Is it just me, or does Marching band need to count as a P.E. credit? It's harder than most of the excercizes they make us do in real P.E. It covers both the hottest and coldest time of the year, and the uniforms are uncomfortable to say the least. If you have ever taken marching band then there is a strong chance that you will agree, so post at the bottom and tell me what you thing.

Yeah, it counts as P.E. credit at my school. That's one reason why some people join.

It counted as a P.E. credit the year before I came to high school, and now it's not. It makes me mad. Sure, you can take Social Dance for a P.E. credit and you don't even have to increase your breathing rate! But in Marching Band, you're sweating all of the time, but does that count as a P.E. credit? Nooooo!

Band counts as an art and a PE at our school. I think they do it that way so you won't have to catch up with other credits on account of being in band. Two for one.

We need three semesters of marching band to equal one semester of PE. It's rather stupid, really.

It counts for us. In fact, it's just another PE class. Since it only runs for a semester, you get a semester's worth of credits. If you do Winter Guard or Drumline, you can get a full year's credit. All freshmen here have to take a full year of PE, so if you do that freshmen year and then two fall semesters of MB, you get the same credit as doing two full years of PE class. It's pretty fair and awesome. My only complaint is that we have crap buses etc. They give the nice ones to the football players.

It counts for us. x____X When you go to school in Texas which probably sends more Marching Bands to Bands of America than most other states. e get worked pretty hard during Marching season. Plus we've got the old director from Winston E. Churchill High school from San Antonio Texas. I think they placed in the top 5 or so in Nationals. x____X ( xD My High Schools making a come back. We used to be one of the Top Bands in San Antonio..) The football players all laughed at us when we were out running laps with them during summer band. PAH!
If we're in Marching Band by the time you graduate you have enough credits. (: YAY!
