 Love this anime, though is really slow sometimes [ and Renton annoyed the hell outa me >_<] Quote: Eureka Seven centers around Renton Thurston, the fourteen-year-old son of Adroc Thurston, a military researcher who died saving the world. He lives what he considers a boring life with his mechanic grandfather in a boring town. He loves lifting, a sport similar to surfing but with air as the medium. He dreams of joining the renegade group Gekkostate, led by his idol Holland, a legendary lifter. An opportunity to do so practically falls into his lap when a large mechanical robot, called the Nirvash typeZERO, and Eureka, a member of Gekkostate, crash into Renton's room. Renton's grandfather orders him to deliver a special part to the Nirvash, which reveals the immense power dormant within the typeZERO. Afterwards, Renton is invited to join Gekkostate, where he quickly discovers that the behind-the-scenes life of Gekkostate is hardly as glamorous or as interesting as printed in the glossy pages of their magazine, ray=out. Only one thing makes it all worthwhile for him: the presence of Eureka, the mysterious pilot of the Nirvash. Renton, Eureka along with the Nirvash and the Gekkostate will embark on an adventure that will shape their future as well as the world's. ^ That, sounded.... cheesy o_O;;;. And there's a whole lot more going on in the series than just Renton.
It's a series that fits into many different genres, mech, romance, adventure.... There's 50 episodes, it was created by studioBONES [ heart ] and is released in America by Bandai.

I've only seen to like episode 5, but it was really good, and i've read all the manga.
the ending was saaaad! ;_;
I know this is horrible of me, but I hope the anime has a better ending.

thestarthatshines I've only seen to like episode 5, but it was really good, and i've read all the manga. the ending was saaaad! ;_; I know this is horrible of me, but I hope the anime has a better ending. GULLIVER BACKPACK! *GLOMP* OH IT DOES. The manga's ending was gay. >_< so very gay. The anime's ending on the other hand, was really sweet x333 [ last episode called "When you wish upon a star" it was so very sweet! ;-; ]

I finished the anime series (it made me cry, I feel stupid ^^ wink
I'm currently collecting the dvds and mangas, but so far the manga series doesn't seem any different than the anime series. Where does the story start to differ? I wasn't under the impression they WERE different. I thought they were the same...
(only have mangas 1 &2 XD)
Also, I'm looking for the first dvd...so, if anyone has one they'd be willing to sell online... surprised

I heard someone say this once - "The manga is just a pitiful excuse to put together a whole bunch of kick-a** mech fights in manga form" [ I don't remember who said it sweatdrop ] I mean, it's still good, but so different......>_< Awww, don't worry, I cried too x333. So sweet, episode 48 and a couple of others made me fall in love with DomAne, so sweet heart . Sorry, I can't help u with the DVD >_< I got mine when i bought the starter set for it. I need to get vol2 ...>_>

I liked the series at first but after rewatching it, I didn't find it as good. Decent mecha designs though. Had some good music but that's about all I can say.
My gripes were a lot of the character interaction seemed awkward at best. The whole rush of Renton and Eureka seemed weird. Same with Domonic and Anemone. Anemone was all like bwa I hate you since she appeared and then was all like bwa I love you. I get how that was supposed to happen but it just didn't seem like it would work.

Personally, I think Eureka is the most creative mech series since the original Gundam. I agree with Yuldo about some of the love intrests though. But, don't you beleive in love at first sight? Also, I loved most of the characters, they were well-developed and had characteristics all their own. I think I would most want to meet Moondoggie, though. I think he's awesome!
Also, I really liked Charles and Ray I was sad when ::Spoiler:: they died. But when Ray was shot down, I couldn't help but laugh...she was CRAWLING to her own arm! Is that really horrible of me to do?
Also, E7 had some amazing openings, closings, and insert songs.

Ehh, I see where you're coming from, but I dismissed it as being the whole "Hey, we're young and in love! =D" type thing, like, you know how kids are in romantic relationships, they think their first one is going to last forever and that they're really in love. Dominic and Anemone, I kinda saw it coming, and to me it makes more sense...but Eureka and Renton....Oo; But, i do agree they both were rushed; but on the other side,the romantic side of me still finds their relationships cute.

Holland had such a bad temper xDD!

Yeah, it was still a decent series to me but I didn't find it was good as when I first saw it. When I first saw it I was all like 9/10 then 2nd time around 7/10. Only reason why it dropped due to the love thing was because I rewatched Overman King Gainer and even though it was rushed I found the development of Gainer and the girl he like Sarah better.

Twilights heart for some reason i see the show on tv all the time, yet im never able to be able to just sit down and watch it.. i always end up getting up and playing kingdom hearts or something. lol I could never do that 1- I hate Kingdom Hearts [ with a passion ] 2- I hate video games >_>;;;; and E7 is off TV now anyways :'/
