i know we all hate weeaboo

but i need some advice on just one little thing and we all know you cant rely on PP for anything.

i took a photo of myself to get the original proportions and shape and stuff correct (since im s**t at that), and just tweaked it to go a bit more... um.. weeaboo..
but so i cant be too ridiculously far off on the a**. But somethings wrong anyway.
the whole foreshortening thing or whatever. Makes her look like ive lopped out her hips and rammed her legs up there.

is it in the shading or what?
can i make it less freaky by changing something easy _ D_ ?

and yeah i know the hair and foot need major fixing

I think that maybe her torso is too short
I'm s**t at this pose too though.

or maybe the angle of her leg is a little wrong
I wish I could see the picture so i could see

I think also it might be that you're treating the top of the pelvis as the leg. You need more hip on your torso before the leg bends.

I think if you elongate the torso, move the legs down a bit, it should look better.

the top line is where the pelvis starts and then the bottom one is where the legs connect to it.
you've drawn the legs like the hips would rotate as the legs moved like they were part of them when actually the hips are part of the torso.

wow thats so mature and helpful

one thing i noticed thatd be relatively easy to fix is that the right (her left) knee seems to be pointed inward like the other one, but the lines that define her kneecap are more in the center of her leg. its more noticeable since the right (her left) foot is more pointed inward than the other foot though so if you wanted her leg to be from a more forward view you could always change the foot

i dont think theres anything wrong with the length of her torso since i actually understand her knees to be elevated a bit above her bum and thighs but thats just me

plz finish it @ w@

Uh oh, I thought it was cute.
Damn me and my lack of a harsh critique with underlying superiority-art-school-cynicism!

Is there a 'no commenting that you think the art is cute' rule I didn't hear about?

Oh, one thing that does bug me is her left (our right) leg.
It appears rather, bendy. Im not sure if it's because of the fabric slightly draping the claf or what...it just looks a bit over bent.
Keep in mind the 'bones-don't-bend rule, (it;s one I happen to take liberties with sometimes crying )

love them both, don't think they need crit since they don't look immediately wrong to my eyes. You could point out the short torso or whatever but I'd have not noticed if some one hadn't aid it so its not a obvious anatomy flaw imo

This is what's always so funny about refs. This has totally happened to me before, almost countless times.

You ref something from a photograph to get it to look right.

Then, even as close to the ref as it is, it looks jacked up. You tell people it's a ref and people just think you've reffed really poorly.

Sometimes I suspect the body does actually look ******** up. We don't notice it as much in photographs because our mind registers it automatically as being 'real', and so it dismisses 99% of visually disruptive flaws.

This is just my half-assed theory, of course

her right leg can't logically be there, you should lower it and give it more intense shadowing
That will make it look like it's natural and the difference in light will make her left leg make more sense
