The city.. What a b... What a gross, gloomy place to be in the winter... Its.. Beautiful.. If you look past all the car thief, drug dealers and other really strange things you wouldn't really see when you are in the outer-skirts of town. Some dogs are claimed by humans, but still roam the dirty streets, that is always fill with paper, cups and other degrading things the humans throw on the ground. Some of that is food for Dogs.. Since most don't have a home..
Hayashi, a young Cocker Spaniel, always roamed the streets. Even when seh was younger. She was always fond of the streets and all the lights and noisy cars. She use to live in the suburbs. But then her master decided to come back to the place where she first found little Hayashi. So it wasn't such a change. Even though where she use to live was way cleaner. But she didn't mind that now. She just wanted to walk along the alleys, which she did, and remember the old days.
Standing in front of a trash can, so paused and looked at it. Wondering why it brought memories. But the real memory was a box. She kicked it with her paw and then went in it. She was glad that she had a tag on her. So the pound wouldn't take her away to her doom. "I wish we could have stayed in the suburbs.. To many memories here.. It just.. Makes me feel really down.." She wiggled out the box and walked out the alleyway.

The black and gold small dog pranced his way through the streets of the very large city. His tail wagged a bit, or what he had of a tail, and his tongue hung from his mouth. He was a good mannered fellow, though the city had once over-whelmed him. Now, he lived in teh busy bustling streets all year round.
His heavy paws padded around the dirty sidewalk, while the cars sped past, almost knocking him sideways in force. He grumbled a bit, normally the city was his thing.. But he personally despised winter. It was a bothersome time.
He had hated winter since he had been abandoned on the streets as a pup.. Or.. Not really abandoned.. Did it count as abandoned if you ran away? Surely it did.. Because he hadn't meant to get lost.
A chill going through him, he turned down into the alleyway, keeping to the shadows.

As she slowly padded out the alleyway. A new smell came across her. As she looked beside her there was another dog in the neighborhood. She always have to check all the new comers when it comes to the city. Even though.. She thought she smelled him from some where before. Before completely walking out. She shrugged and followed him quietly. Wondering if he can notice if someone is behind him. But that could take to long.
She didn't want to say anything, thinking that he could attack her. So she acted like a ninja. Trying not to startled the smaller dog, which made her remind her of someone she also knows.

Asher's sensitive nose sniffed the air. Someone was near him. He stopped walking. His ears perking, and his eyes going from side to side without turning his head.
"Hello?" He called out, not even checking to look behind him. HIs paws stood in place, and shuffled slightly.
That smell was not the city.. That smell was of a dog of the city.

Hayashi was looking around behind she noticed he stopped, which made her run up into him by fault. She looked down at him and sighs. She didn't want him to think that she is a stalking. Then she will never feel good about herself. She slowly brushed past him and cleared her throat. And does her normal welcoming introduction for someone she hasn't met before.
"Hello, new comer! And welcome to the city! I.. Hayashi am the one that makes sure everything is straight around here.. So I pretty much rule this here city.. Please watch your back and be careful!" She smiled down at him. "So.. What is your name, kind sir?" Well.. She hope it was a Sir.. He was smaller than her, and she usually think of a teen dog or a puppy. But its always good to start with Sir or Ma'am with small breeds like him.

She spoke rather fast, and her questions were endless. His golden eyes widened slightly in response to her greeting. Oh well.. Coulda been worse. He could have very well met a mean neighborhood dog.. But she was livable, so he nodded in return.
"My name is Asher. Its uh.. Nice to meet you Hayashi." He answered.
He wasnt used to other dogs.. In fact.. His social skills were dispicable. But at least he was alive..
At least he was alive.

Hayashi felt she was startling the small Westie. She gave him a small smile, this time, she spoke in her normal speed. "Well.. Hello Asher.. Its nice to meet you as well.." She said softly. She never saw anything so small before. He was almost half of what herself was.
She didn't want to stare at him but she stood next to him. Looking down at him with a rather small frown. "So.. Are you.. From here?" She asked him as she is still standing next to the rather short dog.

Asher had never had a size complex. He was fully in the mindset that life was good in little packages. He lived okay.. Even escaping predatory things because of his size.
He was sizing her up too, a little dissappointed that she was bigger, but he'd never say anything. It was like being upset that an Akita was bigger than he was..And that was an obvious difference.
His stubbed tail wagged as he cocked his head. His blackened coal fur was glistening in the shadows. His golden swirls along his legs and underbelly catching the rays of sun that could get through.
That was his downfall. He was so damned shiny!
"Heaven's yes. I've been here all my life. Though Ive yet to meet you before."

Hayashi was dumbfound as he said he was here most of his life. Even though this is her first time seeing him.. Maybe she hasn't noticed due to his size? But its not hard to not see him. As she stood next to him a beam of let came to her eyes.
She backed away from him and rubbed her eyes. " I see.. I wonder why I have never seen you here before.." She said, still trying to block her eyes from the extremely shinny male. She wanted to ask him how he got his coat so.. So shinny that it could make someone blind. But she thought that might be a bit rude, so she stood in front of him with a warm smile.

Truth was.. He kept to the shadows. He didn't like mingling with others. This one was okay.. but who was to say the one three blocks from here would be the same? He despised having to feel like he had to impress. And he was very competitive, so it was indeed something he felt everytime.
He felt the need to impress this femme, though he was unsure why.
He cocked his head.
"Sooo..Ms.. Queen of the City. What are you doing way out here?"

Hayashi smiled at him and pointed to the store from across the street. Once she looked over there, she blinked and didn't see her owner. She knew her way out of the town if her owner did live her, but she wasn't suppose to be wondering around.
"Well.. I came here.. With my owner.. But she seems to be missing now.." She mumbles. "I guess I'm going to stay here 'til she gets back.." She adds and looks around. "So.. Do you live in the suburbs.. I do.. I was born in the city.. But my new owner took me to the 'countryside' as she calls it." She finally took in some of the smoky air and started to cough a bit.
