, just playing now like it was a big puppy-dog fight. He bounced closer to do this that.

Susan rolled her eyes, "You'll just end up tripping over each other!"

"Trip-slide-attack!" Ace did indeed dive for feet as he said that.

Susan cleared her way from both boys, smirking at the momentum the twins had int heir newest attempt to try to get her while she was distracted with Ace. If Ace didn't manage to "trip-slide-attack" his "teammate," it would be a minor miracle.

"...Ow..." Was Ace's answer, "Get off!" He flailed at whoever was still on top of him and inched his way from underneath, "Foo, Suzie's FAST!"

"No, you're slow." Susan was having a hard time not laughing right out, but ended up managing it by giving the boys a critical look, "How are you feeling? What was so different? Obviously, Ace is working, even if he denies the presence of his abilities." She eyed the teenager.

Ace grinned, "It's just my fantastic yet fearsome presence that charms and whips people into shape."

Susan blinked at Ace, then decided to ignore that all together, turning her attention back to the others.
