America does that all the time. Look at the Office. Great show... Then the Americans got their hands on it. They think it's funny, but that's because they haven't seen the original.

May I point out that the information flows both ways. Britain has their own version of Friends and two or three other americans shows running on their networks.
However, I will take BBC sitcoms over american sitcoms almost always.
