I can't figure it out. I'm not a particular Edward-hater, or anything. I was just sitting at home, staring at the ceiling, and I said to myself: I hate vampires. I really do. It was the oddest thing. And you what? It's true!!! I hate vampires with a true passion. If I were in any vampire book, I would want to be some vampire hunter. Not just the Twilight series, although it is included, not as a werewolf, or anything like that in particular. I would just want to be the one doing the vampire in. I can't figure it out, but that is how I feel. Anyone else feel that way?

I dont' have any feelings for vampires. I don't hate or like them. They're just characters in a story confused

i see why i mena yes its filled with vampires but its still is full of romance, killing, blood, gore, and more romance any body could liek it! including vampire haters

btw i do not hate vampires i dis liek them ....theres a diffrence but edward annoys me.

I'm going to answer back one at a time:

KiraLight: Well, of course I realize that, but you can hate characters in a story just as much as any real person.

Kore-Goddess of Rebirth: Yes, I am sorry to say it, really I am, but even the Twilight vampires get my hatred flowing. Oh, except maybe Carlisle. I can deal with him. But every other and any other vampire...okay, I have to stop now.

AnimeSk8rGirl: Just because I dislike vampires rather strongly doesn't really have to do with liking the book or not. Think about it this way. Love and Hate are not two opposites. They are two very strong emotions, yes? Indifference is the opposite of Love and Hate, because you're not feeling anything at all.
And, vampire books in general are interesting to me still. I just happen to feel a very different emotion than a person who thinks vampires are all that, and I perhaps see the scenes in a different point of view. Saying "Why read the book?" just because I hate vampires would be like asking a Jake fan "why read the book?" just because they are not fond of Edward.

lildarkangel3001: Yes, I did like vampirs before my realization. I was a huge Edward fan! And yes, it's jsut the actual species I hate, not the stories about them. Heck, vampires make great characters, whether they're protangonists or antagonists! I actually think it had something to do with the fact that I read Dracula for the second time. Yes, I know, not exactly like the Twilight Series, but admit it, Dracula is the most famous vamp out there. And I looked at the book and said "Hm. You know what? I agree with this book. All vampires (good or bad,) should be staked, (or in aTwilight Series case, blown apart and bured twisted ,) just to save the trouble of unnatural things causing trouble for good people." I think that started me on my tirade.

Oh yes, and by the way, it was Bram Stoker's version of Dracula. (Best one out there, in my and many others' opinion.

Hey, just imagine if Dracula were a Twilight vampire. Mankind would be SCREWED!

if you hate vampires why did you read the twilight series plus if you where a vampire hunter in the twilight series i would REALLY hunt you down and kill you like vampires kill other vampires!
